Chapter 14: Hospital Visits

Zhou Ming arrived at the hospital, his heart heavy with worry. His father, Zhou Guoping, was lying in the hospital bed, looking frail and tired. The sight of his once strong father in such a condition was a stark reminder of the pressures and strains that came with success and responsibility.

As Zhou Ming walked into the ward, his mother, Wang Fengqin, looked up with tear-filled eyes. She had been keeping a constant vigil by Zhou Guoping's bedside, trying to hold herself together despite the anxiety gnawing at her.

"How is he?" Zhou Ming asked, trying to mask his concern with a calm demeanor.

Wang Fengqin shook her head, "The doctors say it's a severe condition. We need to wait and see how he responds to the treatment."

Zhou Ming took a deep breath and approached his father's bed. Zhou Guoping's eyes, though weak, brightened slightly at the sight of his son.

"Father, how are you feeling?" Zhou Ming asked gently, taking his father's hand.

Zhou Guoping managed a weak smile, "I'm getting by. Don't worry too much. You've got a lot on your plate."

Zhou Ming shook his head, "It's not about me. It's about you getting better. We need you strong."

The doctors entered to check on Zhou Guoping, and Zhou Ming stepped aside to give them space. After a thorough examination, the lead doctor approached Zhou Ming and Wang Fengqin to discuss the situation.

"The situation is serious but not hopeless," the doctor said. "Your father is suffering from a combination of high blood pressure and severe fatigue. We need to keep him under observation and start a rigorous treatment plan. Stress management and a healthier lifestyle are crucial for his recovery."

Zhou Ming listened intently, absorbing every detail. He knew that managing stress was not just about physical health but also about creating a supportive environment. He vowed to ensure that his father could recover peacefully.

In the days that followed, Zhou Ming took on additional responsibilities at the factory and handled various business matters, including dealing with Dai Zhenjiang and Dog Ye.

Zhou Ming's concern for his father's health and the additional workload took a toll on him, but he remained determined to manage both his father's condition and his responsibilities effectively. He understood the importance of maintaining stability and ensuring that the factory operations ran smoothly, even in his absence.

During this period, Su Han was a constant source of support. She helped Zhou Ming manage his time and encouraged him to take breaks, even though Zhou Ming often found it difficult to step away from his work. Her presence and reassurance were invaluable, providing him with the strength to continue.

As Zhou Ming spent more time at the hospital, he encountered many visitors, including old friends and colleagues who came to express their support. These visits, though well-intentioned, sometimes added to his stress, as he had to balance the influx of visitors with his father's need for rest.

Despite the challenges, Zhou Ming found solace in the progress his father was making. Slowly but steadily, Zhou Guoping's condition improved. The doctors remained optimistic, and Zhou Ming began to feel a sense of relief as he saw his father's strength returning.

One evening, as Zhou Ming sat by his father's bedside, Zhou Guoping looked at him with a sense of pride. "You've done well, my son," he said, his voice still weak but filled with warmth. "I'm proud of how you've managed everything."

Zhou Ming clasped his father's hand tightly. "It's because of you that I've been able to do this. I just want to see you healthy and happy."

The recovery was gradual, and it took time before Zhou Guoping was able to return home. During this period, Zhou Ming continued to balance his responsibilities and support his family. His efforts to stabilize the factory and manage his business dealings proved successful, and he felt a sense of accomplishment in overcoming these challenges.

When Zhou Guoping finally returned home, the family gathered to celebrate this small victory. Zhou Ming felt a renewed sense of determination to continue working hard and providing for his family. The ordeal had strengthened his resolve and deepened his appreciation for the support of his loved ones.

With his father back at home and recovering well, Zhou Ming looked forward to moving ahead with his plans and ambitions, confident that with perseverance and the support of those around him, he could face any challenge that came his way.
