Welcome to the Frosty sky resort

[Season 7 – Ruby and her friends just entered the kingdom of Atlas.]

The flying craft whit the party finally landed on the docking bay at Atlas city. [In original they got uneasy and instead to arrive at floating Atlas, they decide to go down to Mantle bellow. But for now, they were at the foot of the academy at the top of the floating island.]

And as they touch down, they start to get out, because there was no point to stall on board.

First one to step out was of course: Yang. Whit her usual bad-ass confidence, she look back at Blake when she pop up from the door. She was making one of her (dad joke?) puns saying something like- 'What ever they throw at us, we will face it whit the bang!', --a~and as she make another step, (still grinning from making a pun) she finally look forward where she going. She suddenly cancel another step as 'somebody' right in front of her, aimed an armed military class rifle-gun directly at her face from clear point blank distance. (The gun produce ready to shot sound.) [Armed and ready] Still grinning she pause/(froze?) to process what just happened. It was not for the first time; that she got welcomed by a gun pointed at her, but now she directly stared to the black hole of a gun barell.

Silent cat-girl Faunus Blake, who was walking right behind Yang and was (staring) and (smiling softly) at her (combat) partner, as they disembarked from the craft; only now look forward to see whats going on… Her smile was gone in instant, as her eyes got wide, eye pupils shrink into peas, her cat ears clap down to her head and her face in generally showed a signs of terrors.

It was because… the craft and the docking bay were in half circle surrounded by Atlasian soldiers in they high-tech armors and every single one of them had they rifle ready and pointed forward.

Second pair was Ron and Nora. Boy, as soon as he saw the situation, he stayed calm. He probably got into conclusion, that he will not deal whit this shit. Instead of any statement, or combat provoking action, he chose to reach for the palm of the girl next to him. Not sure if he already was using his semblance to hide his and her presence, or he was just slipping under the threat radar.

On contrast the girl, as soon she saw the (welcome party) got onto the edge to get fire up for the upcoming battle. But, as soon she feel that the boy taken her hand into his; her focus was swiftly fully redirected at him and she (happily) let him to pull her over. To make room for other passengers, the duo step to the side, where they just silently observed the situation.

Meanwhile; a Blake swiftly found a cover behind Yang back, worriedly starting over that blonde shoulder.

Some of the guards noticed that she is not just a Faunus, but acting 'suspiciously'; So they aimed theirs rifle-guns at her.

But they shall not done that, because it ignited a response on certain brute, whose eyes pupils turn to bloody [dragon like] red, as if she was going into berserk mode. Her true tank semblance allows her to turn intake [collected] damage and use it in power up mode to made spectacular finishing move. But, that only come when her hair (ignite?) with overflowing power. And she was not far from that point. So she bark at them: "Hey!! Backward back!!"

We shall not forget that elite huntsman Qrow who tactically chose not to get out as the first one, but decide to blend in the middle. The moment when he glanced at whats going on, he hasty march to the center of incident. Ha make his stand next to Yang, defusing her explosion by placing his hand or her shoulder. As he make one step further forward, glancing at the guards, he decide to put this scuffle [brawl] into an end. "Hey, palls! Are you lost yours minds? Did all of you already forget what they saw at the semifinals on the tournament? Or you just panicking because you saw it? And the only thing that you actually can pull out of sleeves are only an empty provocation? Those thing of yours, will only make her mad. Do you really want to push her self-control over the edge? Because you shall already to know how bad it will end for any of you."

The guard that was most in front who was taken aback by (strong presence?) of the adult hunter, (or just realize that he is the first one standing in line, to received an opening punch), asked in half intention a rhetorical question: 'Whats going on?'

Of course that was like a throwing a challenge glove for the huntsman and teacher whit hair of the color of crow. "Whats going on?! Hey, pall!: I don't know what you thinking, but the thing is that bluff whit you tin toy gun, will only manage to make her angry. Don't you realize that she is the current vice champion? Or you just panicked in front of the real beast? Then be aware that on this world of Remnant, lives even bigger beasts that she is. What will do when you meet one of those? Use a grenade to dig a hole?"

