Chapter 9: The scripted arrangement

Despite the noise in front of the Capitol Building, Zhou Ming and Huang Yi still clearly heard that voice, because they were the only Chinese people here, so the reference in the words was more than obvious.

Zhou Ming turned his head and saw a very rich American-style fat man. He and a tall white man with his black bodyguard walked out of the crowd. When he saw Zhou Ming, he deliberately spat on the ground, said arrogantly, 'Lowly yellow-skinned man, what are you looking at? Don't you know that your eyes are poisonous, and looking at me makes me feel uncomfortable? This parliament building is a place of supreme glory. You hurry up and scram back to dirty Chinatown, don't come and pollute our sacred land!'

'This person is Bert Botter, the chairman of Veda Logistics. I recognised him because I represented him in a case before. I think he is also running for election.' Alan whispered to Zhou Ming.

At this moment, Bert Botter also saw Alan. He pointed at Alan angrily and said, 'Alan, don't tell me you are here to accompany this yellow-skinned person to run for election. If you are, you have let me down. You are simply not worthy of being an American!'

'Mr. Botterb, shut up! Running for office is the legitimate right of every American citizen, and it is written in the federal constitution. Then there is no problem with whoever running for office. If you don't know, then I invite you to go back and read the federal constitution before running for office.' Allen retorted with righteous indignation. 'In addition, I can also be anyone's lawyer, unless you are the federal supreme . justice, depriving them of all political power.'

In addition to Allen, the classmates from the finance class who had come with Zhou Ming also angrily cursed: 'What are you? Why are you talking nonsense here? After all, you are just a loach in the sewers! Why do you want to run for office? I feel sad for this campaign, because bugs like you are only worthy of staying in the sewers where you can't see the sun all year round. Your campaign can only make people feel sick!'

Facing the angry curses of his classmates in the finance class, Bertel Bortleboer trembled with anger. He finally roared, 'You damned yellow-skinned people, you dare to publicly abuse me? I will teach you a lesson! Belltant, you give them a good beating!'

'My pleasure, my good sir. I love dealing with these yellow-skinned monkeys.'

The black man next to Bertolt said this and then rubbed his hands together, forcing himself towards the finance students. However, he hadn't taken two steps before he was stopped by the tall white man on the other side.

'Mr Bertolt, please don't get excited. Violence is not the best way to solve problems,' the white man said, trying to persuade Bertolt.

'So what should I do? I really can't swallow this, I just can't wait to kill these damn yellow-skinned people right now!' Bertolt said, grinding his teeth.

'Of course there are more civilized ways.'

The white man then left these words for Bert and stood up to say to everyone, 'This is the quality of the Chinese race. They actually cursed out those filthy words. It's hard to imagine that they are from Brighton. I can't believe they are running for election. What's more, I dare not think about what will happen to our Fenway District and even the entire city of Brighton if they win the election. Can you imagine?'

The white man's words were like a branding iron thrown into the water, causing the scene to boil over immediately, as everyone scrambled to accuse Zhou Ming and the others.

'Oh those ugly Chinese people? They are the cancer of society. They represent poverty and filth. If the Weida community is handed over to them, I'm sure they will turn it into a rubbish dump. My god, in my impression, shouldn't all candidates be polite gentlemen? How can they swear like that in front of the council building? This is so uncouth!'

'And his supporters, my goodness, if I didn't know they were supporters of the candidate, I would have thought they were gangsters. That was a horrible scene!'

As he listened to the accusations, the white man's mouth curled up slightly, and he asked his final question: 'So would you be willing to elect such a candidate?'

'Of course not!' everyone said in unison, and one person added at the end, 'I would even vote against if I could!'

This objection caused everyone to laugh heartily, and the white man also laughed: 'Perhaps in the future the constitution will be amended to allow for voting against, but for now we still only have the power to choose and be chosen, although of course some low-quality people are out of the question.'

The white man's words caused a cheer to erupt from the crowd below. At this point, Huang Yi could no longer hold back, and he shouted at the white man, 'But you were the first to curse! We just came here to register to run for office, and you suddenly came over and insulted us first. We were just forced to return the insult!'

In response to Huang Yi's words, the white man just gave a dismissive laugh and said, 'Really? If you insist on making such an excuse, I guess there's nothing I can do. After all, your mouth is attached to your body, and I can't possibly order your mouth to tell the truth. But I seem to have forgotten that you Chinese just don't have the gene for telling the truth. Compared to honesty, you'd rather deceive and lie.'

The white man's words provoked a round of laughter from the crowd below. Huang Yi wanted to say something else, but Zhou Ming stopped him and shook his head, saying, 'Huang Yi, it's useless. Didn't you say that Americans are born to discriminate against Chinese? And this is in front of the Parliament building, and it's full of supporters of other candidates. They are biased against other competitors themselves. Do you think your explanation will still be useful?'

