"Don't forget that you are also up against me," growled Matt as he clashed against the man's scythe.
"Don't worry; I haven't forgotten how I knocked you out with a single punch," taunted the Viceroy as he glanced to his side.
The dragon girl—where had she gone? It was of no consequence; the Viceroy decided to focus on the bunny first. With a fierce determination, he lifted his scythe and unleashed a slash of dark and blue energy towards Mattheos.
The rabbit swiftly regained his footing and charged back into the fray, ready for another round of combat.
Amidst the clash and the shifting wind, Mattheos managed to block a final, powerful strike from the Viceroy. At that critical moment, Mavislin emerged from the shadows, her blade aimed straight for the Viceroy's side.
To Mattheos' growing dismay, their enemy simply caught the blade midair with a casual, almost effortless motion.
"Damn it…" cursed the rabbit as he failed to see the Viceroy's oncoming kick that sent him flying into a tree.
Meanwhile, Mavislin was left to fend off another oncoming stab of the enemy's blade, narrowly missing it while also grabbing her own to deflect the next strike. The dragon girl's pulse was loud as she felt the thrill of fighting against a strong enemy.
She could sense her alter banging onto her skull, begging to be unleashed. In the clearing, the duo engaged in a fierce exchange, their scythes clashing with a dazzling display of black, blue, and purple sparks.
The battlefield became a spectacle of light and motion, each swing and parry executed with unrelenting speed and tenacity. For the young girl, the intensity of the combat was unprecedented.
The Viceroy met her attacks blow for blow, his relentless counterstrikes creating a rhythm of clashes that, from a distance, might have been mistaken for an elaborate, fiery fireworks display.
From out of the left field, Mattheos had recovered and decided to uproot a nearby tree and throw it toward the Viceroy. Mavislin instantly pulled back to allow the enemy to slice the giant tree.
"Surely I could slice this obstacle like a bag of biscuits…" scoffed the Viceroy, swiftly slicing the giant tree into two.
"But it was enough to leave you open!" yelled Mavislin as she jumped into the skies and contorted her body to plummet down onto him with a strike.
The Viceroy's smirk widened as he observed the silhouette of his striker against the full moon. The moonlight bathed her in an ethereal glow, accentuating her beauty, yet the aura she emanated was anything but serene—radiating instead a palpable, murderous intensity.
"Void's Sacrifice!" shouted the dragon girl as she brought down the attack onto the Viceroy, with her scythe's blade turning to black and purple energy to land a blow on him.
He had almost forgotten he was in combat, nearly letting her strike slip through his defenses. But his armor, forged with the highest caliber of defensive Magecraft, could not be breached by something as simple as a beast's claw.
