Chapter 0143: The Proud Daughter of Heaven

Hong Jiaxin was also born into a martial arts family and had never heard of such a way of training, so she naturally harbored doubts. Hearing An Qin and the other giggling, she felt even more convinced that Luo Yang was mocking her.

"You can't see with your eyes, can you still strike back?" Hong Jiaxin complained.

"Then bind my eyes," Luo Yang responded earnestly.

Talking about reasoning could never compare to proving a point with facts. When he first started practicing Shadow Fist, he had grasped the first level of Listening to the Wind for Positioning within an hour and had broken through the second level of Body Moves with the Qi realm shortly afterward. It was just the third level that he hadn't yet fully understood. He had assumed others could easily learn it, too.

As a result, he had overestimated others' abilities.

Naturally, Hong Jiaxin wasn't convinced, so she personally wrapped Luo Yang's eyes with a towel. From her childhood to adulthood, she had never heard of anyone who could easily find their opponent's position while blindfolded.

"Come and attack me," Luo Yang said with a faint smile.

"Do you want Sister to make some noise for you?" Hong Jiaxin taunted.

She firmly didn't believe that Luo Yang could fight back while his vision was impaired, even if he was stronger. She considered herself agile enough to dodge and felt confident in, at the very least, not being defeated.

"Try not to let me know where you are. Make your move," Luo Yang urged.

Being called Hua Mulan at school was not without reason. Her legwork and punching were decent, and she could easily beat ordinary boys into a pig-headed mess.

With a cold laugh, Hong Jiaxin stealthily moved behind Luo Yang and swiftly reached out to pat his shoulder. Just when she was about to hit him, she saw his figure suddenly drift to the side. Before she could regain her composure, her shoulder was lightly tapped by his fingertips at an astonishingly quick speed, leaving her utterly unresponsive until it was too late.

"Class leader, what do you think?"

Luo Yang smiled and lifted the corner of his mouth.

Hong Jiaxin was both shocked and embarrassed, her pretty face blushed to her ears, angry at him for touching such a sensitive spot. As a top student, she always stood by the idea of not admitting defeat easily, and of course, she wasn't convinced. Biting her delicate red lips and holding back her anger, she moved around Luo Yang, waiting for another chance to strike.

This time, she chose to kick from Luo Yang's left side, thinking that perhaps she was too close to him the last time and that was why he managed such an accurate counter-attack. Kicking at his feet might catch him off guard.

She was about to kick him. Her foot moved swiftly towards his lower body.

She was almost certain to hit him, yet she saw his figure dodge abruptly once more. Before she could see clearly, her shoulder was tapped again, and her tender body shuddered sharply with frustration as her pretty face turned even redder. Raising her fine eyebrows, her fighting spirit was further aroused.

An Yuying and Qin Piao, who were watching, laughed together. They treated this teacher-student sparring match as if watching a game.

The sound of laughter made Hong Jiaxin even more intolerable. At Dongfeng Middle School, she was pride, success, respect. Other students admired and adored her when they saw her.

Here, it wasn't her at the center, but everyone gathered around Luo Yang instead, creating a significant psychological gap she couldn't accept at the moment. With added annoyance, she resolved to defeat Luo Yang and establish her authority.

"Class leader, still not convinced?" Luo Yang asked with a smile.

"Not convinced! Sister doesn't believe she can't beat you!" Hong Jiaxin retorted stubbornly.

Before her words had finished, she suddenly leaped behind him and kicked out fiercely, intending to kick him hard.

Luo Yang knew of her competitive spirit, and if An Qin and the other girl weren't watching, she might have verbally refused to accept defeat but wouldn't have pursued the matter further. But now, for the sake of face, she was all in and wouldn't admit defeat.

He had planned to let her succeed with one kick. Then she would feel a bit of pride, and naturally, she would cause less of a fuss. However, considering that without real skills, if she encountered a strong opponent in the future, she would naturally be defeated.

With that thought, Luo Yang decided it was better to be strict with his disciple. He felt a wave of Qi approaching and, following the flow, drifted to one side once again.

"Master, you are amazing!" Qin Piao cheered.

She and An Yuying gently clapped their hands, which of course was to praise Luo Yang. By implication, it also meant to say that Hong Jiaxin's skills were lacking.

At this moment, Hong Jiaxin, filled with indignation, had only one thought in her mind: to defeat him!

Listening to the onlookers cheering for Luo Yang made her feel even worse; after all, she had grown up surrounded by people who mostly praised her. She was the proud daughter of the heavens.

In an instant, Hong Jiaxin threw punches and kicks, launching a frenzied attack, but she couldn't even touch the hem of Luo Yang's garment.

She was unreconciled but powerless, her heart harbored an immensely strong belief, yet her body was not equally powerful, resulting in her mind being willing, but her flesh being weak. Luo Yang was right in front of her, no matter how she attacked, she just couldn't hit him.

A surge of frustration welled up from her chest and rushed to the top of her head, making Hong Jiaxin feel dizzy.

She was never one to admit defeat, the kind of woman who would rather die standing than kneel and beg for mercy. Even knowing she couldn't beat Luo Yang, she couldn't accept it in her heart. With a delicate shout, she leaped toward him again.

By now, she had largely lost her reason.

From her movements and her delicate shouting, it was clear she was no longer sparring but fighting for her life.

Luo Yang's figure swept past her and floated behind her. With an open and close of his arms, he tightly embraced both her hands and body.

"Class monitor, calm down," Luo Yang advised.

"I still want to fight you! I don't believe you can dodge by chance every time!" Hong Jiaxin struggled, but she couldn't free herself.

"Class monitor, my martial arts weren't achieved in a day either," Luo Yang consoled.

In fact, his Shadow Fist had been mastered in a matter of hours. If he told the truth, it would probably infuriate Hong Jiaxin to death.

Indeed, having heard Luo Yang speak of the hardships of martial arts training, and with Sister Piao and An Qin coming over to mediate, Hong Jiaxin gradually calmed down.

An Yuying helped Luo Yang untie the towel wrapped around his eyes, and seeing him still holding Hong Jiaxin, jealousy surged within her. She pouted her red lips and stared at the two with a sense of melancholy.

Qin Piao saw this scene and couldn't help but laugh inwardly, though it was not suitable for her to say anything.

Hong Jiaxin's pretty face was red and pouting, her lips tightly closed as she still breathed hurriedly. Although she was more rational now, she felt even less reconciled, only thinking about how she could defeat Luo Yang.

"Master, come and teach me and Yuying to practice the Horse Stance," Qin Piao pleaded sweetly.

"Just practice as I've told you before," Luo Yang said.

Only then did he notice An Yuying's lips pouted so high, her eyes brimming with thick jealousy.

Luo Yang then let go of Hong Jiaxin and laughed, "Sister Piao, Sister An, practice the Horse Stance, and I will check if your movements are correct."

As he glanced at their full and graceful figures, he felt invigorated, and teaching them martial arts all night wouldn't tire him.

While Luo Yang talked with Sister Piao and An Qin, his back was turned to Hong Jiaxin.

Hong Jiaxin was stifling her grievance and discomfort, and seeing an opportunity, she gently kicked Luo Yang from behind. Satisfied with hitting him, she finally smiled contentedly.

In her view, this also slightly salvaged her dignity.
