Zhou Lungar was a smart young man, ever since he could remember he was heralded as the smartest by those around him. As such many came to feel naturally jealous of the boy so much to say they would even try to make an attempt on his life.
He was in such a situation right now, he was being chased by a group of boys from his college. He ran the fastest he could but it wouldn't be enough, nothing was enough.
He turned a corner and ran into an alleyway, scraping his feet past all the trash that had been left on the floor.
He was never the fastest so it was to no surprise that the bully's had caught up to him, and when they did the boy turned around to face his fate.
He took many punches from the group, by the end of the beating he was black and blue all over. It was already late at night when he had the opportunity to return home to rest for the night.
This night he felt numb, he had many numb nights in his life and tonight was to be no exception.
When he did eventually get home, he slumped down on his bed. He was seething with hatred and pain from the day that had just passed, he was too absorbed in his thoughts to notice his surroundings.
When he eventually opened his eyes he was met with a strange sight, then pain lots of it the boy flailed around trying to move but found he hardly could.
A loud crash was heard and the pain subsided, he found he could finally move at this opportunity he took the chance to look around.
He was in what he could assume was a basement, a very dark basement which was only lit by a small candle.
Above the candle say a musky mirror with the words 'death to them all' written in blood. Zhou was shocked what had happened here?, why was he hanging from the ceiling? and where the hell was he?.
Last he remembered he was sulking in his room how had he got here, and why was he hung from the roof.
Did he commit suicide?, his thoughts spun endlessly before he eventually snapped out of it and observed his surroundings better.
He took a second glance at the candle, there was a small pocketwatch next to it the watch shone with an ethereal radiance which was further exentuatied by the flame from the candle.
He took a furtive glance at the watch before approaching, the watch had him entranced he was pulled toward it and before he knew it his hand was gracing it's surface.
He looked up to the mirror and observed himself, he was not him anymore he was different. His looks had changed and so had his stature, he was once a small pudgy man who looked like he'd struggle going up the stairs. And now he looked like he could run a triathlon, the change was profound and Zhou did not know what had caused it. Or even where he was for that matter, his eyes traced over himself before landing on the the words enshrined in dry blood.
'strange'. he thought, what had happened here.
The boy was scared, time seemed to pause as he looked down at the pocket watch in his hand, he began to think what if this watch was what caused him to be hanged.
He touched the watch and then picked it up, he took a few moments to observe the trinket before resigning his thoughts. He did not know what to make of the situation so he simply decided to not. Some information is best kept hidden, who knows what possessing this kind of knowledge would entail for him.
So he simply picked the watch up and observed it's looks, it was good rimmed with silver entrails enscribed into its bronze plating.
his fingers traced over it and found themselves over the small knob that sat on its top, he eventually opened the watch to view its clockwork. The hands were bones, literally it was as if someone had ripped the bones from a small animal and had handicrafted them into clock arrows.
He pressed on the turner expecting the watch to work.
Instead the ground around him steadily shook as his surrounding began to blur, pieces of rubble began to fly and reform themselves into the roof which had came down on its self.
Zhou stood in shock, 'what the, what just happened' his mind raced as his thought drove into overtime.
All around Zhou time had been restored and the once broken roof had been reformed into its prior state.
even the noose which was tightly wrapped around his neck was now dangling from the roof empty.
the watch had rewound time!!.
