Chapter 6: Unexpected Reunion
*Damian's P.O.V*
Well the place she brought us to was about a drive away from our house that I later burnt to pieces before we left and then she knocked on the door and she began to fiddle with her fingers as she anticipated the person to open up…and finally the door opened….
"Oh hey Ciara…is there a problem? Thought you left a few hours ago? And who is this….guy with you?" the person that opened up looked at me from head to toe and then he smiled as he focused back on Ciara…
"Or is he the one that paid for your makeover---"
"Actually he's my brother Max…" and that was when something occurred to me…
"Max…?"…"Damian?" both of us chorused in unison as we tried to remember how both of us looked like when we last saw each other…Max was my best friend back at high school the shit is dated way back to elementary school and it's deep but it all broke after graduation…we were both looking for admission into college and he got one but I didn't and then this gang opportunity came up but he didn't want me to get involved…so arguments upon arguments and we didn't want to be friends again and we moved on and he packed out eventually and to be honest I regret not listening to him I bet my life would have been a bit better than it is…
*Max's P.O.V*
He looks so different you can hardly notice the old him from him…even his eye color had changed and he looked like the owner of a gym and I wished I had listened to him and had joined his gang…my life might have been a bit better than this and maybe I would have had a little makeover too…
*Ciara's P.O.V*
The tension is the air was denser than anything one could mention and at some point my neck got tired because I was looking at the two of them talking to each other telepathically while keeping blank expressions on their faces…and I decided to cut the rope as I chuckled nervously…
"Well…you guys can get together…you know BFF reunion shit….while I err go pack in the bags… " and with that I left them to treat themselves…
*Damian's P.O.V*
I saw as his eyes traced her as she moved inside with the luggage and it reminded me of old times where the three of us would be together and he'd look at Ciara for way too long and I'd say
"Don't let me plug your eyes out" and then he'd scoff and punch my chest playfully and he'd reply with…
"Don't worry…I was just observing the view" and he'd laugh nervously and then I'd let it slide but now I couldn't replay that same moment because our eyes met after he gawked at Ciara and he had that look on his face he used to have back then…and then my guilt meter got filled to the brim so I decided to apologize…
"I'm sorry I didn't listen to you…" both of us chorused in unison again and we smiled and then we did our comprehensive secret handshake that we used to do back then…
"So you still remember it?" I teased and he chuckled…
"I've still got everything…its fresh in my head…you know…anytime Ciara comes over I remember you…" I became amused and amazed…
"So…you've been seeing my sister?" I teased and he scratched the back of his head nervously and I laughed…
"Don't worry…I'm not going to plug out your eyes this time around…" I joked and he chuckled nervously…I then closed the door and got it and both of us sat on the sofa and we continued the gist from where we stopped…
"So…have you guys….had sex?" his face flushed immediately and I laughed at him…
"Well…not yet…but…" he drew closer and he whispered… "Is she a virgin?" and both of us looked at each other in the eye and a dark smile crept to our faces in unison and we laughed to our hearts content…it was just like the old times…
"Well that's for you to find out---"
"So you freaks have gotten together? Finally!" Ciara came in and sat in between both of us on the sofa…and then we looked at her and she looked at both of us and we repeated this one more time and both I and max smirked…
"So you have a thing for freaks?" Max asked her teasingly and I covered my mouth to prevent myself from laughing and then I composed myself soon enough after Ciara's blush died down…
"N…not in the presence of my brother…" she blurted out in embarrassment and Max chuckled teasingly...
"Well…I see absolutely nothing wrong with it" Max teased further as he placed his hands on her thighs that were exposed by the short jorts she wore…
"So this was the walk you wanted to take the other day? A walk to his house…" I joked and I and Max laughed ridiculously while she looked at her thighs to avoid both of our gazes…and then she got up…
"Let me go and cook dinner for us to eat" she babbled out and with that she left us alone and we began to remind ourselves about the past…
*Ciara's P.O.V*
Although they were embarrassing me like they always used to do but that one was in front of my friends…Max was still as I remember him but he kinda grew more attractive if I may say…I became his friend on snapchat about a week ago and I was glad I did because when he was in high school I was deeply head over heels for Max…and no other boy used to talk to me because my brother was a dork and I wasn't good looking back at high school…he's my brother's mate and my senior with about four years or so…he has black shoulder length hair with unequal bangs that threatened to cover his eyes and that attribute contributed about ninety percent to his silent and nerdy behavior his body build was average and he's almost as tall as Damian but taller than me with about four to five inches…his jawline was not as masculine as Damian's but his face was cute…especially his sky-blue eyes I then shook the thoughts of him from my mind and then I began to make something for us to eat…but not to lie no matter how much I tried I couldn't get him off from my mind…
*Damian's P.OV*
We had eaten and we were in his living room watching a reality show on the TV…Ciara was in Ma's hands while we watched TV and then I didn't want to spoil the good moment but I really needed to let Max know what was going on…
"Max there's something I've got to tell you"
"Sure you can go ahead…" he said with his eyes and Ciara's eyes still fixated on the show and then I heaved a sigh of frustration…
"It's quite important..." and with that he turned off the TV and had decided to listen to me…
"Well as we all know that I and Ciara didn't look like this…well the truth behind it is that…..we're vampires" he rose up an eyebrow in confusion and then he looked at Ciara who also avoided his gaze and I really needed to prove it to him…so I opened my mouth for him to see my slightly long fangs and he jolted in fear as he lets go of Ciara…
"What the fuck bro! What is that?" he exclaimed…
"What teeth does a vampire have?" I answered his question rhetorically and he got up and took a few steps backwards as he tried to digest the information…and then he looked at Ciara and his face hardened…
"Why didn't you tell me about this?" his voice was so soft yet he wore a hard face and it hit Ciara right at the bottom of her heart…
"I wanted to tell you b…but I…." she paused as she didn't have anything else to say…
"Look Max don't make things look complicated ok? Right now a gang is after us and we just want to hide here for a while and---"
"Oh I see!! So I'm some kind of refuge huh? Guess you'll never change…" he raked and stood up and left and then Ciara broke into tears while I sighed in frustration because this wasn't how things were meant to turn out…I then went to Ciara who sobbed loudly and wailed like a baby…
"Don't worry it's ok…" and she hugged me and cried on my chests and then I reluctantly patted her back until she slept….
"Hey…" Max's voice called me out from my sleep…and the he made me realize that I dozed off and then I woke Ciara who was leaning on my shoulders up…and she rubbed the sleep off from her eyes…then Max avoided our gaze before he spoke up…
"You guys slept on the couch?" he asked as he finally came to sit down beside Ciara who was now in between both of us just like yesterday night…
"Well she cried off to sleep and I pondered off to sleep…" Max then exhaled deeply and then he placed his hands on Ciara's thighs…
"Look I didn't mean to get mad at you guys but I just felt like I should have known…but still I'm sorry f---"…Ciara didn't even let him finish she just smashed her lips against his and they engaged in a passionate and hungry reconciliation kiss while I just sat and stared at the slightly awkward moment which went on for about a minute or so before Ciara and Max came to their senses…
"Well can you at least reduce the amount of intimacy when I'm around…I still find it quite awkward" I teased and Max laughed while Ciara chuckled lightly and I too joined in the happiness fest until I began to suddenly feel uneasy as I was hearing a whirring sound getting less distant and then something flew through the window and stabbed my neck and I found it hard to breathe and my vision began to wane away….my heart even became heavy and then everything became blank....
