Andromeda Against Toxic Aetherveil

"Damn it!" cursed Mavislin as she leaped further away so she couldn't get caught by the torrent of sticky silk.

The monster shrieked as an orb of pure, deep green poison formed in between her messed up fangs, growing larger as it soaked up more mana from the air.

Using the broken walls as leverage, Mavislin quickly rushed around the creature, raising her blade and ready to pounce. Her blade emitted streams of black with purple highlights as she poured her energy into the next attack.

"Strengthen my Blood Fortress… Infuse me with the remnants of fading hopes and forgotten desires… Fortify my will and strike with relentless power!"

"From the depths of the Temple of the Shapeless Isle, Andromeda, awaken and answer my summons!" shouted Mavislin as a circular emblem of purple appeared before her blade.

She then brought the blade down onto the giant spider, coating the blade in a giant beam of black and purple.

"The first Poison murder descends from the Arrogant King… Behold, Toxic Aetherveil," called out Celia, as Mavislin's attack clashed with hers.

The clash only lasted for a second before the poison orb exploded, causing the area to be immersed into a thick, green poisonous fog.

The dragoness instantly started choking on the air as she backed off from the giant, hacking up blood due to breathing in the toxic air. Mavislin then plunged the sword into the ground to remain standing despite the severe state of her airways and lungs.

Celia seemed to start cackling in madness upon looking at Mavislin's weakened state and was inching closer toward her enemy, like a predator about to have its first meal of the day.

"Where was that gusto that you boasted earlier? Am I unfun for you now?" taunted Celia as she used one of her long legs to slam into Mavislin's side, causing the dragoness to fly into a nearby wall.

Mavislin remained silent as Celia summoned a beam of mana straight towards her, expecting it to hurt the dragoness. But all it did was make Shadow smile with a glint of excitement in her pretty green eyes.

Mavislin deftly dodged the incoming strike by leaping gracefully into the air. As she descended, she hurtled toward Celia with relentless speed, catching her opponent off guard with the sudden and forceful shift in the battle.

The dragoness thrust her blade forwards and destroyed one of the spider's legs with ease before turning around to cut down the one beside it.

"What?! How can it be?! How are you not affected by my toxic fumes?!" screamed Celia as she desperately tried to stop Mavislin from cutting off more limbs.

"You should have figured out my Guardian's true nature when you locked eyes with me earlier," grinned Mavislin, her tone laced with cold amusement.

"And as for that little poison cloud—don't think it's harmless just because it's not immediately deadly. It might take time to take effect, but it's far from ineffectual. Patience is simply part of the game."
