Chapter 167: Surveillance

As Li Dong was misleading Shen Qian, Zhang Qing was at home flipping over tables.

"Li Dong! You've got guts!"

Zhang Qing was seething with rage. This nouveau riche Li Dong dared to challenge him. This was far from over!

Not only did Li Dong win the car, but now he even had the audacity to auction it off. If this got out, where would Zhang Qing put his face?

Niu Meng, lounging on the sofa and yawning, was visibly annoyed. He usually didn't get up before the afternoon, but being summoned by Zhang Qing so early had already tested his patience.

Especially knowing the issue started with that little lowlife last time, Niu Meng's face showed clear frustration. "Qing Ge, if it were me, I would have dealt with him already. Why waste time talking to him?"

Niu Meng's point was that the call should never have been made.

Zhang Qing felt a twinge of regret. If he hadn't offended Hu Sichen last time, he wouldn't be in this situation now.

Hearing Zhang Qing's reluctance, Niu Meng scoffed, "Qing Ge, you're still too straightforward. Leave this to me, and I guarantee within ten days or so, he'll be begging us. Niu Meng was quite confident, but Zhang Qing was hesitant at first.

Though he wanted to deal with Li Dong, Zhang Qing didn't want to get involved in unsavory activities. He wasn't as unscrupulous as Niu Meng.

After a moment of hesitation, Zhang Qing asked, "It won't get out of hand, will it?"

Niu Meng, unconcerned, replied, "What's there to fear from dealing with a small-time crook? If you keep worrying about everything, you'll never get anything done."

Though Zhang Qing was still a bit uneasy, he finally nodded in agreement, thinking of the Huafu land.

On July 20th, Qi Fangfang and her group embarked on their nationwide travel.

After seeing them off from the station, Li Dong let out a long sigh.

Seeing his relieved expression, Qin Yuhan couldn't help but laugh, "There's no need to be so relieved. If Fangfang saw this, she'd be furious."

Li Dong rolled his eyes and said irritably, "If she had any sense, she would have left long ago. She said she would stay for three to five days, but she ended up staying for ten days. If it weren't for Zhou Yue wanting to leave, Fangfang might have stayed for the whole summer."

If Qi Fangfang and the others didn't leave soon, Li Dong was prepared to kick them out himself.

A few women monopolizing his wife left him alone at home. What kind of logic was that?

Qin Yuhan chuckled but agreed that it was quite possible.

When Qi Fangfang was about to leave, she still looked reluctant, saying there were several places in Pingchuan she hadn't visited. If Zhou Yue hadn't dragged her, she might have stayed a few more days.

Once they got in the car, Li Dong asked, "Now that Qi Fangfang and the others have left, are you going back to Wanyuan?"

Hearing Li Dong mention going back, Qin Yuhan felt a surge of happiness.

Returning meant that Wanyuan was also her home, and she was the lady of the house. That feeling was different.

Though Qin Yuhan wanted to return to Wanyuan to check on things, she shook her head, "My parents are at home, so it's not convenient."

Li Dong was speechless. First, Qi Fangfang and the others caused trouble, and now he had to consider her parents. When would this end?

But Li Dong had a plan. He thought for a moment and said, "I'll handle it. I'll have Uncle Qin and Aunt Yang take care of some business in Dongping. They won't be back for ten days or half a month."

Qin Yuhan gave him a sideways glance but didn't refuse.

Li Dong knew she had given her consent and was overjoyed. Finally, he had the chance to spend time alone with his wife.

Thinking about the next few days, Li Dong started considering whether he should call Sun Tao back to oversee Yuanfang, so he could be freed up.

Sun Tao had been on vacation for a month. His leg should be almost healed by now, right?

Li Dong thought about it and decided to call and check. Sun Tao had enjoyed his vacation long enough and should return.

Just as he was about to start the car, Li Dong suddenly frowned, glancing at the rearview mirror without speaking.

Noticing his sudden silence, Qin Yuhan asked, "What's wrong?"

Li Dong withdrew his gaze and smiled, "Nothing. Just remembered there's some company business I haven't handled. Come with me to the company."

"I'd rather not go. I wouldn't be of much help. If you're busy, go ahead. I'll take a taxi back later." Qin Yuhan said, preparing to get out of the car.

Li Dong quickly stopped her, "It's better if you come with me. I'm not in the mood to go alone. It's not a big deal, just a few things to take care of. I'll take you back as soon as we're done. Besides, you'll be alone if you go back."

Seeing Li Dong's insistence, Qin Yuhan didn't refuse. She also wanted to spend a bit more time with him.

As they drove, Li Dong sent a few text messages. After sending them, he sighed with relief.

Once Li Dong finished, Qin Yuhan said, "It's best not to text or call while driving. It's too dangerous."

Li Dong smiled and agreed. Out of the corner of his eye, he glanced at the rearview mirror, a hint of darkness in his gaze.

When they arrived at the Global Tower, Li Dong didn't go to the parking lot but parked right in front of the building.

The security guard was about to speak up to stop him when Zhou Haidong, with a group of people, came forward to meet him.

Seeing that it was Yuanfang's people and Li Dong's car, the security guard recognized him as the boss of Yuanfang. After a moment of consideration, he chose not to intervene.

Li Dong waited until Zhou Haidong approached and then let out a sigh of relief, taking Qin Yuhan out of the car.

Once out, Li Dong told Qin Yuhan, "Go upstairs first. I need to have a word with Old Zhou. I'll join you shortly."

Qin Yuhan, who knew Zhou Haidong as Li Dong's driver, greeted him with a smile and then went upstairs.

As soon as Qin Yuhan left, Li Dong's expression turned cold. He said quietly, "The black Honda following us has been tailing me all day. Find a way to get the driver and the people inside. I want to see who's trying to mess with me!"

Zhou Haidong nodded and didn't look in that direction but whispered a few words to Zheng Long and the others.

The group then dispersed casually.

Seeing their well-coordinated actions, Li Dong didn't give any more instructions. He stood by the car with Zhou Haidong and lit a cigarette.
