"We should sit down if you have anything to say to me." Meara sat down and waited for her estranged father to sit opposite her.
"How… how are you?"
"We both have a healthy pair of eyes. We can both see each other's situation." Meara answered in a soft voice but her tone was indifferent.
Sigor felt her coldness and it made his heart shiver.
Meara felt a bit bad for answering disrespectfully. In any case, this man has given her food, shelter, and education. She still owes him her life. He may not have loved her but he took him in.
"I have a very capable husband who loves me, a business which keeps us afloat, and friends who support me. I am quite content."