This his (intervention?) got under the skin of the blonde whit cat hanging on her shoulder, as she go derailed from her intentions. She look kinda (flustered?). No, for a moment she looked like a girl who will start blushing because a man stand for her. As her fingers become restless she starts to play whit a part of her fluffy blonde hairs. "She~es [shee-shee-shee?], dam uncle. It was a praise, or insult?"

But that man redirected his teacher level schooling at her. "You! Stop being so dam straight forward! That's what in first place make you to be so easy to trick and manipulate. Dint 'Tail' [her dad] don't school you about this? Dint he doesn't drill into you the importance to look for other solutions that punching you way through the middle?"

.

She even averted her eyes as she found it hard to talk back to him. "Ye~es?-- But how did you expect from me, to go around the obstacles, when there is nowhere to evade." Without intention she used her thumb to point at the girl handing on her shoulder. (That girl notice the gesture and blushed.) "Anyway,-- What do you expect from me to say to them, when they just picking up a fight? You know that talking out of the fight was never a strong ability of this family."

He genuinely place his thumb and point finger under his chin. "Let me thing… Oh... Try something like this: Boy, do you hitting on me? Because that's a smaller caliber that I am used to."

For a second, the black cat look like she will cough-out/ spit-out some saliva. Then whit a red face she glanced at the huntsman then at the gun in the hands of the guards and then back at her teammate.

Next who was disembarking the craft right after Qrow was trio of John, Oscar and granny Maria, when those two help the elderly to get out of the craft. They were observing whats going for a moment, but granny as retired huntsman decide to voice her wisdom as she press her weight on her walking stick. "Well my dear, if we finally mastered the grasping of they attention; you can start whit some facts and tell them that you are the finalist of Remnant junior combat tournament. That shall be enough footing for asking them to reconsider they chances of success. Anyway when we are on it, we shall probably mentioned that the combat odds are heavily not on they side."

For some reason it resonated quite well whit the Qrow. "Right I am the only active huntsman whose XP's dwarf every one here."

But granny clear her throat. "Ehm! Let me rejuvenate a few decades and I guarantee you, that I will (in an old fashion style) wipe the floor whit any challenger."

He roll his eyes around as he realize that he forget to be clear. "I said only active huntsman."

.

The guard in front got impatient facing this absurdity. "Are you mocking us!? We have guns!"

But Qrow glanced at him, pointing his finger on the rifle-gun. "Pall! Get a hint already! I telling you this entire time, that yours guns have to little caliber and fire rate to be a consider a serious threat. Nuisance? Yes. But hardly, seen as you winning card."

Some soldiers exchange glances. But then... As if it was a call to make an entry into this scene: Everyone noticed that something heavy and clunky, that was stamping the ground, was approaching this position. It was one of the Atlasian battle mech (whit lots of heavy weapons) who walked onto the docking bay as reinforce for the guards. Of course the morale on defender side got a significant boost.

But certain cat-girl was not a big fan. No: Blake actually angrily, cat hisses on that cold machine. "I hate those things!" Then she realize her outburst… No, she noticed that Yang glancing/ staring at her whit WTF expression. Belladonna at once, clopped down her cat ears and buried her face behind shoulder of the blonde. Only her embarrassed voice reached out. "Please, forget what you saw right now."

In contrast her partner was absolutely honest. "Are you kidding me? There is no way, that this will not arrive in my dreams."

Of course, as family member, Qrow waited for the right moment to ask an (important) question at hand: "So~o? How many of these you kiddos actually have on account?"

For Jaune, this was a warning flag that force him to step forward to intervene. "As far as I remember it was a team effort to stop a rouge one from hurting the civilians. Anyway, picking a fight is not the point for whit we are here."

