ADAN
I don't even know where to start or how to say what's on my mind, but one thing is certain—I need to talk to someone. Someone who will listen without judgment, someone who won't make me feel worse than I already do.
As I pulled up to the family manor, I sent up a silent prayer, hoping with all my heart that Liam's mother wasn't home. She's the last person I want to see right now, let alone have a conversation with.
The house was very quiet when I stepped inside. I headed to the kitchen, thinking she might be there, but the space was empty, save for one of the staff members busy at the counter.
"Where's Grace?" I asked.
"She's in the gardens," the staff member replied with a polite nod.
I nodded back and left the kitchen, my steps slow as I made my way to the garden. I wasn't sure if I wanted to find her or just delay the inevitable.
