"Are you sure you want to see it now?" the butler asked, trying to dissuade me. "Wouldn't it be better to wait until tomorrow? The master isn't here, and..."

I knew the nobleman who hired me wouldn't be angry if I started working earlier. In fact, he would probably be pleased, as he was willing to pay a handsome reward to whoever found the murderer.

But why didn't the butler want me to go there? Was he just afraid of his master's anger, or was he hiding something? I couldn't tell at that moment.

I looked at him sternly and said, "I thought I was hired to find the culprit. Are you hiding something? After all, you're also a suspect..."

The butler chuckled nervously. "I understand that I'm a suspect, but I assure you I'm not the culprit. Come with me, and I'll show you where it happened."