But as crow prepared to reach for his weapon, granny finally finished walking toward the male adult from theirs party and use her walking stick to slam his leg. It was not significantly strong attack, but it derail him from his thoughts that he look at her. It was her who talked some sense to this situation. "Hush! The sentiments of the two of you, had been noticed. But this is not a time to stretch a muscles to make an obvious point. There will be actually a plenty of opportunities for the actual training. Now, step aside! Not everybody embarked the craft. Yet.-- So, if every one will be so kind a make a proper corridor for the main guest."

Somehow, nobody argue as the party move few steps to the side. Even Blake got down from Yang shoulder when Qrow remove his hand from the blonde other shoulder. On the other side of the coin, the guards get (more?) nervous. Some of them aimed theirs weapons on the craft door in worry, of what kind of monster will get out now.

As the granny stepped on side, she turn her head back toward the ship and call. "Now, is the right time for my apprentice to enter the stage!"

But… seconds were passing and nothing has happening.

.

So granny tried it once more. "The red carpet is spread!" But she was rewarded by silence. "We still waiting for you!… Ruby?…" Then she realize it. "Oh dear. They dint run-away, dint they?"

This activate Ruby big sister as she shout at the craft. "Little sis?!… Rubes!! At last move to the (next base) [in relation ship] before you ditch the party whit a 'Snow Angel'!!"

But suddenly everyone outside heard ruby shouting from the craft interior. "Oh commo~on!! Ice Queen!!, this is not the time for a cold foots!! Save it for the actual door steps!!" There were this noises of struggle, witch were disrupted by sudden wind-wirl. Ruby used her semblance, that allow her aura to transform her into pseudo ball of red rose petals. It even effected her partner as the vertical swirl shot was a combination of two projectiles (red and white) that looked as if they were dancing. This 'entity' flied out of the craft. It flied to the middle of the bay. As the swirling ball landed, and red and white rose petals swirl along; everybody saw how Ruby Rose was standing in middle of the docking bay holding in her hands in price style; Weiss Schnee a hair to the Schnee dust company.

A clear confusion shoved on some soldiers faces when they notice that this (main quest) is they (princess?) and Atlas Diva. As they figured out, that the others people around are probably her (adventurer party?), all the troops around just backed to stand down.

The red hood girl tried to put the legs of the princess on the floor, but the other girl put her arms around 'Little Red' neck. Even if Weiss legs had no support, this girl flexed her tummy muscles to forcibly stay in the caring princess position. For that; Ruby give her the (I will drop you!) stare.

.

But before anybody managed to react (a missile?) flew onto the bay… Wait... No! It was (a person?)[f]… A green flames shot from the bottom of its rocket boots shoes like if it was a rocket engine. As that person fly over up at the sky, at certain moment, it make a circle around the landing bay, to observe the situation from a safe distance. But all that take only few second as this someone decide to move right above the center of the bay. While make a dancing pirouette to reduce its speed to zero, she elegantly and slowly descent down directly in front of the defender facing the visitors.

The guards loose all they tension as they got a reinforcements that (muss definitely) count.

But the visitor got the 'Wha~~at??' or 'Wo~ow...' facial expression when they realize who it was. The party team was (surprised?) as if the were reunited whit a long missing friend.

It was a Penny Polendina… A orange haired Robo-girl whit friendly naive personality, who befriend Ruby and others during her time on Beacon academy. This android meets her doom on the Amity arena, during the tournament. But right now she was okay. As she finished her theatrical entry (of a maiden rising from the lake),-- she opens her eyes and look forward to observe who are the troublemakers,-- it toke her a second or two to process what she see,-- until an (alarm?) sounded from inside her? (Or it was a morning alarm clock who was ringing to wake her up from her dreams.) But, the (ringing?) has been cut of pretty soon as Penny reawaken… She make this pleasantly surprised gasp for air… Then, she exchange this (happy kid seeing a birthday gift) expression, for a big grin on her face… But next, she make a one step forward by one leg as she take a pose as if she was a sprinter standing on the start line on running track, only seconds before the run will start. Except, she was facing them in direct line.

