Aishnovan Kingdom

Geography

The Kingdom of Aishnova is a wide terrain of mountains, plains, and small rivers that connect to oceans and lagoons. A lively and prosperous place that elicits envy from some surrounding kingdoms. The natural resources are abundant. This is why some villages have specialties and some have multiple business entities.

Currency

Penn/s is the monetary unit used by the Kingdom. It is in the form of coins or in banknotes. Banknote denominations are 100, 1000, 10000, and 100000. Most that common people hold are coins and denominations of 100s and 1000s. Only the rich get a hold of 10000 and 100000 for obvious reasons.

Livelihood

The livelihood specializes in stone carving and fine metalworking. With the blessing of the mountains and caves, the resources for precious metals, stones, and natural food are everywhere. Farming and Hunting are not unusual for every family. It is the basic food source first and the money-maker only second.

However, art is part of humanity, and artistry in various crafts is normal. It varies from weaving, pottery, and carpentry to good crafts.

Technology

The kingdoms developed different technologies and were able to share them with other kingdoms. Electricity is fairly new and so far is being used to power lights and a few newly discovered appliances such as refrigeration systems and stoves. However, candles and manual heating mechanisms are still widely used by normal households.

Of course, all the latest developments are being used by the Palace. Discoveries are recognized and encouraged by the kingdom as opportunities for growth.

People

The kingdom is generally peace-loving and does not engage in territorial conquests. However, it is not stranger to border conflicts as well as small and big wars due to surrounding kingdoms driven by greed towards their natural resources.

The Aishnovan people are kind and compassionate. If not for the need to protect the borders, the soldiers would rather stay with their families, farm or hunt, and raise children. There's nothing more important than the harmonious relationship of the family. Therefore, once they start their own families, their original families become second in consideration only.

The Aishnovan people are resilient and physically strong. Because of the essence provided by women, they usually are in tip-top conditions every day.

People normally die of old age or sudden death such as murder or during battles.

Aishnovan Women and Bloodline

The Aishnovan bloodline is pure and only the women carry this ability and pass it on to their offspring. If a woman of Aishnova, in the rare case of falling in love with a man from another kingdom, decides to raise a family somewhere else has to be decreed and expelled from the kingdom. She also has to drink a certain forbidden fruit called Lurog for 7 days. It is an extremely sweet and sour fruit with a bitter aftertaste which eliminates the essence ability, thereby completely cutting off her Aishnovan bloodline.

This is what makes the women of Aishnova unique. They contain lifeforce essence in their blood. A useful ability that helps sustain a man's vitality. They will have a mark on their left wrists with either blue or green with various shapes like a birthmark. This indicated the after-effect once vitality-essence was transferred. Green should indicate the essence of vitality and healing. Blue indicates vitality and relaxation or stress-relieving which calms the mind and heart. Aside from this, lovemaking helps both bodies build, repair, or invigorate whichever part of the body needs it the most at around 25% to 40%.

This is the reason why it is normal for a family man to have two wives at most. The men of Aishnova were always doing heavy work to provide for the family. A single woman alone cannot aid in his everyday replenishment. She has to have at least a day to regenerate her essence. She can also only give up to 50% in a day. 90% at most and takes 2 days to recover. Otherwise, transferring more will be critical or worse, life-threatening.

In this regard, the power of Aishnova Women can only assist but they should never be the sole source of essence strengthening nor be the answer to the total healing of a man.

The people in power and position have different systems though. As the position rises, so is the allowed number of wives and concubines. The King has to issue a decree for every additional wife or concubine too.

The King… Well, he can have as many wives and concubines as he wants, of course.

During the annual visits, the Census Bureau aims to monitor the population and ensure that appropriate counts of wives/concubines are followed.

King - Bréanainn Clan (Pronounced BREH-neen)

The sovereign ruler is a wise and loving monarch to his people. He grew up in an excellent environment, with impeccable education, and clever mentors.

Coincidentally for the past three generations, there was only one male heir. As the grand prince, he is used to being doted on so he also has a wild and mischievous stage during adolescence. Some of those playful energies still exist today.

The family was preceded by two great Kings, his father and grandfather. The father usually gives up their position for the newer generations just so they can take care of their family. The earlier, the better. They are not greedy for the position. Typically, they remain as powerful mentors behind the King.

They were great heads of the family. Wives and children were managed with rare occurrences of issues and sibling rivalries. Princesses are often married to noble families and rarely to other kingdoms.

General Donne Kyree Xelt

General Donne’s status can have three wives and a concubine. He already has two wives. The last decree was of him to have Meara as a concubine. This was maliciously orchestrated by Donne's mother, Kashie Xelt who knew of Meara's rare mark and ability. She convinced her husband, Muner Xelt, to speak to Sigor Haelan and entered General Xelt's household as a third wife.

Meara’s Mark

As for Meara's mark, she has green, red, and blue gradient colors in a serpent shape.

The red is not only a rarity but it can be considered as the first occurrence in the history of the Aishnovan Kingdom. Nobody knows what it is for and as for any new occurrences. The red’s ability will be discovered later on.

This mark of hers was considered a curse. The death of her mother upon giving birth to her solidified the discussions about her as a "cursed child".

Meara kept the mark hidden by her colorful bracelet. She has been discriminated against all her life. The only consolation is when new people don't look at her with judgment.
