Chapter 50: Vinegar

Grandfather Xu was deep in thought when he suddenly noticed that both of his grandsons were still standing at the door of his bedroom, staring at each other in silence. He scolded them for their behavior.

"What are you two doing? Instead of leaving, you're fighting here in my room?" he bellowed with irritation.

Kane shook his head and flashed a grin. "No need to worry, Grandfather. We weren't fighting - just talking about something. Besides, my brother isn't the type to get easily provoked."

Kian remained silent throughout the exchange as if disinterested in being part of the conversation at all.

Grandfather Xu sneered at Kane's response but didn't pursue it further. "Alright then, enough chit-chat. Both of you should leave now."

He continued with another request before they departed. "Oh, and before Old Long arrives, make sure to call the boy from the Qin family inside; there's something I need to discuss with him."