This gesture was enough to confuse everyone around; especially Ruby whit her "What???"

But older Weiss whit wide eyed expression pulled herself close to her partner who reestablishes her hold around the white girl. "Ruby, what she is going to do?"

.

Then this android maiden decide to recite her scene entry line 'Salutations…' but she spell it like it was a countdown for something… "Sa…"

Black-red haired girl got an expression as if she got a post traumatic syndrome [PTS] and as her eyes got fully wide she only made a worried "O- ou." [Oh shut./ Oh shit.]

White maiden carried as a princes went into panic mode, failing to control her voice pinch. "What do you mean by 'O- ou'? Do something!"

.

Penny stretch her body as if it was a direct preparation for some crazy dash. "...lu..."

Of course both of the girls were on panic. Ruby even tried to negotiate. "Penny, wait!"

But we shall not forget that this party had a knight in shinning armor. (Jaune) He make a call toward the girl with hood. "Ruby, toss the 'Ice'!"

.

Someone can state, that they saw how the imaginary starting gun raised up aiming its barrel towards the sky; as tension build up in body of penny. "...ta..."

Without a further thinking Ruby throw the princess to side like a bag.

Of course the noble girl expression got ice cold like (I am done whit this!/ I don't reacting to this!) as she probably don't liked the nickname itself more that the sole fact that she was been thrown.

.

And the countdown ended when penny shout. "...tions!!" It was not a pinch start of a runner on the running track. It was more like a launching a rocket from a rocket launcher as the rocket engines on her boots ignited.

Poor Ruby only manage to wave her hands in panic, screaming, making (Don't do it!) expression. But she got hit, as the rocket girl sweep her from her feet, when she got garbed by torso. The momentum was so big that they went fly directly to the opened door of the craft. Except, as the craft have its hangar door on both sides, so those two flight right through it. And the pilot of this duo take this couple up to the sky, leaving behind a trail of (green particles?)… Wait, it was a red rose petals that was (shaken of?) from the red girl, because Ruby's aura tried as hard as it can to protect the owner.

Meanwhile, Jaune got his heroic moment when he opened his arm to catch the miss Weiss in order to save her from hitting the floor by fall.

.

But… it dint went as he imagine it. The two body collided and make a flip together. As the boy fall back, making a pirouette or something like that, he ended up falling face down, back up.

The girl lost control over her body too. But instead of the boy, the muscle memory embedded to her by strict noble training, (How to act like a proper lady!) kick in; As she swung, she bent her legs in knees, making a roll. She managed to (landed) on that boy back. No, she still crashed on it. But in a (lady like?) way as if she was side siting/leaning on some kind of carpet spread on meadow during picking, or something like substitute for a sofa. (Or for a horse.) In this scenario labeled as John Arc. As her mood was cold, she make herself (comfy?). She raised her hand as if she was visually checking her nails and decided to praise her savior; Of course the praise was lacking a proper emotions of gratitude. "My hero..."

Of course the supposed knight in shining armor groan in pain. "I think that the history repeat itself in a painful way."

.

It was not just the party who was in shock, but even the guards dint know how to react.

But hipped up Penny, arrived on the dock once more whit her friend tightly in her hands. As she reduced her speed she was laughing happily and dancing meter above the floor.

Her dancing partner groan in pain. "Penny,-- why~ye??"

This convince her to loose the hug force, "Oh, somehow happened, that I ended being send to the incorrect docking bay. At first, they tell me its a surprise, but no one was coming. As I was waiting there, an urgent order tasked me to fly to this docking bay as fast as possible to help whit the problem. But this is like a gift give-away day. And I just cannot get enough of how much I am glad we meet again, my friend Ruby." The hugged girl only make a moan.

