[Gian, wake up!]
Again, Z's voice which Gian began to recognize, instantly made Lux's beautiful eyes open. Usually, Gian felt sluggish when he woke up in the morning and took a few minutes to gather his consciousness back. However, Lux's response was quite quick. He easily sat up after sleeping for a long time without feeling dizzy, although his eyes were a little red.
"Good morning, Young master Lux," greeted Tedo as he opened the door of the unlocked room.
"Good morning. Hem, so... you can easily go in and out of my room without having to knock, huh?" asked Lux as he bent his right leg and let his left leg straighten on the bed.
Tedo looked nervous as he felt insinuated. "I'm sorry, Young master. It's just that, you asked for it. Did... you forgot?" asked Tedo as he stood firmly beside the stainless shelf containing some fruit and clear glasses filled with drinks.
"Can you remind me again? Apparently, my consciousness is still stuck on the roof of the room," Lux replied casually as he looked at the chandelier in his room. Tedo smiled slightly.
"At that time you said not to lock the door to the room. That's because, if you need help, someone can come quickly. If it's locked, you have to open it first. Yes, if you are in a condition to do so, otherwise, the door has to be forcefully broken down. As a result, the door gets damaged," Tedo explained.
"It seems that you spoke long enough just to explain the reason why the door was not locked," Lux said lazily.
Tedo smiled. "That was your longest speech during my time as a servant here, Young master. If I'm not mistaken... when you were 9 years old."
Suddenly, Lux's eyes widened. "9 years old? You've been a servant since I was little?"
"Since you have not been born, Young master. That said, I am actually your mother's servant. Mrs. Lora Magenta. I became a servant in this family after your mother married Mr. Maximo," he explained.
Gian was stunned, but nodded in understanding. His eyes then scanned the surroundings. There were no pictures or paintings of his mother and father, or even of him and his four older sisters. Strange, it was really strange. Gian began to realize, if there was something to hide in that family.
"I brought you a morning snack before breakfast, as usual. Supplements to keep you fit and warm water," Tedo said as he pushed the shelf of food to the side of the bed.
Tedo handed Gian a glass of water with a slice of lemon. Gian quickly gulped it down because he was thirsty. Tedo was stunned to see his young master so excited. He who daily served Lux, could clearly see that drastic change.
Just as Gian was about to pick up some fruit, he suddenly felt his stomach growl. He looked at Tedo suspiciously, but the Osiris family butler had a flat face.
"Ugh!" he complained as he quickly ran to the bathroom. "Was I poisoned?" he asked suspiciously as he sat on the toilet.
[Warm water drunk after waking up in the morning is good for digestion. Lux Osiris is a man who eats healthy food, not fast food like you. He dislikes food that has been cooked and then reheated. Everything must be fresh. He doesn't drink fizzy and packaged drinks to maintain his health, including factory-made snacks]
Gian gaped. Very different, definitely different. The types of food, drinks, and routines Lux did were not the same as him. For Gian, this was the hardest adaptation than the missions given by Z. After he removed all the waste from his stomach, Gian returned to the room where Tedo was still standing preparing something for him.
"Please, Young master," Tedo said as he handed over the apple slices that had been placed on a small plate.
Gian saw Tedo covered his hands with plastic gloves to keep them hygienic. Honestly, Gian hasn't done that in his entire life. He ate apples just as they were washed, never cut into what he thought were perfect pieces. He felt that, for certain skills, Tedo was better than him. Tedo's eyes were busy watching Lux's movements as he saw his young master eating voraciously.
"Apparently, your appetite has increased, Young master," said Tedo and handed him a plate filled with banana slices.
"Oh, has my appetite decreased lately?" asked Lux as he accepted the plate.
Tedo looked glum. Gian could see the change in expression on his face.
"Please excuse me. If you need anything, just call," he said with a smile and walked away.
"I need something. Stay here, Tedo," Lux said, causing the waiter to stop in his tracks. "Close the door and lock it," he ordered. Tedo looked nervous, but did as he was told. Gian gestured for Tedo to sit beside him. However, Tedo chose to stand. "You know a lot about me, don't you?" Tedo nodded slowly. "I want, from now on, you to be my personal assistant."
Tedo widened his eyes. "You already have Marbella."
"She's my manager, not my personal assistant. I prefer to have men by my side, not women. They are troublesome and demanding," Lux grumbled with an annoyed face.
"Yes, I can understand that. Maybe ... because the relationship with your four sisters is less harmonious," Tedo said with a downcast look, but then he immediately covered his mouth with one hand. He slipped up!
Gian smiled wryly. "Well, now you know, the reason why I made you my personal assistant? You shouldn't have to ask, Tedo."
The forty-year-old man gulped, he looked tense, but nodded then. "It's just that, it requires permission from Lord Maximo to let me be your personal assistant, Young master."
"Hem, apparently, my father is very powerful, huh? He controls everything. It's good if that's the case. I'll meet him today. If Marbella comes, tell her to wait in the dining room. I'll catch up," Gian pleaded and stabbed all the banana slices with a fork, then stuffed them into his mouth in one mouthful.
