The Eagle Union.
Colorado.
Amidst steep mountains stood a semicircular dam, roughly 200 meters high.
Its riverbed was narrow, flanked by steep cliffs, forming a sizable reservoir in the valleys.
To any ordinary observer, it would appear to be nothing more than a standard hydraulic engineering project.
Except the defenses around the dam were highly abnormal.
Plainclothes Eagle Union police mingled with heavily armed National Guardsmen, who patrolled the area with seeming nonchalance but obvious alertness.
Several armored vehicles were parked on the nearby open ground.
The level of security far exceeded what any normal dam would require.
Roughly one kilometer from Hoover Dam sat a sizable military base.
It housed tanks, self-propelled artillery, and other heavy firepower. In the hangars were the latest models of fighters and reconnaissance aircraft.
The Eagle soldiers trained within.
This was the Seventh Sector—a highly classified organization established when the Eagle Union built the Hoover Dam.
Its sole purpose: researching the AllSpark and Megatron.
Even among the upper echelons of the Eagle Union, only a select few knew of its existence.
Deep inside Hoover Dam, in the underground research facility—
Advanced experimental equipment filled the area, and busy scientists scurried about.
At the center of the great hall stood a massive metal cube several stories tall, anchored firmly to the floor.
Its surface was etched with incomprehensible patterns, emitting a faint golden glow.
"Magnificent..."
The head of the Seventh Sector stared up at the cube.
Through reverse-engineering this artifact, the Eagle Union had achieved leaps in technological advancement.
Microchips, lasers, spacecraft... nearly all modern human technology had been influenced by studying the AllSpark.
These breakthroughs cemented the Eagle Union's unchallenged technological supremacy on Earth—even the former red empire of the East was no match.
And this was merely the tip of the iceberg.
Humanity's current tools were still inadequate to fully unlock the cube's secrets. Scientists estimated that the AllSpark contained knowledge capable of overturning modern physics and astronomy—
Heralding a revolution in the fundamental sciences.
When that day came, the Eagle Union would be the undisputed global hegemon.
So thought the director as he walked into the underground command center, per routine.
In the vast facility stood a towering steel robot, over twenty meters tall.
It was encased in a network of cooling systems spraying liquid nitrogen, freezing it in place.
Thick layers of frost covered its body.
The console nearby identified it clearly:
[NBE-1 (Non-Biological Extraterrestrial Entity #1)]
Megatron.
Discovered by an expedition in the Arctic, it was swiftly transported to the Seventh Sector for joint study with the AllSpark.
"Hmm... not bad."
The director gazed at the giant robot.
Extraterrestrial life would always fascinate mankind.
Humans still didn't understand the nature of Cybertronian life—whether they had their own civilizations or social structures.
All they could do was study the construct's makeup and technology.
"Where did you come from..."
As he pondered, suddenly—
BOOM—!
The entire underground research facility shook violently.
"Earthquake?!"
Before he could react—
BANG—BANG—BANG!!!
Heavy thuds echoed from above.
Then came a burst of ratatat gunfire.
"Code Red! Code Red!!!"
The alarm blared throughout the research base.
"Seventh Sector breached! Repeat, Seventh Sector breached!!"
"Aliens!! We are under extraterrestrial invasion!!!"
...
Outside Hoover Dam, atop a nearby mountain.
The Eternal Snowfall descended slowly from the skies.
On the bridge, the Autobots and Maximals crowded around, staring down at the massive dam below.
The AllSpark was too important—even though Optimus Prime had agreed to cooperate with Setsuna, he insisted on seeing it for himself.
Not to mention his nemesis was also there.
"I can't sense the AllSpark's signal."
Optimus Prime concentrated for a moment, then shook his head.
"They installed shielding equipment inside the dam to block the AllSpark's energy emissions. Though, it's useless against us."
Setsuna brought up the Eternal Snowfall's scanner.
Zzzzt—
Moments later, a full holographic map of the dam and its underground research lab projected in front of them.
Given the White Eagle's 90s-era shielding tech, while they could suppress the AllSpark's energy signature, it was virtually transparent to modern space-age scanning systems.
"Mhm, the AllSpark is located three levels underground. Watch your firepower—don't damage it..."
As he was mapping out a route, Optimus suddenly spoke up:
"Can we contact the local human authorities?"
"If I reveal my identity and explain the AllSpark's origins, will they return it to us?"
"???"
Setsuna was full of question marks.
As expected of the Autobots—their pacifist ideology was deeply ingrained.
In a game like Stellaris, they'd be the peaceful xenophile neighbor offering resources first thing.
