Chapter 0545: Inviting to Dinner

Luo Yang hurried a few steps forward.

"Sister Tan, did you wear perfume?" Luo Yang sniffed.

"No, what's up?" Tan Shengmei denied.

He just wanted to ask for her help with something, starting the conversation casually.

"Sister Tan, we're about to go have dinner," Luo Yang said.

Usually, when Luo Yang invited her for a meal, she would agree.

"Where are we eating?" she asked.

"You pick the restaurant you like. Sister Tan, I'm inviting you to help me with something," Luo Yang changed the topic.

In fact, he could have asked someone else for help; it was just convenient to ask her.

It would be perfect to handle the business first and then go eat.

"I knew it, there's no such thing as a free lunch. I'd better not eat. The kind of favors you ask for are usually not good," Tan Shengmei joked.

She had guessed correctly.

Although the task wasn't too troublesome, there might be a slight risk involved.

"Sister Tan, I sincerely invite you to dinner. It doesn't matter whether you help or not," Luo Yang spread his hands and smiled.

What he said was also true.

It wouldn't make a difference if someone else did the task; asking her was purely a matter of convenience.

"I want a new apartment. Help out a bit financially, and I'll help you," she smiled slyly.

She was simply looking for a discount.

Luo Yang knew the real estate developers; this task was relatively easy to manage.

He had the means to help her.

"Sister Tan, how big do you want the apartment to be?" Luo Yang asked.

When he said this, Tan Shengmei's eyes lit up with joy.

It wasn't that Tan Shengmei didn't have a place to live; she just didn't want to live with her parents.

Living at home, she felt an invisible pressure.

If it came to food and shelter, she had nothing to regret.

But she had reached marriageable age, and her parents wanted to see grandchildren.

And Tan Shengmei wasn't ready to get married yet, or rather, she hadn't met her Mr. Right.

Thus, she and her parents disagreed on the matter of marriage.

Every two days, a small talk; every three days, a discussion.

After being talked to so much, Tan Shengmei grew tired of it.

She knew her parents meant well, but their constant nagging made her very annoyed.

In her view, marriage should be about finding the right person, not just casually picking someone to be a companion.

After all, marriage could easily last decades.

Her parents had met through a traditional matchmaker.

In other words, her views on romance were different from her parents'.

She also tried to convince her parents to let her date freely.

But her parents wouldn't let go and kept trying to set her up with suitors.

Every time they pressed her to marry, she got annoyed.

She just wanted to move out for more freedom.

As for finding a boyfriend, she felt it was better to let things take their course.

She had friends around her now, sharing life and entertainment, leading a full and happy life.

The last time she'd learned Luo Yang knew real estate developers, the idea of buying an apartment had sparked in her mind.

If the price was reasonable and the location was also good, she would make the purchase.

"Sister Tan, when I make a fortune, I won't mind giving you an apartment," Luo Yang generously declared.

He wasn't a stingy person.

If he made a fortune, he really might give her an apartment.

"Then, what size apartment will you give me?" Tan Shengmei flirtatiously asked.

"Three bedrooms and two living rooms, is that sufficient?" Luo Yang asked.

An apartment costs at least several hundred thousand.

Luo Yang's Beauty Stream business was growing bigger and bigger; soon, a day's sales might earn enough to buy an apartment.

"Then it's settled, three bedrooms and two living rooms," Tan Shengmei joyfully declared.

Mo Shuo, three bedrooms and two living rooms, or even one bedroom and one living room, Tan Shengmei felt she had scored, since it would be free.