Observing this cute moments, Yang already overcome this surprise shock and decide to address the (Elephant? In the room.); "Penny?-- Wow-- I mean,-- you are not dead?"

Catching this question toward her, this robo-girl turn her gaze towards the blonde girl. (She was pleasantly surprised.) "Oh,-- hi Yang, did you forget? I am not a human. I am an android. My father put me back together and I am better that ever. Now I am proud defender of Mantle. But a question on the side: Do you mind to consider an anger relive tea therapy?"

.

Hearing this gibberish of facts force a smile on Yang face. "So good to hear that you are okay." This (bad-girl swaga) adolescent put a cool-grin on her face making this double pointing finger gesture pun saying: (You got this, girl!)

But Polendina notice the yellow robotic hand. (She was pleasantly surprised.) "Oh, hi!, hand number 3." The Black-Yellow prosthetic robo hand as a response to that (hi!) make the peace sing on its own. And the blonde owner glance at it whit genuine WTF expression. Someone maybe can say, that they saw her to ask that arm a question in shaky voice. "Ee~~eh… Penny?" And the arm in response vibrated, using in-build loudspeaker it make a certain punch line witch Penny used. "I am combat ready!"

Blake, once again hung on the blonde shoulder whit cat ears hunt ready, facing forward and (cat eyes) pinned on that rebellious arm.

.

Penny, still floating in one meter high or just half meter above the ground, move her attention to the cat-girl. Whit Ruby still in her hands, wind danced toward the other duo. As always she was oddly informative. "I don't know if this can be applied to Faunus, but to be sure you shall check it for yourself. Its a requirement that all cats must be vaccinated. The unstray [not lost, whit owners] ones, shall wear a collar whit owner data, or at last an under-skin chip. Then there is the issue of missing items."

That trigger an anger response on the black haired girl. "Hey!! That's so dam racist!!"

.

But Penny mods dint waver. "I telling you check it up, because is not uncommon to exploit those who dint properly read the contract or rules. How can one defend itself, if he dint know the paragraphs? Better be safe that sorry."

Yang was just silently starring over her shoulder at her companion whit wide big eyes. Soon as Blake notice, the black haired girl dint bother to ask (about what do you thinking?), she clop down her ears and whit a whine she withdraw behind the blonde shoulder.

Polendina already move her attention elsewhere as she hover to the duo Ren and Nora. "Hi Ren. Hi Nora. Between the reports that arrived by post was certain one that's is wort to check. That 'Nuckelavee' you fought; It was really a fused grim? Or it was a single entity that only look like two? Are you two finally free from the duty to avenge yours village?" She was making around them a circle.

The boy smiled back as he made a gesture of honorable salute. "It was done."

Girl in other hand was the talkative one. "That combined grim was though to take down, stretching its arm fast and far. Debufing us with its scream. But we hunt it down and now we are ready for another adventure." Plus, she make emphasis on they hands holding.

.

Penny node to agree whit them and then she dance-float to the Weiss siting on June. "Hi Weiss. Are you finally back from your overseas vacation to clear you heavy mind?"

Schnee was ready to bark, but she give up. "I was not on a v… Ah forget!... But,-- thanks… Thank you for thinking of me. And I'm not sure, if I'm really back."

.

"Noted." Whit that her gaze went down. "Hi June. I doubt you will get extra point for a work as squire. [noble servant?] But I am excited that you have a Pyrrha whit you. Are you two talking?" [She refers to the orange metal plating on his folding shield, that is memento left after Pyrrha.]

It was hard for him to even speak. "Its… its difficult to me."

.

"No problem." And she float away not confirming about what that commentary was attached to.

For that the blonde boy spoke up to the lady above. "Eh,-- Weiss? Will you be so kind and get down from me? Please?"

But she was cold. "No. But I want you to know, that I am not mad at you anymore."

