Emperor's Decree (1)

Izan's pulse thundered in his ears, a constant reminder of the urgency that now propelled him forward. His thoughts, tangled and chaotic, raced ahead as his feet carried him swiftly out of his chambers. His father's revelation felt like a storm, its weight crashing over him in relentless waves. He needed to find Elian, needed to tell him everything, and most of all, they had to uncover the truth about Ireen Montclair.

Each step felt heavier than the last as Izan stormed down the palace corridors, the shadows of doubt and confusion dogging his every move. He hardly noticed Dillion's approach until the man was right in front of him, his face ashen with concern. Dillion opened his mouth, no doubt to ask how the conversation with the Emperor had gone, but Izan had no time to waste on explanations. Not yet.

"Come with me," Izan commanded, his tone sharp with urgency, waving for Dillion to follow. "I'll explain on the way."
