When you're lonely and you meet an empathetic friend, you treasure them especially.
Fang Lin really treasured her connection with Luo Yang.
Remembering his innocence, she giggled coyly and said, "Niu Zai, I want to ask you something."
Luo Yang blushed and responded, "What is it?"
"I heard you're highly skilled in medicine. I've been having ringing in my ears recently. Could you take a look for me?"
"Sure. Let me check your pulse first."
Both sat on the edge of the bed, and Fang Lin rested her hand on her thigh while Luo Yang felt her pulse.
Her legs were tightly pressed together without a gap, round and full of youthful exuberance that seemed to ripple out and could penetrate deep into one's bones, giving a tingling sensation.
After taking her pulse and referring to the "Shennong Scripture," Luo Yang knew why she was experiencing ringing in her ears and said, "It's due to excess internal heat rising which causes the ringing. I'll prescribe some herbal medicine for you, and you'll feel better soon. Please give me some paper and a pen."
Fang Lin pulled out a ballpoint pen and a notebook from the desk drawer and handed them to Luo Yang.
He quickly wrote out the prescription and handed it to her to review.
Looking at his bold and elegant script, she clicked her tongue in praise, "Niu Zai, your handwriting is beautiful!"
She examined the prescription, which read: "9g of Gentian Herb, 12g of Gastrodia Elata, 10g of Uncaria (added later), 12g of Achyranthes Bidentata, 10g of Scutellaria Baicalensis, 12g of Chrysanthemum, 12g of White Peony Root, 15g of Raw Rehmannia, 20g of Substitute Realgar Stone (pre-decocted), 9g of malt."
After reading, Fang Lin asked, "So, how much will it cost?"
Luo Yang waved his hands, "No charge."
Fang Lin was quite pleased upon hearing this, and thought to herself, "Meeting this talented young man is truly my good fortune!"
After thinking, she gratefully said, "When I'm better, I'll treat you to a meal."
Seizing the opportunity, Luo Yang saluted her prominent chest and smiled, "Okay then, I'll look forward to your good news."
While speaking, he stood up and added, "I should be going now."
"Have an apple before you leave."
"No need. Sister Fang, I'm leaving."
She got up to see him to the door, the two of them one after the other.
He opened the wooden door and was about to leave when he suddenly turned back and said, "Sister Fang, about the cucumbers, I'll either have my brother bring them over, or I'll bring them myself this evening. Our cucumbers are pretty big and sweet, you'll like them."
Fang Lin's cheeks flushed three shades redder, a hint of embarrassment surging in her bright eyes, she coyly said, "Alright. When I feel like having some, I'll let you know, and you can bring them over, okay?"
"You're not having cucumbers tonight?"
"Tonight? Eh, I still have one left, that should be enough."
"Having a few more as a late-night snack would be nice."
"Hey, didn't you say you were going to Qin Piao's house? Does she need something from you?"
Seeing Fang Lin's cheeks turning so red they seemed almost dripping, Luo Yang couldn't understand why she suddenly blushed so much. He glanced at her tenderly beautiful body, her pink face and neck contrasting with her fair skin, truly very captivating.
"I should be going now. Sister Fang, if you feel like having cucumbers, just let me know," Luo Yang said enthusiastically.
"Okay," Fang Lin nodded with a smile.
Luo Yang turned and looked up the stairs. Gazing at Luo Yang's ramrod-straight back, she thought to herself, "This young man is quite intriguing. I thought he knew about that kind of thing, but it turns out he's completely clueless. Then again, if he did know, I would have died of embarrassment. Haha, he even asked me if I wanted a cucumber; how could he dare to ask that? Haha. Are cucumbers even meant for eating?"
Until Luo Yang's figure disappeared from view, and only the sound of his descending footsteps remained, she stepped out to the corridor. Once he had descended, she watched him as he walked toward the Village Office's entrance, admiring his upright physique.
Luo Yang suddenly turned his head and looked at Fang Lin, seeing her waving at him, he waved back, wondering, "Do girls have a body fragrance all over, or is it just on their chests? Why do they smell so nice?"
Pondering this question along the way, yet unable to come up with an answer, he suddenly looked up and found himself already at Qin Piao's house.
He lightly tapped on the door with his finger and called out, "Sister Piao, are you home?"
The response quickly came from upstairs: "I'm here!"
Then came the sound of footsteps descending the stairs hurriedly, followed by the tap-tap of slippers approaching from a distance to the door, and with a click, the steel door swung open.
"You've finally arrived!"
Qin Piao stood behind the door, her hair pinned up with a few strands falling carelessly, adding an effortless charm to her unsettling allure. Her eyes and mouth were smiling, clearly excited.
Luo Yang slipped inside, and Qin Piao shut the door behind them.
"Sister Piao, I need to make a quick call to my sister; if she's at the bar, I'll take you there."
As he said this, he glanced at Qin Piao. She was dressed in a pink spaghetti strap dress, revealing a hint of her shoulders, and the proud curve of her bust softly hidden under the sheer fabric of the dress as if yearning to greet him.
"Sure. Come and sit, I bought some snacks especially for you," Qin Piao led the way.
As she walked, her waist swayed gently, and her rounded hips moved provocatively with her dress, alive and vibrant, the curves of her buttocks creating an alluring outline under her skirt, exuding a sensual aura.
Luo Yang took a few glances and felt his body temperature rising, his mouth dry. He licked his lips, yearning for a glass of ice water to cool down.
They reached the round dining table, where Qin Piao lifted the gauze cover and chirped, "I bought some snacks to accompany the drinks. I'm going to have beer with you. Look, a whole case of beer."
She gestured under the table.
On the dining table, there were roasted goose, spicy chopped fish head, cold seaweed salad, and peanuts—four appetizers wafting delicious aromas, whetting the appetite.
Luo Yang laughed and said, "Sister Piao, what made you think of drinking?"
Qin Piao replied in a coy voice, "I'm free today. I thought we could drink together to drown our sorrows. I'll be starting work soon and it won't be so easy to find time for drinking."
As she spoke, she swept a few stray strands of hair to the back of her ear and bent down to grab a can of beer. As she straightened her back, her buttocks seemed to writhe inside her dress, the seductive curves not ovbervat, but enough to fuel the imagination.
While she straightened her legs and bent at the waist, her round, full buttocks boldly asserted themselves, vibrant and smooth without being exaggerated, legs slightly parted as if unable to close completely, oozing youthful vibes.
Luo Yang smacked his lips, feeling his mouth dry and tongue parched, wanting to divert his gaze yet as if held by an invisible hand, he was unable to avert his eyes.
"Take a seat."
Qin Piao brought two cans of beer to the table, catching Luo Yang's gaze in a fleeting moment, and she smiled flirtatiously.
Caught in the excitement of the moment and unable to recover his composure, Luo Yang cast down his eyes as he sat down, his face and even his ears felt blazing hot.
Qin Piao acted as if nothing had happened, smiling as she popped open the can and handed one to Luo Yang.
"Try the spicy chopped fish head and see how it tastes."
As she spoke, she picked up a small piece of fish head with chopsticks and brought it up to Luo Yang's mouth.
"Sister Piao, I can do it myself," Luo Yang said, embarrassed yet smiling.
"What's there to be formal about? We're confidants. It's only right for me to serve you food," Qin Piao laughed playfully.
