Silva left the throne room after talking to Drake. He headed straight for his mother's room, knocked twice on the door, and opened it.

"I was waiting for you to come," she said quietly.

"Just give me my mother. I want to talk to her," Silva said as he pulled a stool and sat in front of her. "Give me my mother now," he demanded.

"Fine," she said, her head twitching a bit before she refocused on Silva.

"Silva, my son," his mother said in a low voice, tears falling from her eyes. She stood up and immediately grabbed Silva in a tight hug.

"I can't believe all that she told me. I don't want to believe that our lives have been a lie. You, your sister— they can't be lies," his mother sobbed into his shoulder.
