Chapter 25: Lack of sleep

"Yohaaann! Are you alive in there?"

Yohan opened the door to his apartment, only to be greeted by Landon's mischievous grin. He had heard all the commotion while he was in the shower, someone knocking on his door and shouting out his name for what seemed like an eternity. In a hurry, Yohan stumbled out with wet hair as he hadn't had time to dry it.

"Well, well." Landon drawled with a playful grin. "No wonder you took so long, turns out you were taking a shower. I thought you were still sleeping."

Behind him stood Jun who appeared bored and sleepy but grumbled at Yohan's sight. However, something about Jun seemed friendlier than yesterday...? Yohan couldn't put his finger on what exactly had changed though. Yohan shifted his gaze back to Landon, scratching an itch that wasn't really there in his nose, he chuckled lightly.

"I didn't expect you to ask me out this early..."

"I thought after our salon appointment we should buy some new clothes for you. Your current wardrobe is too boring!"

Landon barged into Yohan's apartment with Jun following behind. The two immediately made themselves comfortable on the sofa while Yohan laughed softly at Landon's fashion advice, as his clothes were just used items from Yoh and he didn't care much about fashion.

As Yohan walked towards his bedroom to dry his hair, he glanced back at Jun and asked, "Is Jun coming too?"

Landon shook his head as he leaned against Jun, who had fallen asleep on the sofa. "No, we'll take him to his boxing gym first and then go to the salon." Landon explained with a shrug.

Yohan nodded in understanding as he disappeared into the bedroom. Once Yohan finished drying his hair and getting dressed, the trio headed out of the apartment building. As they reached the parking lot, Landon's excitement was palpable as he eagerly scanned the area for his car. He urged Yohan and Jun to wait on the front walkway while he retrieved it.

While they were waiting, Yohan couldn't help but notice that Jun had been yawning frequently. He spotted a vending machine nearby and headed over to grab a canned coffee, before returning to where they were standing earlier. With a smile on his face, he offered it to Jun who gratefully accepted it.

"Thanks."

Jun said as he quickly opened the can and took a sip.

Yohan looked at jun who was drinking his coffee, still looking sleepy.

"Did you not get enough sleep last night?" he asked curiously.

Jun paused mid-sip before looking at Yohan with intense sharp eyes that made him feel like he was being analyzed.

"Yes... because of someone."

Can't sleep because of someone...?

Yohan's face turned a deep shade of red as he struggled to comprehend Jun's words. Due to his past life experiences, he was far from innocent, and therefore interpreted Jun's comment as a reference to Landon's sexual prowess. Stammering incoherently, Yohan tried to speak through the blush on his cheeks.

"You mean... Landon? But he looks as energetic and feisty as a puppy this morning..." Yohan thought that Landon was just like him - a receiver during sex, but now, he couldn't help but wonder if he was wrong all along.

"Do you have back pain? Should I buy some patches?" Yohan continued sympathetically, trying to be helpful.

"Huh? What do you mean?"

Jun furrowed his brow at first in confusion before suddenly understanding what Yohan meant after digesting his question. He pinched Yohan's cheek playfully until it stretched outwards.

"Ouchhh! What are you doing, Jun?!" Yohan winced in pain as he felt the pressure of Jun's fingers on his cheek.

"What are you thinking? How can you be so dirty-minded in the morning?" Jun glared at Yohan, although there was a hint of amusement mixed with annoyance in his eyes.

"If we did that, Landon would only be available during the day since he'd be too exhausted." Jun removed his hand from Yohan's cheek while grumbling under his breath.

Yohan blushed even harder at Jun's scolding, making it clear that Landon was the one who had been on the receiving end. If Landon became too tired to do anything else during the day in the future, maybe Yohan could bring him food and offer some comfort. At least that way he could support his friend after what sounded like some pretty intense activity.

But Yohan couldn't help but think about how incredible Jun's stamina must be in bed to make someone as energetic as Landon tired out!

Shyly looking up at Jun through lowered lashes, Yohan felt his face heat up in embarrassment once again.

"I'm sorry, I misunderstood..." he muttered shyly.

Jun looked back at him with a smirk on his face.

"You may look innocent, but you're quite skilled at being perverted" he teased before quickly adding, "But don't worry about it. I won't judge you."

Covering his face with his hands, Yohan groaned inwardly. Ever since arriving in this second life, he had been associated with the word 'pervert' far too often, leaving him traumatized by the label.

Yohan still felt a tinge of embarrassment, but he quickly decided to steer the conversation back to its original course. He cleared his throat and turned towards Jun.

"You mentioned that you couldn't sleep because of someone... Is there anything bothering you?" Yohan asked inquisitively.

Jun's expression grew serious as he shook his head. "No, it's not like that at all," he replied softly. "I couldn't sleep last night because I was thinking about you, Yohan."

For a moment, Yohan felt taken aback by Jun's words - memories of cheesy soap operas flooding his mind, where best friends' boyfriend confess his attraction to his lover's best friend. But then he quickly pushed them aside firmly, since he knew such things would never happen between him and Jun.

Instead, looking into Jun's eyes, he could tell that this wasn't romantic attraction, rather it seemed that whatever emotions were affecting him also affected Jun just as strongly, keeping him up all night as he tried to sift through his memories.

"Jun, did we know each other before? I feel like we've met somewhere..." Yohan said thoughtfully.

The frustration was evident in Jun's expression as he held the back of his head. "I'm not sure..." he admitted reluctantly. "But if I do remember anything, I'll definitely tell you."

Despite having already made a 50% guess about Yohan's identity, Jun decided to confirm his suspicions first before discussing them with Landon later on.

Yohan nodded understandingly in response, and they soon heard the sound of Landon's car pulling up in front of them.