Still...
Given the White Eagle's traditions, most likely they'd throw the Autobots and Maximals in cryo alongside Megatron for study.
"I don't trust these unfamiliar humans. They're not like the people in the tribes."
Optimus Primal added.
Optimus Prime was about to argue when the orbital fleet sent an emergency transmission:
"Commander! Anomalies detected in the airspace above you! Multiple units are teleporting in!"
Fwoosh—!
In the sky—
Dozens of massive fireballs broke through the atmosphere, trailing long flames as they plummeted to the earth.
From the starship, they could see them striking various locations.
Some hit cities, others slammed into the military base and the dam itself.
A massive purple steel robot climbed out of one crater. Leading the charge, its fusion cannon blazed rapidly, blowing holes into the dam's surface.
The resulting shockwaves left the area in ruins.
Personnel inside scrambled out, hands over their heads.
"Decepticons!!!"
Seeing those familiar figures, Optimus clenched his metal fists.
"How did they find this place?!"
"Uh... probably the Transwarp Key?"
Setsuna was a bit surprised too, but quickly understood the cause.
The pulsed signal it emitted was like a beacon in the dark to Cybertronians.
In 1994, the Decepticons were already planning an invasion. They might've arrived via space bridge or some other method.
Previously, a few had been lurking on Earth. With reinforcements now arriving, they clashed directly with the local Eagle troops.
After the Decepticons—
The atmosphere twisted violently again.
BOOM—BOOM—BOOM—!
More fireballs fell like a meteor shower, smashing craters into the ground.
But this time, from the pits crawled sleek, black, quadrupedal Terrorcons.
They swarmed in great numbers, tearing through everything indiscriminately.
Leading them was none other than Scourge—his head had been smashed by Gudako not long ago.
Now reborn, he was larger and more intimidating, surrounded by bizarre metallic constructs.
With thunderous steps, he charged straight toward Setsuna.
"Hand over the Transwarp Key!!!"
"??!"
"You're joining the chaos too?!"
Setsuna blinked in surprise. So the guy hadn't died—the Chaos Bringer had revived him again.
Still, even if he was brought back a few more times, the result would be the same. There was no way Unicron could keep reviving and teleporting him to Earth indefinitely.
[ALERT! ALERT! Extraterrestrial invasion detected!]
[Confirmed alien lifeforms! Suspected to be of the same species as NBE-1! Requesting immediate reinforcements!!]
Shrill alarms echoed through the area.
White Eagle military bases and nearby units mobilized quickly. Fighter jets roared overhead, while armored units assembled at once.
"Autobots, prepare for battle! We must secure the AllSpark before the Decepticons!!"
Optimus Prime took a combat stance and jumped from the starship with Mirage and Bumblebee.
"Maximals, prepare for battle! Protect the AllSpark!"
Optimus Primal followed closely with Rhinox and Airazor, all leaping down together.
They quickly clashed with the Terrorcons and Decepticons on the ground.
"..."
"Commander, I'm going too!!"
Gudako climbed into Barbatos, gripping her lance-hammer tightly, activating thrusters and charging straight for Scourge.
"Come on! Who's afraid of who?!"
In an instant, the battlefield across Sector Seven devolved into a massive melee.
Autobots, Decepticons, Maximals, Gundams, Terrorcons—all kinds of mechanized units were locked in combat.
Mixed in were the White Eagle's armored divisions.
Autobots and Decepticons locked into classic rival duels, while wave after wave of Terrorcons charged toward the Eternal Snowfall, only to be blasted to shrapnel by its close-range defense system.
"Commander, should we deploy?"
The shipgirls turned to Setsuna, looking at the chaotic scene below.
"..."
Setsuna gazed at the fierce clashes—an all-out brawl among Earth's most iconic mechanical factions. It was well worth the trip.
After all, it's not every day you get to witness Transformers, Gundams, and Maximals duking it out in the same theater.
He glanced at the holographic map and cleared his throat.
"Retrieve the AllSpark. Have the orbital forces deploy Angeloids and prepare to clean up."
Meanwhile—
Thousands of kilometers away, in Washington, D.C.
Inside the White House, reports from the front lines left the President and military advisors completely dumbfounded.
"What? Hoover Dam's been invaded by aliens? They're the same species as NBE-1? Quick, deploy reinforcements..."
"Another wave of aliens?! Aliens fighting other aliens?!"
"And now aliens in starships?! Mechanical gorilla-looking aliens?!"
"Winged angels?! Beautiful girls that transform into warships?!"
"Wtf? Just how many aliens are invading us right now?!"
