The Ambition of the Siren Girls

A week later.

Outside the capital city, in the wide plaza, Setsuna stood with his expedition team.

Most of them were shipgirls, led by Enterprise, dressed in her white naval uniform and officer's cap. Behind her stood Guam, Essex, Belfast, Formidable, and others.

Gudako stood excitedly beside Setsuna. Unlike him, she didn't have the ability to store her Gundam at will, so she had to rely on Setsuna or other shipgirls to store and retrieve it during missions. When not in use, it was kept within their rigging.

Unicorn clutched the gift from her Commander Onii-chan, still murmuring about wanting to test it once they arrived.

"Alright then, let's depart."

Setsuna opened the communication interface.

[Transformers (Age of Space)]

This world contains an advanced mechanical civilization in addition to human society.

It features god-like beings, though they generally only appear in the physical world through projections or avatars.

Comparison of Strengths:

• Technology Level: Like a God.

• Military Strength: Like a God.

• Economic Power: Like a God.

"...Seriously?"

Setsuna let out a sigh.

Another set of triple god-likes.

"I get the tech part, sure, their wormhole mechanics are impressive, but military power? Seriously?"

Formidable folded her arms, looking dissatisfied.

"Autobots or Decepticons, either way, they'd get stomped by us in a real space battle."

"This is probably accounting for Primus, Unicron, and the rest of the Thirteen Primes, right?"

"Looks like it," Setsuna nodded.

The diplomatic interface measured total power across a world. Just like when they visited Heaven's Lost Property—even though Synapse was falling apart, it still scored three god-likes thanks to the Wishing Stone Tablet.

This world had similar circumstances. Remove the cosmic-scale beings, and neither Cybertron nor Earth's forces seemed overwhelmingly powerful.

This was also the first world Setsuna had encountered with multiple civilizations. Previous ones like Demon Slayer and Akame ga Kill had only a single human civilization.

"Alright, let me see who I can contact."

With that, he opened the diplomatic interface.

[Please select a civilization to contact:]

[Cybertron] [Humans]

"...Whoa, it's this smart?"

Setsuna was surprised. Because the Transformers universe had more than one civilization, he could now contact individual factions.

He chose Humans first.

Bzzt—

The screen flickered, and an unfamiliar bespectacled man appeared, seemingly in the middle of a boardroom meeting. The sudden appearance of a holographic screen and Setsuna left him stunned.

"UN Secretary-General? Okay, fair, I guess he counts as the human representative..."

Setsuna had nothing to say to him. He closed the call and instead connected to Cybertron.

Buzz—

Another flicker of static.

The screen shifted.

It showed a mechanical planet, roughly the size of Saturn, made entirely of black metal. Strange equipment orbited the world, and a blinding glow radiated from its center.

Its structure reminded Setsuna of a Stellaris mod featuring planet-class battleships—or maybe an Ork battle moon.

A black robot knelt on a hovering platform before the glowing core, being scolded.

"You let them escape with the key?"

"When you get it back, bring it to Earth. I'm hungry. I need to feed..."

The voice from the planet's core was low, raspy, and impossibly commanding.

"Yes, my master."

The black robot bowed reverently.

"Wait—Unicron and Scourge?!"

Setsuna was a bit surprised. The system had connected him directly to the boss of the Transformers universe.

"?"

Even though the opened holographic interface was unassuming, Unicron still noticed Setsuna.

"Human?"

"No, you're not human. Where are you?"

Beside him, Scourge also became alert. He couldn't understand this cross-world communication.

"So this is Unicron? The name's pretty imposing, but... isn't he kinda ugly?"

Purifier and Observer leaned over to scrutinize the massive sphere in the hologram.

"That's just its projection in the physical realm. Its true form is already close to a conceptual deity."

Setsuna answered calmly.

Unicron's form differed in each Transformers iteration, but it often appeared as a mechanical planet.

In its transformed state, it became a planet-sized Transformer.

"Hoh—"

Observer let out a long note, mumbling to herself,

"They're all bad guys, right? Why not send it to fight X instead? Whoever dies, we win either way..."

"What?"

Setsuna didn't catch that.

"Nothing, I mean, maybe we could model a mech after Unicron. That way, Commander, you could become a super cool planet-class battleship too."

Observer puffed her cheeks.

"Great idea. Approved."

...

There wasn't much point in bickering with Unicron across the void.

In this timeline, it was trapped in the Dead Universe and required the Transwarp Key to reach Earth.

Unlike some ludicrously omniscient gods, Setsuna wasn't too worried.

Before long, he pierced the dimensional barrier.

Whoosh—

After a brief wave of vertigo and weightlessness, Setsuna, Gudako, and the accompanying shipgirls landed in a vibrant, unfamiliar city.

1994, United States, Los Angeles.

"Ohh, so this is Eagleland."

Gudako looked around curiously.

In the 90s, LA still shone with the golden aura of American supremacy.

Even at dusk, the city was brightly lit, cars flowing like rivers, capitalism wafting in the air.

Compared to the Capital, it was certainly more chaotic.

"Let's move."

Not long after landing, Setsuna and the shipgirls already drew quite a few stares.

A man flanked by a dozen stunning women parading through the streets? That turned heads in any country.

Some bystanders even let out whistles.

Thickly made-up streetwalkers, noticing Setsuna's distinguished air and beautiful entourage, assumed he was some rich heir.

Clicking over in high heels, one flipped her blonde hair and loosened her neckline.

With a seductive grin, she pulled at her fishnet stockings.

"Hello? Handsome? Wanna have some fun?"

"First time's free for cuties like you~"

"..."

Setsuna pushed the women aside, chuckling helplessly.

In his past life, he might've been enchanted by such flirty blondes.

But now? His standards had been raised to absurd levels by Spirits, Heroic Spirits, and shipgirls.

"Let's focus. First, let's assess the situation. Richelieu."

In a quieter area, Setsuna opened the comms interface.

High above the atmosphere, Richelieu's fleet had already activated optical camouflage and positioned themselves in Earth's orbit, monitoring activity below.

After scanning several key areas, she reported:

"Commander, we've detected anomalously high energy signatures in three locations: the Los Angeles Museum of Art, the mountains of southern Peru, and within the Hoover Dam."

"Oh? Seems we arrived at the perfect moment. No need for spiritron transfer."

Setsuna mused. This aligned with the beginning of the Transformers 7 plotline.

They could grab the Transwarp Key first, then rough up the Feds and steal the AllSpark.

Turning Earth into a vassal state? That'd be a bonus after completing the main mission.

The primary goal this time was to retrieve key items.

Following the plotline might even let him run into a few old acquaintances.

"Let's go. Time to retrieve the Transwarp Key and give Scourge a beating."

"Do we need to split up?" Richelieu asked.

"Hmm..."

Setsuna considered it.

"No need. I'll handle it personally. I'm sure the Autobots will hand it over willingly."

"Oh, right. Go shoo away the male lead Noah too. Don't let him interfere."

"Wait."

Gudako poked him.

"Commander, don't you usually try to pick up a girl or two every new world? What about the Transformers heroine?"

"Hah?!"

Setsuna smacked her on the head.

"You even know what year this is? It's 1994—Transformers 7 timeline! And the heroine is even uglier than the new Snow White!"

"Whoever wants her can have her. I'd rather go chase a female Transformer."
