CHAPTER 12 {DOWNFALL}

After a brief break, Lee Jun and Sam went out for a quick drink and returned to the office. Lee Jun turned to Sam with gratitude.

"Sam, thank you so much!" Sam looked at him curiously. "For what, boss?" For making me see sense and getting me back on track," Lee Jun replied. Sam smiled, his expression softening.

"As your personal secretary, it's my job, boss," Sam said. "But to be honest, I wasn't thinking about that. When I saw you like that, I just wanted to help." Lee Jun's gaze lingered on Sam, noticing something different about him.

"Sam, are you okay?" Sam's expression faltered for a moment before he regained his composure." Yes, boss. I'm fine," Sam said, a hint of a smile on his face. Lee Jun's eyes narrowed, sensing that something was off. As they walked back to their workspace, suddenly Lee Jun's ex secretary walks in and makes a scene by that he had overheard the chief directors planning to stop the stock. Sam's expression turned tense, and he revealed that he had an idea.

"Boss, if we skyrocket our remaining stock now, the company will face a huge impact," Sam explained. "But what if we negotiate with other companies and see if they can help us? I think I know someone who can assist us." Lee Jun's eyes lit up with interest.

"Who is it?" That night, I was supposed to talk with Mrs. Lia Joseph, but my worked stopped me from going. I was kind of not so happy in meeting her because she is my cousin's wife. And I don't have a very good relationship with her. Because they hate me for being a useless son and has more property". " I sent Sam to talk with her, but I was worried because it was his first time meeting people".

The phone rang, and Lee Jun answered, instructing Sam to meet with Mrs. Joseph and secure the contract. Sam nodded, determination etched on his face. As Sam met with Mrs. Joseph, he was greeted by her personal secretary. Mrs. Joseph received him warmly, but her expression turned guarded when Sam broached the topic of the crisis at Lee's Company.

"Yes, Sam, I'm well aware of the situation," Mrs. Joseph said. "But you should know that I'm helpless right now. Your company rejected my offer to join forces when Lee's father was alive. What do you expect me to do now?" When everything is out of our hands now. Miss. Lia, I can understand the situation right now. But please help him this once. And I will give a very important thing that you have been in search of.
