chapter 4

Light went to the library and started looking for the Bookshelf to mark an "X". Meanwhile, Terror and Despair were packing up to go to the SCREAM main office. After some searching, Light found the bookshelf. He precisely located the book and marked an "X" on it. He pocketed the marker and scurried off to the teacher's room. He entered the room and saw Despair and Terror were ready to go.

'So, let's go?' said Light in a confused way.

'Yeah,' said Terror as they all went out of the building and back to the SCREAM main office…

Terror, Despair and Light entered the SCREAM office and used the same flight of stairs to reach the third floor. They all entered the third floor and Light saw that it was not the normal office, instead there was a big metal gate in front of them and they were in a gray coloured long hallway.

' What is this place?' asked Light.

'This is the weapon supply storage.' said Terror.

'Alright, so, where are the weapons?' asked Light.

'You gotta enter the gate,' said Terror.

'Alright,' said Light as he approached the metal gate and a keypad popped out of the wall beside it. He checked it and on it, was showing "Enter password"

'What's the password?' asked Light.

'It's 7 multiplied by 10 minus 1.' said Terror.

'What? Stop tryna twist your words, say it in a straightforward way.' said Light.

'It's 69.' said Despair.

'What the hell bro? How can you keep such a password?' said Light as he entered the password and the sound of hydraulics filled the hallway.

'Actually, you got the slang wrong, it's what the fu-' said Despair.

'Shut up!.' shouted Terror. 'We are on an important mission.'

The door slowly started opening, revealing a big room filled with crates and guns hung on the wall.

'Woah!' exclaimed Light.

'This is where the fun begins.' said Despair while having a grin on his face as he entered the room followed by Despair and Light..

'Get the guns.' said Despair as he went to the back wall and picked up two UZI's from the wall and said ' Get some USP's'

Light was staring at Despair when Terror said 'Here, catch.'

Light glanced back at Terror as he threw a USP and Light caught it.

'Thanks.' said Light as Terror picked up one more from the wall on the right side.

Despair passed a dump pouch to everyone as they went out of the room and went down the flight of stairs.

' Yeah! I found a new part! Come and check this out.' said Light while pointing towards his laptop which he had opened up when he left the room.

'Oh, a secret passage to enter the school? Interesting.' said Terror.

'I have a plan, lemme explain the plan to you.' said Despair. 'So, Terror will go alone and enter the Laboratory and if he needs our help, he'll just whistle.'

'Fine by me.' said Terror.

'I am kinda worried about Terror.' said Light in a concerned manner as they reached the end of the stairs and exited the building.

'Don't worry, hop on my bike, we'll get some fresh air and eat some dumplings.' said Despair.

'Alright.' said Light as he got on Despair's bike and sat behind him. Despair started the bike and took off with full speed.

Terror went to his car which was parked beside Despair's bike and entered it, he ignited the car and took off towards Mayleborne academy…

Terror reached the school and parked his car in the parking lot, he then got out of the car and headed towards the main entrance. He opened the door and straight up headed towards the library. As soon as he entered, he started looking for the book marked with "X" in the library. After a few minutes of searching, he finally found it. Now, it was time for the showdown.

Terror slowly pulled out the book and pressed the back of the bookshelf. The grinding of gears filled the room as the Bookshelf started turning 90 degrees. It slowly turned, revealing a secret passage coloured in green and he could see a laboratory. He slowly took out his gun and walked forwards. He entered the laboratory and saw that it had two big cupboards covered with glass on the Left side and scientific equipment like Microscopes, beakers etc on a few glass and wooden tables on the left side. The back of the lab was completely empty until, he stepped out of the passage and into the laboratory when suddenly a big glass dome appeared above him and the back of the laboratory extended to show 20 guns pointed at him, 20 Scientists wearing lab coats gathered in a line and in the middle was Joe with a Desert Eagle in his right hand and the left hand in his pockets. All the other scientists had Guns like AK47's and M16's.

Terror froze in his place as soon as he saw all this. Meanwhile; Despair and Light had stopped before a ramp-like structure in an alley near the school.

