Chapter 5- System trial

{Fusion completion rate . . .99%}. Michael watched the black screen in his eyes that showed the completion rate of the fusion between him and the system.

He was back on the airship and was currently in a room waiting for the successful fusion but it was taking a long while.

'Wait Ankh system. Is that the name of this thing. And what's this introduction thing about. Do systems really do this?'. He scratched his head and turned his attention back to the screen.

'What is this system trial it's talking about again.' Suddenly, Michael saw a spatial gap open in the door of his room. It was small at first, like the size of a small window. Then it suddenly became big and was trying to swallow everything in the room...including Michael.

"What the hell is happening". He gripped the chair to avoid being sucked into the spatial gap, but it was too strong and after a short while of struggling, he fell in and the spatial gap closed.

He fell out of the gap from the sky and landed on the top of a tall tree canopy. The spatial gap above him closed. " Please, no don't..." He was still saying when the gap closed.

He looked around and saw he in a rain forest, but the forest looked like it was covered in blood. Even the tree he was hanging on too was covered in blood.

When he eventually got down, he turned around to see the environment he was thrown in. "Where am I?" He said in a low whisper.

"Like seriously what is happening". Michael stood up from the floor to dust his body was shocked when he saw what he was wearing.

He was wearing a purple suit with fine intricate carvings of gold and a black shirt inside.

'I was not wearing this before'. He said inwardly when he examined himself.

" Carvin". A young girl of similar age with Michael came running towards him. She had blonde her and was wearing a white dress with laces and gold shoes. She was a sight to behold in this disgusting forest.

"Why did you suddenly jump out of the ship. There are monsters down here, and we don't want to be late for your ceremony don't we". She went to hug Michael who was still very surprised.

He was frozen in shock at what was still happening. 'Did she just call me carvin'. He asked himself inwardly.

" Is there something wrong? ". The girl said when he did not move or say anything. She looked up to him to see his wandering gaze.

She was a head shorter than him with almond eyes and a very pretty face that men would die for. He decided to play it cool and answered her.

" Yes don't worry, am fine ". He patted her back as a sign for her to release him and she did with her face red. She hid her face and ran away. He followed her at a normal speed and saw the great ship that was waiting for them.

In modern times now, these type of ships were rare and no longer in use. They were old ships used when human technology first began its major development. 'So am somewhere in the past'. He said to himself and followed the girl into the ship were be saw several people waiting.

There were four people waiting by the side of the ship. Three guys and a girl. The blonde girl ran past the other girl and into the ship. The other girl swiftly followed behind with worry evident on her face.

On one of the guys face was a scrowl that showed his obvious dislike for him while the other two guys looked genuinely concerned.

"I did expect you'll actually jump down. You gave us all a scare, we thought you'd be injured and came came down to look''. One of the guys said with a concerned smile in his face while the other two were silent.

Michael didn't know what to say so he just nodded his head at them. He walked into the ship as he brushed past the guy who still had a scrowl on his face. He turned and saw him looking at him with a menacing gaze but he just ignored his for now and continued inside the ship.

He did not know what happened, but from the small he heard, he knew that he must've been forced to jump from the ship. When Michael also fell from the spatial gap.

Not sure how he ended up in his body though, but he knew it was part of the system trial. When he got to the cockpit. He saw the girl blushing while talking to the other girl.

He walked up to her and dragged her by her arm to a corner if the ship where they could not be heard.

" Where are you taking me". She said with a blushing face which he ignored and continued to drag her until they were some distance away from peoe

" What happened when I was away''. He waited to listen to her talk. She blushed for a while before telling him what had happened when he jumped down from the ship. He later asked her to explain everything from the beginning because he seems to have forgotten some things.

What he got from bed was that he was dated to jump from the ship while it was still flying to prove that he had strength and truly loved Cathleen, the girl who suddenly hugged him by Neil-the other guy with a scrowl on his face. After that he could more or less piece together the remaining pieces of the puzzle.

It turns out Michael--a.k.a carvin' was Cathleen's boyfriend but Neil loved Cathleen and is the brother of carvin. Neil is a bastard child but their father still allowed ll of them to live together for the sake that he loved all his sons. They were on their way to the annual ability awakening in the kingdom which was also presided by the priest of the Divine temple.

After this he doesnt know much and he did not want to go poking around as to arise suspicion.
