Resolution.

The following nights had been restless and tiresome. Bel hadn't been able to catch a proper sleep over these passing nights, her mind seems to be occupied with thoughts of the man. His firm gaze haunted her sleep, where she felt perplexed over how a man could leave her feeling this way.

Waking up after having countless dreams where she felt herself being watched by him, left her breathless and lightheaded. Sighing in frustration, Bel tried pushing these feelings behind her consecutively - and what made matters worse was how he always manages to still dominate her thoughts even with that shortest minute of eye contact they had.

Each time she would wake up from its torment, she would pick up her phone and try texting Katie. Other times she had already constructed her message, just looking for that last minute of impulse into delivering the message.

' actually, what led to her texting Katie or rather trying to text her; was as a result of how much she seems to be longing - longing to have a second chance meeting with this man. '

Being full of enthusiasm, Katie offered to also help her. On the basis that she knew his car license number, even if she knew it was illegal in the country. Like she could really get arrested for it, yet she sorted it as a means of helping her friend, find out who the man was.

To top it all, despite her effort Bel had always restrained from doing such. She had never given her consent to Katie about doing it, even though she did write down the license number to her - maybe she was hoping that one morning when she wakes up; gone will be the strange feelings she had for him.

Or maybe it's just a misconception she had been feeding herself with!

Awaiting realization to dawn on her, on how days became weeks and weeks slowly stretching on.

Though one thing that kept playing in her head, was her previous conversation with Katie.

' so... you know I could try going through his license. Maybe find something connecting to him.! '

' I don't know...'

' you don't have to know. Beside , this is your hangover not his. '

Silence reigned between the both of them for minutes, though Katie wasn't tired of pushing her into making the first move - yet she just wanted to be sure her friend knew what it entailed once she followed her intuition.

' alright , how about Ken? '

Katie knew Bel, more than anyone else which made her ask her this question.

Was there a place for Ken in her heart now?

Is he the reason why she wasn't sure if to follow these strange feelings she's having towards the strange man or was she just being hesitant for no reason.

' I... I don't think so. Besides , you know me. '

Bel scoffed at her words, not resisting to show her blank emotions at the mention of his name.

If one thing was certain, was how she didn't truly care as much as she did before. Though Bel did show concern a few months ago - when they were still dating back then, from how much he also showed his affection towards her.

" So... what changed.? "

" Umm..."

" Yes. What changed now.! "

Her eyes leered in Bel's directions. Enticing her with words in hopes of showing her, how much she had fallen for a man she just met.

" I'm not sure. But Katie , he is different. Different from Ken and the others I've seen so far..."

Katie knew for certain how much her best friend had fallen, though she hadn't done lovey-dovey and relationship since she knew her; still it made Katie happy. Extremely happy that her friend finally fancies a man.

" Okay... I believe you. But , what will you do when you see him again?

That one question rang so loudly in her ears, so loudly that it became ingrained into her mind.

She didn't have an answer to Katie's question, as simple as the question was, Bel felt unable to give an answer to this question. Looking at Bel - Katie also didn't want an answer herself, rather she wanted Bel to find the answer within herself and make the right call when that time arrives.

At an early hour of the day, towards four o'clock in the morning, when the sun was still far from rising. Bel sat up on her bed, slowly resting her back towards the headrest while she heaved a sigh.

Another night of having one of those dreams when she would wake up only to find herself in cold sweat, the room was dimly lit through the chandelier while the air conditioner was fully on.

" Oh- my... sigh! "

Lifting her hands upward into touching her forehead, she tucked a few strands of hair loosen backwards behind her ears, when she looked towards the night stand - the time was already a couple minutes past four.

The content of her dream; was a topic she didn't want to delve into. Though she knew she was fighting a war within herself either to accept or reject. !

Either way accepting was hard, just as rejecting was also taking a huge toll on her mental health.

Bel stood up from her bed, walking towards her huge closet. She pushed the double doors open while stepping inside and putting on the lights, she went through a rack beside a huge standing mirror; sorting through the few things placed here.

Slowly she placed her hand on a bow. A satin hair bow, very fancy looking and well kept for a young child. Sapphire blue in colour mixed with few specks of pink in it.

" If only you were here... "

She said in pain, her eyes slowly becoming moist and she fought back the tears trying to fall. Each time she had felt any kind of wall, or facing any difficulties; she relies on this fancy looking bow given to her by her mother.

Back then her mom had always cherished her, so much that she would always look for means of always making sure Bel was happy all the time. Since her mom's demise, coupled with how she found out about her death was very devastating.

Yet she was able to overcome the shock and here she was now. All strong and non-yielding to circumstances she found unfavorable to her.

" Sigh... you've always told me to be happy. ' Your sweet Bel...' sigh.! ! .! "

She laughed in a teasing manner at herself, with her eyes still in pain. Slowly placing the bow back to its original spot and walking out of the wardrobe.

Getting back to her bed, she took her phone and finally gave her consent to Katie's request about helping her, before drawing the quilt over herself and drifting back into sleep.
