"I think I might have eaten a tad bit too much of lunch…" complained Matt as he plopped and laid down next to the dragon lady.
"If you did, you won't be lying down… Get up before you puke over me," slapped Mavislin as she tried getting the half-bunny to sit up.
"Fine… No need to get violent…"
Matt rose with a grunt as he stretched his back, hearing his spine pop and crack. He then skimmed over to Mavislin, who was busy reading the reports given by their superiors.
"Another mission?" questioned Matt as he placed his chin on the girl's shoulder.
"Yes… Unfortunately, we are tasked with a rather interesting one… No monster, no weird Magecraft."
"Then that isn't unfortunate… I'd rather go back to dealing with normal enemies than to do that showdown with Tarasque again…"
"You might want to think twice, because we are up against the Viceroy of the Allatrinity, Prince of Darkness…" said the Dragon girl as she allowed the bunny to read the contents of the letter.
"Didn't he recently gain infamy for dominating the Akhaten and Nuas towns? I heard that the folks there were slaughtered just for his sole purpose of taking over those lands…" explained Mattheos as he frowned.
"That's precisely why they've sent for us to hunt him down. The Syndicate doesn't want him alive anymore. I… Might regret taking this mission soon but the coin is pretty good. We could buy a whole town with the price," answered Mavislin, smiling devilishly at the bunny.
"Not everything needs to be about coin, Mav…"
"Hey, I'd rather be sad under the roof of a mansion than to be crying at the fields. Anyways, are you with me? I promise to share…" pleaded the Dragon girl as she grasped Matt's wrist, looking at him with her sparkling blood-red eyes and bright amber limbal rings.
"When are we heading out? And where are we going to?" asked the bunny as he couldn't resist the enthusiastic dragon girl in front of him.
"Tonight, we are headed for the palace of Valokia, Arcadia," said Mavislin as she smiled brightly and grabbed the comb from her bedstand.
Matt watched as the joyful girl continued to lay out their plans while combing through her long, wavy wine wine-colored hair and tying it into a simple ponytail that covered the base of her spine.
Her ivory white skin and scales were such a rare find, as most dragonic women had dark or blueish complexions.
"I usually don't like to do confrontation but everything about this Prince of Darkness screams that he needs to be faced on the frontlines. He isn't the type to use underhand tactics but craves for destruction and slaughter."
"My guardian would love to fight him. You think you could do a frontline job?" asked Mavislin, finishing her hair with a black floral-designed hairband.
"Of course, I too prefer the frontlines instead of sneaking around like you, Shadow," taunted Matt as he emphasized the last word. That name was used as an alias within the organization they were in.