"Yes, Young master," Tedo replied amazed that all the bananas could fit into Lux's mouth, even though it made his cheeks bulge like a frog. Tedo then went out of the room and closed it after making sure Lux drank the supplement.
In Lux Osiris' wardrobe room.
"Z?"
[Yes?]
"Make sure I complete one of the missions so that my family gets the reward. They need the money," Gian said, dressed in the formal attire of a young executive.
[That's my job]
Gian stared at his new figure who was so dashing in clothes that he could not buy. His purple hair looked shiny with a 'Two Blocks' style that made him even more dazzling. This time, Gian covered his athletic body and chose to dress modestly considering that his father was a respected person.
"Look at you, Lux. If you live on Earth, I'm sure you will become a famous Hollywood actor. Unfortunately, you chose to become a businessman and keep to yourself. What's wrong with you?" asked Gian shaking his head, but then his forehead wrinkled. "Or... what's wrong with Luna World?"
Gian walked out of the wardrobe room to the window. He pulled back the curtains and saw the sun shining just like on Earth. He wondered, would the moon remain pink tonight?
"Why does Lux always close the curtains? He seems to like the darkness. What a strange person," grumbled Gian who then tied all the curtains and made the room brightly lit. He opened the window to let the morning air into his room. Gian could feel the cool breeze in the morning which made his smile grow.
"Z. I want to answer about the difference between Luna's world and Earth," he said as he looked out of the window, to see the scenery which to him seemed extraordinary. Lux's room was on the second floor of a total of four floors in the entire spacious building.
[What's your answer?]
"The entertainment world in this place is like the 1900s. It's old-fashioned. I knew that because of the history lessons in school about the development of technology and culture. I see, the technology and types of vehicles used in the world of Luna, are almost the same as on Earth before I was thrown into the sea. However, there is something wrong with the way people in the Luna world market or promote a product," Gian replied enthusiastically as he approached the shelf of food. Honestly, he was still hungry.
[Details]
"Unlike on Earth, where almost every intersection, almost every shop on the side of the road, they put up billboards with photos of humans as models or digital boards in the form of videos so that they have a lively impression. Posters, billboards, brochures, and the like, people on Earth make them feel real with cool graphic details. However, in this place, it's all inanimate text and images and simple graphics. It did look pretty and had a modern impression, but that was because of the lights. As if, the role of humans in the entertainment world is not needed," continued Lux who was reluctant to eat again because of all those shelves, filled with fruit.
BIB!
Instantly, a large mirror as tall as Lux's body displayed a scene. Gian's smile brightened instantly when he saw his family. He saw his younger sister Rin, running up to his mother with an envelope. Camela, who was mowing the lawn with a pair of scissors because she had to sell the lawnmower to pay off her debt, looked confused when Rin handed her the thick brown envelope.
"Oh! Where did you get that?" asked Camela, staring intently at her daughter.
"I found this envelope in my bicycle basket. I opened it and saw that there was money inside," Rin said, causing Camela to open the envelope immediately.
Gian's eyes were glued to his mother's movements when he found a paper inside the envelope. Camela looked nervous as she read it.
"I once owed Marcos Everest. I'm giving it back to you because I know you need it."
Camela was stunned. She ran out into the street to see who had left the envelope of money. Rin followed her mother and looked at her closely.
"Is the money for us?" she asked hopefully.
"It seems so, Rin. Oh, this is truly a miracle. Since yesterday, good things have always come to our family!" replied the mother who then hugged her daughter tightly.
Gian smiled with his eyes downcast. He was so happy to be able to help his mother, even though his heart ached because they didn't know that he was the one who made it happen.
[Remember your words, Gian. Penance. Think of it as a fraction of the money your mother has spent on your life]
"You're right. My mother's sacrifice can never be repaid with that money even if I complete all the missions in this system. That's because, she did it willingly out of love for me," Gian replied feeling guilty for letting his mother bear that burden alone.
[Therefore, you are here to help her. Our system has many sayings. It is better to give than to receive. Kindness that is given does not need to be shown off. Enough systems, you and God only know]
"Wow, that's quite a punchline. Where did you quote it from?" Gian asked in surprise, but Z didn't answer. "Besides Lux, you are also full of mystery, Z. Someday, I will uncover your true self. You'll see," Gian said irritably and then stepped out while pushing the shelf containing the food and drinks that Tedo had brought earlier.
Who would have thought, what Gian did, made Marbella spit out her orange juice because she saw the young master in the palace-like house, acting like a servant.
"Young master! Why did you push this thing here? Just leave it in the room. I'll get it," Rowi asked frantically as he ran to Lux.
"No big deal. I pushed it and used the elevator to get down here. I didn't lift him or take the stairs down. No need to exaggerate," Lux replied casually then sat in front of Marbella who was still gawking at him. "Yes, I know what you're thinking. I'm handsome, cool and charming. Thank you, Marbella," Lux said and picked up the crystal glass filled with juice.
Marbella looked confused, but nodded later. "So... what are your plans when you meet with our clients? You better have prepared a good excuse because they are really disappointed, Young master Lux," said Marbella who got a smile from Lux while slicing her egg roll.
"Should I tell you?" replied Lux which made Marbella again open her mouth wide.
