ZINA
Zina's shoulders shook violently while her tears streamed endlessly, and yet she didn't make a single sound.
It was a feat she never thought was conceivably possible. The ability to cry without making a sound.
Daemon hugged her harder until her back was crushed to his chest, leaving them no space at all. And he said nothing as if he knew that she needed all the silence she could afford, but that didn't stop him from cradling her like an egg.
Seconds turned to minutes, and they stayed still in the silence. When Zina exhausted her tear ducts, she sniffled and then broke the silence.
"I want to be strong. Seraph deserves that I be strong for her." She said just another bout of silent, shoulder racking tears overcame her.
It would seem as though she hadn't yet exhausted her tear reserve as she had thought.