Seeing that Huang Yi was silent, the white man said, 'It seems that our Chinese friends are deeply ashamed of their actions. Then I think we should also show our magnanimity and not hold it against them.'

After saying this, he and Bertel walked towards the parliament building. However, as Bertel walked past Zhou Ming, he said arrogantly, 'You'd better go back to your mother's womb as soon as possible. Running in elections is a noble thing, but it's not for trash like you, got it?'

While saying this, Botter also laughed loudly, and his black bodyguard also followed him and gestured at Zhou Ming and the others, showing off his muscles.

Seeing the attitude of Botter and his black bodyguard, ** clenched his fists: 'Mr. Zhou Ming, can I go teach them a lesson?'

'Never!' Alan said, 'We are here to run for election, not to create conflict. Moreover, provocations like this are often seen during election campaigns. We must be patient! Violence is definitely not the solution.'

**ignored him, however, and just waited for Zhou Ming's decision. Zhou Ming looked around and finally sighed, saying, '**Forget it. Lawyer Allen is right. We didn't come here to fight. And now that we're at the entrance to the Parliament Building, who knows if someone might want us to fight? We can't just go along with the script that someone else has written for us.'

Zhou Ming finished and patted ** on the shoulder: 'Don't feel aggrieved. People like Bertram, I'll find a way to deal with him, but for now we still need to get Huang Yi inside the Parliament Building to register. It's more important.'

** then let go of his fist and followed Zhou Ming, Allen and Huang Yi into the Parliament Building.

Watching this scene, in the hotel across from the Parliament Building, a glass was slammed down on the floor, accompanied by a furious yell: 'Damn Chinese! Why didn't they do it? Was it because that guy, Boateng, wasn't taunting them hard enough? He kept telling me how good he was at cursing, and I really thought he could get the Chinese guy to do it, but in the end nothing happened, did it?'

At this point, another person said, 'Brother Brook, I don't think we can say that. I know that Bert is foul-mouthed, and I have reason to believe that he did his best, but the only reason for the current situation is that Ming is very patient, or he guessed that we might be behind it.'

These two people were none other than Anthony, the Speaker of the Massachusetts House of Representatives, and Brook, the senator who had been targeting Ming.

Old Brooker calmed down when he heard Anthony say this: 'Indeed, Anthony, you are right. The Chinese man Zhou Ming is indeed very cunning. It is not easy to plot against him behind his back. Moreover, this time, Boateng's appearance is too suspicious. There is no reason for him not to be on his guard.'

'What's more important is that they are now at the entrance of the State House, and there are so many people here. If he uses his brain a little, he will understand that no matter what happens here, it will definitely not be a good choice,' Anthony added.

'That's a pity. If Bertolt had been a bit more insulting and driven the Chinese guy mad, we might have succeeded,' said Old Brook.

'Yes, that was the whole point of getting Bertolt to do this today in the first place,'

Anthony said, stood up and walked over to the bed. He looked across at the Parliament building and said, 'But my dear Brook, I don't think you need to be disheartened, because I believe Zhou Ming is definitely not someone who will be willing to take this loss lying down. He will definitely want to find a way to retaliate. We just need to wait quietly. We need to have confidence in Bert and even more so in Zhou Ming, the Chinese guy.'

'This is truly exciting and good news!' said an evil-laughing Old Brook as he stood up. 'Zhou Ming, hurry up and get rid of that bitch of a mouth of Bottleb's, I'm waiting for you!'

And just as the two directors Anthony and Old Brook had hoped, when Zhou Ming and the others walked into the parliament building, they did run into Bottleb again.

'Oh my god! It's you again, you Chinese! Are you dogs? Always following me around, looking for bones to eat? But no matter how you beg, I will never throw you any bones!' Bertolt shouted at Ming.

However, this time, they were inside the parliament building, so they had to be quiet. Therefore, someone from the election committee immediately complained, 'Are you here to run for election? If so, shut your mouth and don't make a scene, or I will definitely kick you out of here, I promise!'

Boutb, shrugging, said, 'Fine, but, esteemed sir, I don't think the parliament should be a refugee shelter. There should be some standards. We can't let just anyone come in and run for office. That would just make being a member of parliament even cheaper. You see, over there are a few Chinese people. I'm sorry for using such a vulgar term, but they're only worthy of being called...'

Over there, Baotuo Bo was taunting unscrupulously, his voice deliberately made so that Zhou Ming and the others could hear it. Huang Yi clenched his fists and said, 'This damned guy, Zhou Ming teacher, is there really nothing we can do to him?'

'Of course there is a way,' Zhou Ming said, not looking at Huang Yi when he spoke, but at the other side. He smiled and continued, 'And I think I already know how to teach him to be a human being.'
