Chapter 1: The Epic Fail Flash Mob

Min Soo Hyun stood in the campus quad, surrounded by his "loyal" friends, Joon oh and Sung-min. They were all wearing matching "Mi Kyung Forever" t-shirts, and Soo Hyun was holding a boombox.

"Okay, guys, remember the plan," Soo Hyun said, trying to sound confident. "We dance, Mi Kyung notices me, and I become the coolest guy on campus."

Joon oh raised an eyebrow. "And what makes you think this will work?"

Soo Hyun grinned. "Because I've been practicing my moves in front of the mirror for weeks!"

Sung-min chuckled. "Dude, you look like a dad at a wedding."

Soo Hyun ignored them and pressed play on the boombox. The music started, and they launched into their choreographed dance routine.

Or, at least, they tried to.

Soo Hyun tripped over his own feet, Joon oh sighed in embarrassment , and Sung-min did the chicken dance instead of the actual moves.

Mi Kyung walked by, looked at them with confusion, and shook her head.

Soo Hyun face turned bright red. "Well, that was a disaster."

Sung min patted him on the back. "Don't worry, Soo Hyun. There's always the next epic fail!"

Soo Hyun grinned, feeling a bit embarrassed but also relieved. "Hey, at least we tried, right?"

Joon oh playfully rolled his eyes. "Yeah, and now the whole campus knows you're a total dork, Soo Hyun."

Soo Hyun chuckled and shrugged. "Hey, being a dork is my superpower!"

The trio decided to head to the cafeteria for lunch, still chuckling about their failed flash mob. As they walked, Soo Hyun couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed. He had been hoping to impress Mi Kyung, but now he just felt silly.

In the cafeteria, they met up with their friends, Yoon ah and Hye-min, who were already seated at a table. "Hey, guys! What's with the matching t-shirts?" Yoon ah asked, eyeing their "Mi Kyung Forever" shirts.

Soo Hyun hesitated, unsure how much to reveal. "Uh, just a little...project we were working on."

Hye-min raised an eyebrow. "A project that involves dancing like dads at a wedding?"

The group erupted into laughter again, and Soo Hyun couldn't help but join in. Maybe this day wouldn't be a total loss after all.

After lunch, Soo Hyun headed to his next class, feeling a bit more lighthearted. As he walked into the classroom, he spotted Mi Kyung sitting in the back, looking as pretty as ever. Soo Hyun's heart skipped a beat, but he quickly looked away, not wanting to draw attention to himself.

The class dragged on, with Soo Hyun finding it hard to focus. He kept thinking about his failed flash mob and wondering what he could do to impress Mi Kyung next.

Class ended and he decided to return to his dorm. As he entered the dorm room, he was greeted by the chaos that was his roommates. Sung-min was playing video games on the couch, Yoon-ah was trying to study but kept getting distracted by her phone, and Joon-oh was... well, Joon-oh was trying to cook something in the kitchen but it smelled like it was burning.

Soo Hyun shook his head, laughing. "What's going on here?"

Sung-min paused his game. "Just a typical day, bro!"

Soo Hyun chuckled and made his way to his own room, closing the door behind him. He flopped onto his bed, letting out a heavy sigh.

Just as he was about to relax, his phone buzzed. He hesitated, wondering who it could be. His heart sank as he saw the message from his dad: "Need money for business. Send it ASAP."

Soo Hyun felt a familiar knot in his stomach. He had been dealing with his dad's financial demands for years, ever since his parents got divorced. He felt like he was shouldering the burden alone.

He rubbed his temples, trying to ward off the headache that was coming. Why did his dad always do this? Couldn't his dad see that he was struggling too?

Soo Hyun took a deep breath and tried to shake off the sadness. He couldn't let his dad's issues weigh him down. He had his own life to live.

But as he lay there, he couldn't shake off the feeling of responsibility, of duty. He felt trapped.

And that's when he heard a knock on the door...
