Chapter 418: Error

Seeing Hephaestus's displeased expression, Alexander could only shake his head helplessly.

"It's fine. When it comes to weapons, it's better to use something that feels right in your hands," he said casually.

Hearing this, Hephaestus didn't know how to respond.

"Even so, you could at least let me add some enchantments to your weapons," she suggested, clearly showing concern. As Hestia's only true friend, Hephaestus genuinely cared about her and, by extension, her Familia.

Alexander paused, suddenly recalling something important. She was right—if his equipment could be enhanced, even by a mere ten points, it would be a tremendous improvement.

With that in mind, Alexander dropped the polite pretense. He waved his hand, and a dazzling array of weapons and equipment clattered onto the ground.

Among them were items like the Fantasy Killer scythe, his first weapon, Sword of Rupture(EA), Excalibur, Rhongomyniad, Avalon, Clow Card, Rule Breaker…

The sight left Hephaestus utterly dumbfounded. She stared at the pile of artifacts as if struck by lightning.

"These... these are your weapons?" she stammered. "How is it even possible for anyone in this world to own such equipment?"

As an expert in craftsmanship, Hephaestus could immediately tell that each piece was extraordinary. With her trained eye, she recognized that none of them were ordinary. These were weapons of unparalleled power and complexity.

Turning her gaze to Alexander, she studied him in silence.

"What are you looking at me like that for?" Alexander asked, perplexed.

Hephaestus sighed deeply. "You're really just here to rub it in, aren't you?"

"What do you mean?"

"Look at these items! Do you think they can be casually enchanted? They're already flawless masterpieces, crafted as seamless wholes. Ordinary enchantments wouldn't work on them at all."

"But you're no ordinary person—you're the God of Craftsmen!" Hestia exclaimed. She had no idea that such perfect equipment existed, so much so that even Hephaestus struggled to improve them.

Hephaestus shook her head, her expression filled with resignation.

"Don't look at me like that. Without divine power, there's a limit to what I can do. If I still had my divine power, I could enchant most of these items."

"Most of them?" Alexander asked, raising an eyebrow. "So, there are some you can't enchant?"

Hephaestus pointed at the EA, Avalon, and Rhongomyniad.

"These three are exceptions. One is so overwhelmingly powerful that I can't tamper with it, another has multiple seals embedded that I can't break, and the last is suppressed by an invisible force that seems to prevent its full potential from being unlocked. With such equipment, there's nothing I can do."

Alexander was speechless.

"Well, never mind. Sorry for the trouble," he said, retrieving the weapons with a resigned shrug. But he made a mental note: if Hephaestus couldn't enhance them without divine power, he'd just have to find someone—or something—else who could.

After some hammering, Hephaestus gestured toward two completed items resting on her workbench.

"These swords called Nichirin Blades, I've strengthened them. As for the rest, return in three days." With that, she turned and disappeared into the depths of her forge, leaving the air still heavy with the scent of molten metal.

It was clear she hadn't slept well in days, and the sight of such overwhelming equipment had only added to her exhaustion.

As Hephaestus left, Hestia suddenly recalled something from an anime she had watched. She quickly shouted after her, "Hephaestus, don't wander around during the Monster Festival in a few days—it might be dangerous!"

"Huh?" Hephaestus stopped in her tracks, visibly startled.

"Since when could Hestia make prophecies?" she muttered to herself.

Still, she waved it off. "Alright, alright, I'll be careful," she replied casually before disappearing into her forge, where the sound of hammering soon echoed.

As Alexander and his group left, the sisters eagerly examined their newly acquired weapons.

For example, Shinobu's Nichirin Blade had undergone remarkable improvements. Previously, it could merely slice through iron like mud. Now, it was not only unbreakable but also significantly lighter and sharper. Shinobu estimated that her combat efficiency had increased by at least 30%.

Seeing them so happy, Alexander couldn't help but smile.

"Alright, let's celebrate tonight. Drinks are on me at the Hostess of Fertility!"

"Long live Alexander!" Everyone cheered, especially Hestia, whose eyes sparkled at the thought of a treat.

With their spirits high, the group headed toward the tavern, ready to enjoy a night of well-earned celebration.

Meanwhile, at the entrance of the dungeon, a group of figures emerged.
