Chapter 16: The Genius Heiress

Chapter 16: The Genius Heiress

At the Konoha Hospital, the ninjas injured due to the conflict between Konoha and the Cloud Village had begun waiting for treatment under the guidance of medical ninjas.

Although the entire Konoha village had lost power, the hospital was brightly lit and operating as usual. The hospital's electricity supply was separate from the public grid, with many critical facilities being monitored and managed independently.

Even if Hinata Hyuga drained all of Konoha's power, the hospital wouldn't be affected.

"Why are you just getting here?!"

Hyuga Ao arrived slowly with Hinata Hyuga. A middle-aged male medical ninja in blue surgical scrubs rushed over with a worried expression, glaring at Ao with urgency in his eyes.

Wearing blue scrubs, a blue cap, protective goggles, and a white medical mask, he looked ready for surgery.

"And you brought a child? At a time like this, you still have time to look after a kid?!" Kurama Yuu quickly grabbed Ao's hand, trying to drag him to the treatment room.

"Ah, this is Kurama Yuu, my colleague. Miss, please come with us," Ao said, following Kurama Yuu but turning back to Hinata Hyuga.

Hinata paused for a moment before nodding silently. She stood up and followed them to the medical room.

Seeing this, Kurama Yuu was extremely anxious. Ao's late arrival had worsened the patients' conditions, and now he had time to worry about a child?

"What are you thinking? Don't you understand the situation? Why would you bring a child?"

"She's the Hyuga heiress, the one I mentioned earlier."

Ao's steps were hurried, but at Kurama Yuu's questions, his expression softened slightly.

With the heiress here, everything would be fine.

"You mean that genius kid? The one who can perform Chakra Scalpel surgery?" Kurama Yuu's eyes widened, looking towards Hinata with a complicated expression, muttering to himself, "Still, bringing her here isn't a joke..."

After all, Kurama Yuu had never witnessed Hinata's medical skills firsthand. He had only heard Ao's extraordinary tales, so he was skeptical.

He kept glancing back at Hinata, who followed them expressionlessly. She didn't seem like the lively and cute girl she appeared to be but instead had a calm, almost mature demeanor.

"Click."

They reached the operating room and entered.

Inside, a young male chunin lay on the operating table, wearing a Konoha ninja uniform. His eyes were wide open, staring blankly at the ceiling. He was filthy, and some of his wounds had already been treated.

A girl in blue surgical scrubs stood nearby, waiting for the surgery to begin.

When she saw Hinata enter, she widened her eyes in surprise, puzzled as she watched Ao dress the young girl in surgical scrubs.

Why was a little girl here? And Ao-sama was helping her get ready for surgery? Did this mean she would participate in the operation? Was it because of her Byakugan? No, Ao-sama had Byakugan too, so why?

"Oh, she's Miss Hinata, the one I told you about earlier," Ao said nonchalantly as he knelt before Hinata, helping her put on surgical gear, including a cap, goggles, and a mask.

"The prodigy who mastered the Chakra Scalpel?!" The young nurse's eyes widened with curiosity, examining Hinata closely and finding her even more adorable.

"Alright, let's begin the surgery. What's the situation?" Ao asked, standing up, eager to avoid further delays.

"The ninja's injuries are severe. There's chakra interference inside the body. We need to disperse the chakra and drain the clotted blood," the nurse quickly replied, getting into the rhythm.

Ao nodded, then approached the patient to examine him further. "Is the anesthesia in effect?"

"Yes, it's been a while. The anesthesia should have taken full effect," the nurse confirmed.

"Hurry up!" Kurama Yuu, waiting beside the operating table, urged with an impatient look.

"Don't rush." Ao stood by the operating table but noticed Hinata's height and moved to fetch a higher platform. He placed it beside the table so Hinata could reach.

Standing on it, Hinata was now at the right height.

She had already pieced together the situation based on the information she had overheard. Confident in her abilities, thanks to the system's guidance, she believed she could handle the treatment.

Moreover, she realized that if she could become a skilled medical ninja, she might only need to heal people in the future, avoiding the need to fight on the battlefield. That prospect seemed appealing to her.

"Byakugan!"

"System activation detected. Byakugan identified. Data processing underway."

"Detection complete. Optimal surgery plan selected."

Both Hinata and Ao activated their Byakugan.

Hinata nodded as the system confirmed its diagnosis.

"Let's proceed with the surgery," Ao instructed. After ensuring everyone was ready, he donned sterilized gloves with the nurse's help, adjusted the equipment, and prepared to start the operation with his Byakugan activated.

"I'm starting."

First, he carefully made an incision where the surgery was needed. He had already assessed the injury earlier, so there was no concern about mistakes.

Focusing intently, he lowered the scalpel passed to him by the nurse. The sharp blade made a precise cut through the patient's skin. Thanks to the anesthesia, there was no pain, and the patient remained under a special medical genjutsu, ensuring a smooth procedure.

Hinata observed the surgery closely.

The operation closely followed the system's recommended plan, though slightly less precise. Still, given that this patient's injuries were not as severe as those of Hyuga Zang before, a simple surgery would suffice.
