Chapter 255: That Gorgeous Flower

Kevin Dee and Harman are a super pilot and navigator team in the US Air Force Middle East Expeditionary Force with over 300 hours of flight time. You have to understand that the Air Force is incredibly expensive. Usually, just training and casually flying around for a while thousands of dollars are gone. Not only is special aviation fuel very expensive, but also special lubricants, antifreeze and parts that are particularly prone to wear in high-tech fighter jets.

If it is normal to spend more than 100,000 US dollars if you want to mount a target. Therefore, these two pilots have flown for more than 300 hours and are undoubtedly very experienced.

Perhaps If only there were more fights going on, they would have easily been promoted to ace pilots.

But these two would-be ace pilots are feeling very depressed because they have just received orders to scramble and intercept all aircraft flying from Bahrain to Iraq.

Their were not upset because it was already half past eleven at night. In fact, as one of the most experienced super pilots, they had performed many urgent missions at short notice, but today was still a day of sandstorm.

'Ha Herman, my friend, do you hear the wind outside? It's like the screams of evil in the abyss, it can rip our souls right out. I can even feel the sound of teeth gnashing on my bones, crunching and sending shivers down my spine!' Kevin said, 'Now it's the middle of the day, and with this sandstorm weather, it's really a test of the devil, it's terrible!'

Next to him Harman, holding his flight helmet, said impatiently to him, 'Major Kervan, I think your boring complaints are enough. Unless you can convince the command to withdraw his order.'

'Don't you think such an order is simply asking us to die?' Kervan said.

'I think that the only truly irresponsible order would be for us to ask someone else to fly in this weather.'

With those words to Kevin Delaney, Harman took the lead out of the room, and Kevin Delaney, with a face of helplessness behind him, had no choice but to follow him.

Since sandstorms were raging, their plane had to be serviced in the hangar first, and more lubricant had to be added in accordance with the current weather. After all the preparations were complete, Kevin and Harman boarded the plane and slowly taxied out of the hangar to the runway for takeoff.

Even though as the hangar door opened, the wind and sand outside were so fierce that even the runway lights were hard to see, but this did not deter the two would-be ace pilots from their difficulties . With good communication and their experience, they slowly positioned their plane, aligned the angle and then taxied to take off. Ten minutes later, they were above the sandstorm.

After circling over the base for a while, and after checking the plane's radar and radio, they accelerated towards Bahrain and Iraq.

From the base to Bahrain and Iraq was 500 miles, so even in their F16s, at full throttle, it would take at least 20 minutes to get there. However, they usually chose to slow down a little, and it would take about half an hour.

Time At 12:15, Kevin and Harman finally reached their destination. They continued to slow down to cruising speed, but this so-called slowing down was only for supersonic fighters like theirs. In reality, they were still much faster than ordinary aircraft.

Suddenly Harman suddenly said, 'Kevin, you damned guy, you're not asleep, are you? My radar has detected an aircraft three o'clock ahead!'

Kevin Kevin took over from Harman: 'I've already noticed, but I'm taking another question in the SI. Do you think we should sleep? Or should we continue flying so boringly in the middle of this sandstorm?'

'I I don't understand what you're getting at. We're on a mission and don't have time to discuss any philosophical issues!' Harman said, puzzled.

'I I'm trying to make it simple. Our base is completely surrounded by a sandstorm, so what can we do even if we intercept that plane? Are we going to hover over the base with the plane indefinitely? Because just because our plane can land, it doesn't mean every plane can land in stormy weather.'

'So you want to let this plane go? You are not worthy of being a soldier, because a soldier's duty is to execute orders!' Harman said firmly.

Faced with Harman's determination, Kevin Di had to change his approach and said, 'It depends on what kind of order it is. You have to remember that we are pilots of the Federal Air Force defending freedom, not just blindly obeying Hamlets.'

Kevin Kevin Dee continued: 'Well, if I remember correctly, our base welcomed more than 20 new friends tonight, right? Although we don't know which aircraft the headquarters actually wanted to intercept, it is clear that none of them were, otherwise we would not need to take off again. So I think there may be a problem with our reporting, and the plane we were supposed to intercept doesn't even exist.'

'I really don't know why so many planes missed the flight to Iraq. Could it be that they didn't know that the war was about to break out?' Hamann said perplexed.

'They They are not unaware of the situation. On the contrary, they are all too aware of it. But risk and reward go hand in hand. Now that Iraq is suffering from a severe shortage of many goods due to the joint sanctions, many people are taking the risk of transporting some of these goods in order to make a profit. Of course These businessmen don't know when the war will break out, so they all choose the fastest private jet for transport. My friend, do you want us to get in trouble with customs?' Kevin Dickon said.

'But we are on a mission,' Harman , but he was clearly not as convinced as before.

