All through the conversation the men were having, Bel felt distance. Like her presence wasn't even there, the cold tone of the man's voice - was harsh and reprimanding.
Her brain seems to be frost, her eyes dazed staring at the second man's face.
What kept resonating in her mind was ' fate...'
Was fate really true in this mundane world?
Bel queried inwardly...
" We should get out of here... "
' Huh...! ! ! '
Bel snapped out of her daze, Registering what was going on, from how the man made a move to leave the ward.
" Wait. "
Bel called out , causing the man to pay attention to her presence in the room. She trudged cautiously towards his side, standing just a few meters from him.
" Can we go on a date.? "
" ... "
The other man was left agape , watching the scene before his very eye.
Wasn't it a couple of minutes ago he asked her to go on a date with him.As a means of clearing the debt of fixing his car.
Yet she refused, only to offer herself to this cold man as his date partner... where is the fairness in this world.!
The man Bel was standing close to now, was none other than the man from her dreams. That same man from the club the other night , was now standing before her very eyes again.
Taking this opportunity, she decided to push through with her luck all over again, trying to get him on the same page as her.
" Well , I can settle for just one date if you don't mind..."
She said, her eyes glossy with a warm smile on her pretty face.
On the other hand, the man was speechless; trailing his eyes from the girl standing before him towards the direction of his partner in a red suit, trying to connect the dot between them.
The man in a red suit shrugged his shoulders in denial, clearly showing how he wasn't behind her act.
He brought his gaze back to her, pulling his hands from his pants pocket; while he lifted them upwards and adjusted his tie.
" Bel... right , you don't seem good at quitting are you? "
" Well I'm not a child Mr. "
Bel argued, taking a step forward.
" Look pumpkin..."
'Pumpkin. ! ! ! '
The other man exclaimed in surprise. No guy from their right senses could sum up the courage into calling such a girl a pumpkin, not even the man in a red suit himself, seeing how hot she was.
Her mock neck crop top gluing to her body, outlining her boobs and a huge denim jacket; barely covering her lower abdomen, coupled with a black striped pleated skirt. Reaching her mid thigh and exposing her straight legs, and a mixed black Louis Vuitton sneaker.
She was very hot, with a keen sense for fashion.
The man took a few minutes into observing her more closely.
' Yeah she was hot, ever since that night he first saw her; she had always been dressing up very hot and alluring... so why was he pushing her away.'
" Am I unattractive to you.? "
" ... "
The man in a red suit was left agape again at their conversations, if she was the definition of unattractive; then what is the true definition of attractiveness, was that even what reasoning.
" Look pumpkin , you are good... maybe too good for me. "
The man in a red suit seems to be enjoying the show more, seeing how he nods his head at his partner's words in affirmation - like who could love this cold man? Since he knew him, this had been the longest conversation he had seen him had.
" I can be bad , besides... I'm not naive."
Bel pouted, standing very close to him. Seemingly ready to give it her all, not giving him a chance to refuse her like last time.
" Look , Miss Dolph I'm sorry I have to leave you now..."
He said in disappointment, being more formal with her while he stepped
backwards walking away from her; leaving her in a daze.
Their conversations were still playing in her head, standing at one spot while both men left the ward.
' I'm too good for him.. '
She mumbled to herself.
" Wait. ! ! ! "
Bel called out, pushing the door and running out of the ward. She began searching for him, through the corridor of the hospital - running as she searched for him.
Soon she arrived outside the hospital, where she saw him at a distance about entering his car. Chasing after him; Bel sprinted towards his direction, just to catch up with him before he left.
Panting slowly, she managed to get a hold of him, whereas she pulled out her phone and looked at him.
" Alright then give me your number. ! "
Bel said, catching him off guard with her words. The man halted amidst placing one foot into his car - holding the handle of the door. He looked at her, her serious gaze boring into his calm one; clearly showing how determined she was.
" Forget about me pumpkin. "
" Alright , what about you Mr. can you give me his number. "
Moving her gaze towards the other man in a red suit, Bel tried her luck on him as well.
At her words, the man shrugged his shoulders halfway up; in disapproval at her request before he started.
" Why don't you take mine instead. "
" ... "
Bel glared at him, eyes blazing at how he had been unhelpful all through her conversation she was having with his partner.
" Okay , I would pay for it... "
' What. '
Her words were slowly becoming insane, in what generation do people pay for a person's number when they are standing there; if he wasn't here, maybe paying was a bit logical - not when he's standing right there.
The man in a red suit was utterly at a loss, like what was up with the world today; or rather what was up with this girl?
Those she only fancies men who are cold...!
" Name your price... and don't worry I wouldn't forget the damage I did to your car. "
Bel stood firm in her words, showing how much she wasn't kidding around.
" One night on a date then. "
" I'm sorry I can't do that. Ask for something else..."
" Alright give me a kiss then.! "
" ... "
Bel felt indignant, hearing the man's response which caused her to give him a dirty look before taking her gaze off him.
" Alright , the kiss must not be on the lips. How about on the cheek..."
" Forget about it. "
The man who had been quite all this while finally spoke out, his cold and dignified voice silencing the conversation between her and his partner.
Stretching out his hand, he collected her phone; his finger moved gracefully on it , dailing his number before handing it back to her.
Getting a hold of her phone, her eyes radiated a rare glint of excitement; which she couldn't contain, standing there while the car drove away.