The only answer was a simple tired comment of defeat. "Great…"

As the (air dancing?) duo got to the trio Crow, granny Maria and Oscar, Penny look at the male. "Master Huntsman Qrow, how long will you stay at Atlas? And will you required an escort out?"

Normally, if Qrow was drunk, he will spoke some clever comeback line. But right now he was just observed the situation. "I willing to bet, that they toll you to learn those welcoming lines from this certain chart. On which my name had a dedicated page to have a really wide variety to chose."

.

Without any malice, she delivered the answer. "Its more like you just meet a criteria, to be put into certain group."

"Well, glad that you are well. And in the stay matter? It depends."

.

Then she look at the granny and Oscar. "I see a new faces here. Hi, I am Penny."

Maria simply smiled at him. "Well you are an energetic fellow, aren't you."

Even Oscar realize that this is his chance. "Nice to meet you. If we on it, can we get a quick audience whit general Ironwood? Sooner, before latter."

Everyone from the party got tense not knowing what will be the answer.

Everyone except the dancing duo. Especially the orange haired girl. "Well,-- Its not that I am in charge of custom-office or making a cover stories? And for the request,-- it can be considered." And she just (step aside) making a room, a space, for someone else.

.

At this moment general IronWood finally show up, to put his foot down on this outrageous scene. Even older on soul he was still strict man in charge and his posture was on full strength. "Whats going on?! Give me a report! And Penny, cut out that output!"

"Understand." As ordered, she land on her legs. But she was still so hype. So hype, that she even show her dance partner to him as if hoodie girl was a pet or stuffed toy. "Look! My friend Ruby from Mistral, come to visit. And she brought the volunteers with her."

On contrast, Ruby was dizzy as her eyes were spinning around. And the only that come out of her mount was gibberish.

Qrow tried to convinced the general… "James, we need to talk…" Obviously the general dint show a happy face to the fellow member of brotherhood.

...but granny smack huntsman leg whit her crane to let her to talk. "Shush, debriefing about the important stuff is a sure thing. But there is a more important question to address. There is a maiden whit a worry heart, afraid to be treated like a political trophy."

.

James eyebrow rise up from hearing that too-specific description, but his eyes widened when he glanced where she pointed. Only now he managed to properly look around at the rest of the party.

From his expression, one can tell that he saw how much this group of students aged.

He restore his posture and walk toward Schnee and stop up in front of her. "To be clear. Jack Schnee or anyone else don't have any authority over the Atlas Academy and its students. I, as its director, have a duty to protect the students as long they are in, no matter what path they chose after graduation." Whit this speech he make a slight bow like a true gentlemen in front of the lady, while reaching out his hand and stretching up his palm, for her to grasp.

She understand. As she calm a little, she use that offered palm to stand up. After that she make a proper bow of a lady. "I thank you for yours support, general IronWood." Whit these words she walk over the rest of her team.

.

At this moment James redirected his attention to the Jaune Arc still lying on the floor. "And you young man; let this to be for you a first lesson on this academy. Chivalry can put a lot of pressure on someone back. Especially on those who dint know how to put a boundaries for themselves. Expect that but pressure to be an adequate back-fire for a foolish playfulness. Now,-- On you feet! How can you expect to get stronger, if you cant overcome what bringing you down?"

As commanded, whit a painful whim, the boy starts to getting up.

.

The general make a turn back. As he make his iconic pose whit his hands behind his back, he observed the party. "For the rest of you, even if you received some growth after the crisis on Beacon academy, its still not enough. You need more strength and more experience. Prepare yourself! This is the Atlas academy and the days here starts early. Don't expect that slacking will get you somewhere." After those words, he start walking to leave the bay and the crowd starts to break up and leave.

And even if the party say bye to the granny Maria, who said that she need to make an appointment whit her mechanic for the eye visor maintenance, they at last moved to the next part of they journey…

...they successfully arrived at Atlas Academy.