Kevin noticed this and continued: 'Of course I know we're on a mission, and I'm not saying we should abandon it, that would be a disgrace for a soldier. What I mean is that we fly up and check him out. If there's nothing suspicious, let him go. We'll go back and report that we found nothing. That way, we can go back to sleep in an hour. Do you think that's a good idea?'

'As if you are really sure of the other person's identity, it is not impossible to simplify the procedure sometimes,' said Harman.

Seeing that Harman Kevin was delighted to see that Harman had finally been persuaded: 'That's it, we're not some kind of command centre bureaucracy, we have our own freedom! So Harman, let's hurry up and go up there and interrogate that plane.'

'You are a real pain in the ass. This mission is over, and I definitely don't want to be partnered with you again!'

Harman said this irritably, and then accelerated and turned the plane towards their three o'clock position.

But what What Harman never expected was that as soon as he turned the plane and accelerated, a shrill alarm sounded in his headphones, which made him furious. As a prospective ace pilot, Harman knew very well that this meant he had been locked on by the fire control radar of another plane.

'Kevin Kevin, please don't do this kind of childish prank, it's disgusting!' Harman scolded angrily, because now there was only him and Kevin on the radar, and Kevin was right behind him, so there was no one else but him.

'I'm I'm sorry, Harman, my brother, this is not a prank.'

Hearing these words through the earpiece, Harman didn't have time to react before he saw a guided missile coming at him. At such a close distance, even Superman would not have been able to do anything to avoid it, so...

With a loud noise, and a brilliant orange-red smoke appeared in the sky above Swaine for a moment.

Zhou Minghe's desert squad was sitting in the plane and happened to see this scene, which made Zhou Ming immediately frown: 'What was that? Could it have been an air defence fire?'

He shook his head and said, 'I'm afraid not, because I didn't see any air defence fire attacking. It's more like being hit by aerial combat. I just don't know if it was the United States that hit Iraq's plane or if it was Iraq that hit the United States' plane.'

After saying these words, the other members of the Desert Squad immediately sprang into action. They put on their parachutes while securing their weapons and equipment, and also got a parachute for Zhou Ming, handing to Zhou Ming, saying, 'In order to deal with any unexpected situations that may arise, we must be prepared to jump at any time. I will now give you a rundown of the general precautions to take when parachuting...'

If the plane may encounter any accident in the air, then a parachute is undoubtedly the best escape tool. However, a parachute does not mean that it will be a completely foolproof escape tool. In fact, if you don't pay attention to some things and just jump straight out of the plane with the parachute on, you will still be very vulnerable to injury. Therefore, I will give Zhou Ming some necessary precautions.

Zhou Ming listened listening to the words while looking in the direction of the smoke dissipating in the distance, he said something that surprised everyone after a long while: 'I have a feeling that perhaps that smoke is a gift welcoming me to Iraq.'

At this time , not far behind the plane on which Zhou Ming was travelling, was an F16 fighter plane piloted by Kevin Di.

Through the radar Kevin Di followed Zhou Ming's plane from afar and called the satellite phone on the plane. The call was quickly connected, and Kevin Di said very respectfully, 'My Your Highness, as you said, even in the midst of a sandstorm, the command centre still ordered us to take off and intercept. I am following your instructions and am now escorting the target.

A cold but pleasant voice came through the headphones: 'That is a very important person. Make sure he arrives safely in Iraq.'

Kevin Di replied that he understood. Then he was reminded, 'Have you convinced your partner? And don't forget the black box on the plane. If an investigation is carried out afterwards, you will be court-martialled.'

'So I got rid of him,' said Kevin Delaney. 'No one will ever find the black box, and soon after that there will be an accident with my plane. Without evidence, no one will be able to find out anything, let alone implicate you, my noble highness.'

'Good and may the Lord be with you.'

With those last words from the other end of the line, the call ended. Kevin continued to follow Zhou Ming's plane from a distance, and he stopped only after approaching Iraq's air defense radar network.

Finally, when he confirmed on radar that Zhou Ming's plane had safely crossed the border, he turned around and returned to the airfield. He arrived quickly at the location where he had shot down his colleague's plane, and he suddenly smiled: 'This flying maneuver has always been my dream, but I've never been able to do it because of the high price of the F16. I never thought I'd finally get the chance to realise it today, thank God.'

As he said this, Kevin Kevin fired a missile. Then he suddenly accelerated the plane, quickly overtook his own missile at twice the speed of sound, and flew in front of it to make himself the target.

'Goodbye, my baby, you will be the most beautiful gift in my life!'

The instant he said that Kevin Dey ejected himself from the cockpit. Finally, in the descending air, he saw a magnificent smoke again, but this time it was his own plane. Kevin Dey howled with excitement.

He launched the guide, then overtake the guide so that the guide hits himself.

This is undoubtedly a very imaginative aerobatic stunt, but unfortunately his performance is destined to have no audience.
