The Contract

James was at home drinking his wine when he received a phone call from his fiancé, Rika.

I am leaving you, Rika said.

Excuse me, do you realize our wedding is tomorrow? James said angrily.

I can't get married to you, Rika said.

Think about your decision wisely, Rika James said

I know my dad tried to make me marry you for his love for money and business, but I cannot, I am in love with someone else, Rika said.

James picked up his car keys and rushed to Rika's apartment, but it was too late. She had already left. As he was walking out of Rika's apartment, he overheard a lady who was pleading over the phone requesting more time to pay off debts. Seeing this as an opportunity, James decided to talk to her.

The dress and the stylist will be with you tomorrow morning for the wedding preparation and the limo will be outside waiting for you, James said.

Jasmine walked into her apartment and sat down on the couch in shock at what had just happened. She quickly took her phone and called her best friend Lisa.

Jasmine explained everything that had just happened to Lisa.

Wow, like I do not even know what to say Lisa said.

Yes it is shocking, Jasmine said.

By the way, what is his name? Lisa asked.

His name is James, Jasmine said.

Oh my God, Lisa screamed.

What happened? Why are you screaming, Jasmine asked.

Do not tell me you do not know James, Lisa asked?

Who is he, Jasmine asked.

James is a billionaire who owns one of the biggest businesses in this country, Lisa said.

What ? That can't be true, Jasmine said.

Girl, you are getting married to one of the richest and handsome men, Lisa said.

What shocking news, but why did he pick me? Jasmine wondered.

Who cares, congratulations Jasmine, you are getting married tomorrow, Lisa said happily.

Jasmine still could not believe she was getting married to a billionaire. She took her phone and did a little research on James and realized that Lisa was in fact telling the truth.

The next morning, Jasmine was still sleeping when she woke up to the sound of someone knocking on her door. A few minutes later, Jasmine's dress arrived, and the stylists walked in. She was dressed in the most beautiful white attire she had ever seen. She looked at herself in the mirror and was mesmerized by how beautiful she looked.

Everything was done and Jasmine finally arrived at the venue. She was taken away by how beautifully the hall was decorated. Gold and white was the theme of the wedding and jasmine was very sure James had spent a fortune. Jasmine was still standing there when James joined her.

You look breathtaking. James complimented

You are not too bad yourself, Jasmine said.

Shall we? James asked as he stretched his hands towards her.

We shall, Jasmine said, and held his hands.

Everyone was already seated as they both walked down the aisle to take their vows. As their vows were being said, James could not stop looking at her lips, waiting for the moment to kiss her. Then he heard you may kiss the bride. James pulled Jasmine close to him and kissed her passionately. Claps were heard as everyone stood up to congratulate the new couple.

As time went on, Jasmine decided to speak with James.

Hey, is everything okay? James asked?

Yes, everything is fine, I am just tired. Jasmine said.

I hope you are enjoying your wedding, James said

I think it is just so overwhelming, Jasmine said.

I think it is best we leave, so that you can rest," James said.

Oh, thank you, you can stay if you want to, Jasmine said.

There is no problem, we can leave. James said.

As James was driving, Jasmine could not help but wonder what her new life would be like from now on and was ready for the adventure that awaited.
