Chapter 62: A night to remember

Ethan pulled up to Aunt Linda's residence, his heart racing with anticipation. He hadn't seen Olivia in a few days, and every second apart felt like an eternity. As his car came to a stop, the front door swung open, and before he could even step out, Olivia ran toward him with a radiant smile. Without missing a beat, she leaped into his arms, wrapping herself tightly around him.

Ethan laughed as he caught her, his arms instinctively holding her close. "Whoa there, baby. I missed you too," he said, grinning as he leaned in to press his lips against hers. Their kiss was tender at first, but soon turned more passionate, filled with all the longing that had built up between them.

As they pulled apart, Ethan knelt down, placing a gentle kiss on her baby bump. "And I missed you, little one," he murmured, his hands resting protectively over her growing belly. Olivia smiled down at him, her heart swelling with love.

Hand in hand, they made their way inside the villa, the warmth of their connection surrounding them like a comforting blanket. Inside, Aunt Linda had already set up the study for Henry's meeting with the lawyer, Jacob. Ethan quickly introduced Jacob to Henry, and the two disappeared into the study to begin the important conversation about the will.

Ethan and Olivia retreated to their room, eager to catch up after days apart. The moment they closed the door behind them, Olivia turned to him, her eyes sparkling with desire. She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him all over—his cheeks, his forehead, his lips. She whispered softly, "I need you, Ethan."

Her words surprised him, his eyes widening slightly. "Liv, are you sure? I mean… I don't want to hurt the baby," he said, his voice full of concern.

Olivia smiled, reassuring him as she gently caressed his cheek. "The doctor said it's safe, as long as we're careful with the position," she whispered, her voice filled with confidence and affection.

Ethan chuckled, relief and excitement washing over him. He scooped her up effortlessly into his arms and carried her over to the bed, laying her down gently. "Well, if the doctor says it's okay…" he trailed off, his smile turning mischievous.

They shared their most intimate and passionate moment, a beautiful reunion of bodies and souls, and afterward, they jumped into the warm shower together, letting the water wash over them. As they stood beneath the gentle spray, Ethan held her close, his fingers running through her wet hair.

Just as they finished cleaning up, there was a knock on the door. Ethan quickly wrapped a towel around his waist before opening it. Aunt Linda stood there, her eyes twinkling with amusement as she giggled. "Sorry to interrupt, but Henry's leaving. It's getting dark, and I think he's ready to head back."

Ethan smiled and nodded. "Thanks, Aunt Linda. We'll be right there."

After quickly drying off and dressing, Ethan and Olivia headed downstairs to say goodbye to Pops. Henry was in high spirits, clearly uplifted after the meeting with Jacob and the truth about Olivia. He hugged them both tightly, kissing Olivia on the cheek. "Take care of yourselves, my darlings. Especially you, Olivia," he said warmly, his eyes lingering on her baby bump. "I'm going to be a great-grandfather soon, after all."

"We will, Pops," Ethan assured him, shaking his hand before giving him one last hug.

Once Henry left, the skies began to darken, and soon the soft patter of raindrops began to fall. The rain quickly intensified into a full-blown storm, the sound of the heavy downpour echoing through the house. Ethan glanced outside and made a decision. "It's pouring out there. I think we should stay the night," he said, turning to Olivia.

Olivia smiled, clearly pleased with the idea. "Sounds perfect," she replied, her fingers lacing through his. "It'll be nice to just relax here tonight."

With the storm raging outside, Ethan, Olivia, and Linda settled in for a quiet, cozy evening together. As the night wore on, Olivia felt at peace—surrounded by love, warmth, and the growing excitement of the life she and Ethan were building together. And as they curled up in bed that night, with the rain drumming against the windows, Ethan held her close, knowing that whatever challenges awaited them, they would face them together.
