While the Autobots, Decepticons, Terrorcons, Maximals, and other factions were in the middle of their chaotic battle, the communications network of Sector Seven was soon completely cut off.
During the clearing operation by the Angeloids, a powerful electromagnetic disturbance was released across North America, and with the location being in a desert area with poor transportation, there were hardly any cities besides the military bases and research centers.
As a result, the Eagle Union government, aside from receiving a few scattered reports during the first half of the battle, was completely in the dark about what happened afterward.
When they finally came to their senses and dispatched several armored divisions along with air support, they were infuriated beyond belief.
The Hoover Dam—it might be more accurate to call it Hoover Plains now.
The entire dam, along with the surrounding mountains, had been leveled. The underground research center was ransacked.
The cube and NBE-1 had disappeared, a large amount of research data vanished, and equipment worth billions had been destroyed.
The nearby military bases had been flattened the moment the Terrorcons and Decepticons landed.
The stationed forces were wiped out in full force, and the remaining survivors were mentally traumatized, some even suffering PTSD whenever they saw robot dolls, fleeing for their lives.
Through their fragmented descriptions, along with the accounts of surviving researchers, the Eagle Union government finally pieced together what had happened.
A wave of aliens that looked like NBE-1, that is, like Megatron, had rushed in to rescue their leader.
Then, inexplicably, two more groups of aliens showed up, also aiming for the cube and NBE-1.
After a chaotic battle, a super alien in a starship showed up to clean up the mess.
They released thousands of angels, who quickly took down everyone, stole the cube, and left.
"..."
"Fuck..."
After learning part of the truth,
the senior officials of the Eagle Union Union, including the President, fell into deep thought.
"Why?"
"Aliens really invaded?!"
"They could've just taken the cube, but they destroyed the research base and Hoover Dam too."
"No honor in this battle."
At this point, the Eagle Union Union was at its peak.
The USSR had just fallen, and no nation in the world dared challenge their authority.
The aliens were practically slapping them in the face.
The military mobilized frantically to find any trace of the aliens.
At the United Nations General Assembly, a series of resolutions were passed to counter the extraterrestrial threat.
They claimed to have been invaded by aliens, suffered severe losses, and requested other nations to join them in fighting the aliens, demanding that alien technology be shared for joint research.
Other countries were left bewildered, not understanding what had gotten into the Eagle Union Union.
...
As the Eagle Union Union rampantly searched for alien traces around the world,
the Eternal Snowfall, carrying a shipload of spoils, activated its optical camouflage and headed back toward the Peruvian forest.
This was the home of Optimus Primal and the other Maximals.
Optimus Primal, driven by a strong sense of justice and responsibility, had come to help Setsuna protect the AllSpark. However, in the end, these superpowered warriors didn't contribute much.
They were barely able to handle a few Terrorcons and were almost pierced by Scourge like Optimus Primal had been. In the end, the shipgirls and Angeloids had to rescue them.
Nonetheless, Setsuna appreciated their effort and decided to send them home in one piece.
Unlike the Autobots, who blended in with the cities, the Maximals had been on Earth for a long time. They had formed deep friendships with the local tribes.
Having lost their home planet, they had already come to see Earth as their second home.
"Yaha, we really scored big this time."
In the ship's cabin, everyone sat together, tallying up the spoils of this trip.
Gudako tossed several large bags onto the floor.
Clink clang clatter
A pile of metal chunks fell out.
All of them were Decepticons that had been reduced to parts, and after the battle, the Angeloids made sure not to let the Eagle Union government get any advantage, so they gathered up all the scraps.
However, the Decepticons were so thoroughly beaten by the Turn-A, Barbatos, and the Angeloids that they were completely unrecognizable, mixed together without any distinction.
The two Sirens, like children playing with robots, began piecing the parts together on the ground.
"Hmm, this is Soundwave's head... Where's the body? Is this it?"
"No, no, this seems like Shockwave's body... or is it Starscream's?"
"Commander, come help me! Which leg is this from?" Observer shook a yellow-green part in her hand and asked Setsuna for advice.
"That's the Mixer. When you put them together, they form Devastator, and you got the head wrong, that's the Combiner's head."
Setsuna glanced up and answered.
"Oh—" Observer hurriedly tossed the wrong head aside with her tentacle ship equipment and replaced it with the right one.
As alien life researchers, they wanted to study complete sets, not just a pile of parts.
Assembling Transformers was supposed to be a fun activity.
But assembling several 10-20 meter tall real Transformers was another matter. To the Autobots, watching the Sirens do this was pretty terrifying.
"..."
"I think they're a little scary."
Bumblebee stared at Gudako and Observer, tilting his head and saying.
Looking at the Decepticons scattered around the ground, he couldn't shake the feeling of phantom pain.
At least he wasn't the one lying there, or he would have been used as a toy for them to play with.
"What are you going to do with them?"
Optimus Prime asked.
Megatron and the other Decepticons, after all, were Cybertronians, some of whom were once his comrades.
Even though the two factions had become bitter enemies, seeing them in this state still made him feel a little nostalgic.
"I need to understand the Cybertronian structure first and see how these mechanical beings operate."
Observer sat on the ground, tinkering with parts as she answered.
"If possible, maybe we could manufacture Transformers in the future? Hmm, but we can't let them go wild, it would be best to use them as autonomous weapons, like enforcers."
She paused to think for a moment.
"Actually, it might be possible to revive them, right? I saw that Megatron's parts are almost complete. We just need to put him on an energy bed, and wait a bit for the revival."
In most stories, bringing humans or other carbon-based lifeforms back to life requires a heavy cost, but for Transformers, dying and coming back was common.
In the original storyline, when Bumblebee was killed by Scourge, Optimus Primal placed him on an energy bed, and after absorbing enough energy, he got back on his feet, fully revived.
Thus, Gudako and Observer thought they might be able to replicate the process.
"You just defeated Megatron and now you want to revive him?!"
The Autobots were stunned.
"I was just saying, if we revive him, he would be our pet dog. We can't fight him again, right?"
"Uh, I wonder if there's a way to modify his metal head? Afterward, you guys can be good friends with Megatron and help us expand our territory in this universe."
"The Autobots can farm, and the Decepticons can handle the fighting. It's a win-win, we wouldn't even need a police force."
Observer casually spouted some extremely dangerous thoughts.
"Modify his thoughts??!"
"Be good friends with Megatron?!"
Bumblebee and Mirage slapped their heads, expressions full of agony.
Optimus Prime was even more stunned, frozen in place as if seeing a ghost.
Every word from the Sirens was beyond his comprehension.
Could the Decepticons and Autobots ever coexist in harmony?
The Autobots found it utterly impossible. Their ideologies and positions were completely different. Unless Megatron's mind was completely broken, they were sure to fight on sight.
—And now, it seemed like Megatron's mind might actually be getting broken.
Just the thought of Megatron calling him brother gave Optimus Prime a headache—no, an engine ache.
After thinking for a while, he realized he couldn't keep up with the Sirens' pace.
He walked over to Setsuna.
"What are your plans from here on out?"
Optimus Prime asked, sitting down.
"Hmm…"
Setsuna thought for a moment. With the Transwarp Key and AllSpark in hand, his main objectives here had been completed.
As for the powerless Eagle Union...
They could send people with fleets to take the area and make it a vassal state without worrying about it.
Once the cleanup was done, they could head back home and focus on building their starships.
"How about we research the background of this world? Or unify Cybertron?"
