Over the past six months, through continuous practice, Feng Xiaotian had mastered a new ability that allowed him to sense everything around him by following the wind.

The wind had become like a third eye for him, enabling him to perceive things at a greater distance.

Initially, he could sense objects at 10 meters, then 50 meters, then 100 meters, and now, he could detect everything within a 200-meter range.

As the grandfather and grandson searched the forest, they encountered many spirit beasts with cultivation spanning several thousand years, but none were suitable ten-thousand-year spirit beasts.

By this time, night had fallen.

Feng Lieyang suggested, "It's dark now, and there's no need to rush. We can continue our search tomorrow during the day."

"Alright," Feng Xiaotian agreed.

Feng Lieyang found an open space, set up a tent, and lit a campfire.

"To avoid being attacked by spirit beasts, I'll keep watch while you sleep," Feng Lieyang said.

"Grandfather, I'm not tired. You should rest first. I'll stand guard, and you can take over in the latter half of the night."

"Very well, but be careful. If anything happens, wake me immediately."

"I will," Feng Xiaotian replied.

He knew his grandfather cared deeply for him. If he let his grandfather sleep first, there was no way his grandfather would wake him in the middle of the night. He would likely sleep until dawn.

As the night grew darker, the forest became eerily quiet.

Feng Lieyang rested in the tent while Feng Xiaotian sat cross-legged by the campfire, simultaneously cultivating his techniques and sensing the surrounding energy.

Occasionally, spirit beasts, ranging from a hundred to a thousand years old, passed by, but they didn't disturb them.

Unknowingly, two hours passed.

Suddenly, Feng Xiaotian sensed a strange aura, and a thrill of excitement ran through him.

"It's a ten-thousand-year spirit beast, and not just an ordinary one—it seems to have cultivated for tens of thousands of years!"

"However, the aura is strange. It's different from the usual spirit beasts. What's going on?"

The spirit beast drew closer, and Feng Xiaotian could feel an ominous sense of danger.

It seemed to have sensed the presence of people here and was heading directly toward them.

In the spirit beast forest, spirit masters target spirit beasts, but powerful spirit beasts also hunt spirit masters.

Feng Xiaotian stood up, intending to fly up and see what kind of creature it was.

But suddenly, he noticed that the air around him had turned red.

His body became unresponsive, his reactions slowed, and his consciousness started to blur.

"What's happening?"

"I've mastered the seventh stage of the Nine Yang Divine Skill, making me immune to poison. I shouldn't be able to be poisoned."

"Damn, it's taken the initiative."

"Grandfather!" Feng Xiaotian shouted loudly.

Feng Lieyang, who had been asleep, was jolted awake.

He rushed out of the tent and was shocked by the scene before him.

"It's a ten-thousand-year Charm Spirit Beast! Fortunately, you sensed it in time."

As Feng Lieyang spoke, he activated his sixth spirit ability, Wind Purification.

This spirit ability was particularly effective against toxins and charm-based skills.

In an instant, the red mist dissipated, and the surroundings returned to clarity.

Feng Xiaotian fully regained his senses.

"Xiaotian, the Star Dou Forest is home to all kinds of powerful spirit beasts, each with its own unique attacks. You lack experience, so you must be extra cautious."

"Yes, I understand," Feng Xiaotian replied, his tone serious.

Feng Xiaotian, still shaken by the close call, realized how dangerous the situation had been. If not for his grandfather's presence, he might have already fallen prey to the spirit beast.

It was a harsh reminder that his strength was still insufficient. He had only just reached level 50. If he were as powerful as his grandfather, he wouldn't have to worry even if he were to venture into the Spirit Beast Forest alone.

He could still sense the presence of the spirit beast nearby. However, it seemed to have detected the danger and was now attempting to flee.

"Grandfather, it's still around. Let's catch up to it—I want to see what it really is!" Feng Xiaotian said as he spread his wings and sped off in the direction of the beast's aura.

"Xiaotian, slow down!" Feng Lieyang called out as he followed closely behind.

The red mist from earlier led Feng Lieyang to suspect that this was no ordinary spirit beast. It must have at least thirty thousand years of cultivation. His grandson was in pursuit, fueled by anger, leaving Feng Lieyang no choice but to chase after him.

The spirit beast was incredibly fast, but it couldn't escape Feng Xiaotian's relentless tracking. Feng Lieyang found this odd—how was Xiaotian able to sense its aura so accurately without losing track?

As the beast ran, it suddenly took to the air. Though it didn't fly very high, its speed was astonishing. Feng Xiaotian pushed himself to keep up, finally getting a clear view of the creature. It was a flying fox, its body resembling that of a fox, covered in fiery red fur, with a pair of wings on its back.

"Grandfather, it's a flaming red flying fox!" Feng Xiaotian shouted.

"Yes, I see it. Judging by its appearance, it must have cultivated for at least thirty thousand years," Feng Lieyang replied.

"Let's see where you'll run to now!" Feng Xiaotian dived at the flying fox like a hawk.

The fox bared its fangs, its face twisted in a menacing snarl. Before he got close, Feng Xiaotian unleashed his first spirit ability, Wind Blade Array. However, the attack didn't seem to faze the fox much. After all, it was a thirty-thousand-year-old demonic fox, capable of withstanding such assaults.

To prevent the flying fox from escaping, Feng Xiaotian activated Wind Blade Prison, trapping it within a vortex of sharp wind blades.

"Xiaotian, you can't hold it for long. Be careful it doesn't self-destruct," Feng Lieyang warned.

"Got it!" Feng Xiaotian released the fox from the wind prison but immediately set up a Wind Wall. He then launched his fourth spirit ability, Thousand Blades Convergence. Countless sharp wind blades flew toward the fox, followed by a series of thunderous explosions.

The flying fox was incredibly fast, evading most of the wind blades. With Feng Lieyang present, its charm abilities were rendered useless.

The fox lashed out with its claws and bared its fangs in a fierce struggle against Feng Xiaotian, but it soon found itself outmatched. It tried to escape, but Feng Xiaotian was determined not to let it go.

"Grandfather, help me block its escape. Don't let it get away," Feng Xiaotian called out as he soared into the sky, gathering his strength.

He then unleashed his self-created spirit ability, Stromwind Demon Wolf: Fifty-Four Consecutive Slashes. The sheer force of the attack overwhelmed the flying fox, pinning it down. Knowing it couldn't escape, the fox attempted to self-destruct, but it was too late.

Before Feng Xiaotian could finish his Fifty-Four Consecutive Slashes, the fox collapsed. Moments later, a black spirit ring, signifying ten thousand years of cultivation, floated above the fallen beast.

Watching the scene unfold, Feng Lieyang felt a deep sense of pride.

"Xiaotian, you've made incredible progress over the past six months. You just took down a thirty-thousand-year-old demonic fox," Feng Lieyang praised.

"Grandfather, if it weren't for you, it would've escaped long ago. I wouldn't have been able to defeat it on my own, especially not its charm mist. I need to get stronger," Feng Xiaotian replied earnestly.

"You've done exceptionally well for someone who's just reached level 50. Now, hurry up and absorb the spirit ring."

"Alright," Feng Xiaotian nodded.

Having already absorbed a ten-thousand-year spirit ring before, Feng Lieyang felt confident in his grandson's ability. He was eager to see what kind of spirit ability Feng Xiaotian would gain after absorbing the flying fox's thirty-thousand-year spirit ring.
