The Frost Giant Commander and Loki, peering from Asgard, were stunned. Loki's plans had not accounted for such a powerful opponent on Earth.
"Take him down!" the Frost Giant Commander barked, rallying his warriors. The Frost Giants charged as one, but Maverick's fiery steed shifted direction to confront them head-on.
"Form the iceberg!" the Commander shouted, gathering the collective power of his warriors. An enormous spiked iceberg materialized, blocking Maverick's path. The Commander smirked, confident that the human lacked the agility to dodge.
Maverick grinned darkly. "Who said I need to dodge?" He smashed straight through the iceberg, shattering it into shards. Emerging from the frozen mist, he swept through the Frost Giant ranks like a storm. The Commander, caught in disbelief, turned too late. With a final strike, Maverick cleaved him in two. The iceberg dissolved into vapor as the remaining giants fled in terror.
"Finish them! Don't let them escape!" Agent Coulson ordered. The agents rallied, emboldened by Maverick's overwhelming strength. With their morale boosted, they pursued the scattering Frost Giants.
Suddenly, a monitoring agent cried out, "Sir, I'm detecting a powerful energy signature heading our way!"
Before Coulson could respond, a brilliant rainbow-colored beam descended from the heavens, striking the ground in the Frost Giants' path. Thor's eyes lit up with recognition.
"It's the Bifrost!" he exclaimed. Turning to Jane Foster, he added, "Jane, this is Asgard's Rainbow Bridge!"
Jane's scientific curiosity flared. "The Einstein-Rosen Bridge?" She hurried to her equipment, eager to collect data.
The beam faded, revealing four armored figures: Sif and the Warriors Three. The burly Volstagg bellowed, "Thor! We're here to crush these Frost Giants!" Without hesitation, he charged into battle, axe raised high. His companions followed suit.
Thor's face broke into a wide grin. "You came!" He grabbed his weapon and joined the fray, ignoring Coulson's protests. Coulson sighed and shook his head. "Reckless as ever," he muttered.
From the sidelines, Tony Stark quipped, "Nice timing. Just like the NYPD." His sarcasm earned a few chuckles from the agents.
Meanwhile, Maverick guided his fiery steed back to his base of operations. Dismounting, he extinguished the flames and turned to Coulson. "Prepare for a decisive battle," he said. "Evacuate the townspeople immediately."
Coulson frowned. "Mr. Maverick, haven't we already won?"
Maverick gestured toward the Asgardians. "They don't bring victory. They bring destruction."
Without further explanation, Maverick barked orders to his team. "Frank, reload the ammunition. Tony, War Machine, and Peacekeeper, rest up. We'll need you fresh."
Frank nodded, but Rhodes and Rumlow hesitated. Coulson snapped, "Follow the man's orders!"
Reluctantly, the two complied. Maverick, meanwhile, called Ivan. "How close are you?"
"Landing at the nearby airport," Ivan replied. "By the way, you looked good out there. But why not use a sleek silver ride instead?"
"Because my specialty is life, not machinery," Maverick said dryly.
Ivan chuckled. "If you're so good at life, can you bless people like you do your horse?"
"Theoretically, but I need to study the effects first. Chilongma's been unusually lively."
"Let's hope the next enemy is worth the trouble," Ivan said. "I'm itching to show Loki what a real man looks like."
Maverick rolled his eyes. "Try not to get too excited."
Back on the battlefield, Sif approached Thor. "Thor, we're here to bring you back to Asgard."
Thor's expression darkened. "I can't. I killed my father."
Sif froze. "What? When?"
"Wait," Thor said, his confusion growing. "Father isn't dead?" Realization dawned on him. "Something's wrong."
Before anyone could respond, another rainbow beam struck the center of town. Emerging from the light was Loki, flanked by the frozen form of Heimdall.
"Kill Thor and those who aid him," Loki ordered, his voice cold and unyielding.
The earth shook as the Destroyer, a towering metal colossus, stepped forward. Standing over five meters tall and forged from Uru metal, it exuded a deadly, otherworldly aura. Its visor opened, unleashing a searing beam that obliterated everything in its path. Cars exploded, and fleeing townspeople were incinerated.
"This is madness!" Coulson shouted, rallying his agents to rescue survivors.
Tony launched a missile at the Destroyer, but it emerged from the explosion unscathed. The colossus retaliated, its beam narrowly missing Tony and igniting nearby buildings.
"We can't fight it here," Frank yelled. "Too many civilians!"
Maverick seized Thor. "We're moving the fight to safer ground," he said, flying toward his farm. Loki ordered the Destroyer to follow, and the battle shifted.
Thor struggled against Maverick's grip. "Let me go! If Loki wants me dead, let him do it. I won't let others suffer because of me!"
Maverick gritted his teeth. "We'll handle Loki. Just hold on."
Arriving at the farm, Maverick threw Thor down. "Stall for time," he shouted to his team. "Our trump card is on its way!"
Tony scowled. "Iron Man's just a distraction now?"
Volstagg, bruised but determined, charged the Destroyer with an axe. The machine swatted him aside effortlessly. The other Asgardian warriors fared no better. Tony and the others joined the fight, their combined firepower only slowing the colossus.
Overhead, several F-22s launched missiles at the Destroyer. The resulting explosions barely scratched its surface. In retaliation, the Destroyer shot down two jets, leaving the military scrambling.
"This isn't working," Tony muttered, dodging another beam.
"That's where I come in," Ivan's voice boomed as a massive battle suit crashed to the ground. Standing over three meters tall, it was armed with a vibranium shield and axe. Six arc reactors powered the monstrous machine.
Tony gaped. "Are you insane? Six reactors? One malfunction and you're toast!"
Ivan smirked, stepping out of his smaller suit. "Relax. I'm not inside."
The battle suit roared to life. Inside was Abomination, his snarling visage visible through reinforced glass. With a guttural roar, he charged the Destroyer. The clash of titans began as Abomination deflected the Destroyer's beam with his shield, advancing relentlessly.
The ground shook as the two giants traded blows. Abomination landed a devastating axe strike on the Destroyer's chest, exposing a glowing core. But the machine retaliated, healing its damage almost instantly.
"This thing regenerates?" Maverick muttered.
Abomination pressed the attack, slamming the Destroyer into the ground. With sheer brute force and cunning, he fought to contain the deadly machine. Meanwhile, Maverick and his team prepared their next move, determined to end Loki's reign of chaos.