'What kind of dumpling shop is this?' asked Light.

'You'll see. Playing audio file; "grateful".' said Despair as he revved his bike and played the song…

'D'you have any last wish?' Joe asked Terror.

'Yes, just a whistle.' said Terror as he whistled loudly and from a passage on the right side of the wall, big enough to fit a bike came out Despair riding on his Harley Davidson, breaking through the glass dome. The roar of the exhaust filled the lab as he let go of the handle in mid air and open fired with his two UZI's. His bike flew through the air as he emptied the magazine on three of the scientists and killed them. He smoothly took off his glasses revealing his blue eyes which went to a bright purple color.

He swiftly landed on the ground. 'Ah, my spine!.' exclaimed Light from the back.

'You are a disgrace to us heroes, ruined my entry.' said Despair angrily.

Despair swiftly got off from the bike and took cover behind one of the big metal drawers and Light went in the opposite direction and also took cover behind one of the metal tables. Despair Looked at Light and he looked at Despair.

'Light, this is the perfect monet to see who's better, me or you. Let's do a 1v1 challenge and see who gets more kills.' said Despair loudly as the scientists shot above him.

'Oh, yeah, we shall do this.' said Light as he cocked his gun and peaked above the table and tried to shoot but they were obviously outnumbered. Light quickly shot a few bullets and hid behind the table once more.

'We shall make it a fair fight!' said Despair as he threw his second UZI, which was in his left hand in the open.

Despair ran out of the cover towards a wooden table kept beside. He slid under the table and flipped it over on the left side to use it as cover. All the beakers and microscope fell and broke which caused tremendous sound. As soon as he flipped the table, he peaked from above it and sprayed at one of the scientists. The bullets hit him in the belly as he fell on the ground backwards.

'One,' said Despair as he hid behind the table again and the Scientists shot at Despair. The bullets were very powerful and broke through the table but fortunately none hit him, all of them went beside him.

'Fuck.' said Despair as he cocked the gun once more and peaked again. He sprayed once more but couldn't hit anyone this time. He took cover behind the table again but, as soon as he did that, a bullet sped past his ear. He could hear the sound of the bullet speeding past.

'I gotta get outta here.' said Despair as he ran out once again and did the same thing with another table. He again peaked but missed once again, He then grabbed one of the legs of the table and flipped it to be in a vertical position. This surprised the scientists and Despair caught them off guard with this move. He sprayed at one of the scientist's legs and he fell, as soon as he fell Despair aimed for his head and shot one bullet at him and successfully killed him. 'Two, and look how the tables have turned!.' said Despair with a big smile on his face as he made the table horizontal again.

Light was still hiding behind cover and was taking deep breaths, at last he said 'Spray and pray.' as he blindly peaked above the table only with his hands and the gun and just sprayed which fortunately killed one of the scientists.

'Holy shit, goddamnit.' said Light. 'One.'

'Time to learn some action verbs.' said Despair while grinning.

He ran out of the cover and grabbed a broken piece of microscope from the floor and said 'Pick,'

'Jump!' He said as he jumped up on a table with many beakers on it.

'Break.' he said as he used the broken piece to break them which caused glass shards to fly everywhere and cause loud sounds.

While doing that, he sprayed another scientist with his USP and rolled off the table and took cover behind it. 'Killed' he said in a cold voice while smiling and cocking his gun once again. 'Three,' he said.

At this point, Light realized no bullets were being shot at him so, he took advantage of it and freely peaked, he precisely aimed at an unsuspecting scientist and shot him in the head, this caused the other scientists to look at him and start shooting. He sprayed once again and the bullets hit a scientist in the head which killed him.

'Another one.' said Light while going back into cover and releasing the empty magazine from his gun and equipping the new one that he took out from the pouch.

Light ran out of the cover towards the table that Despair had flipped in the beginning. He slid perfectly in the cover and pushed the table towards the scientists, he suddenly peaked out from the side while diving and sprayed, he killed one more and did a side roll on the ground and moved on to another metal table and took cover behind it.

Despair on the other hand, got out of the cover and yelled 'Run!' as he ran towards the back of the laboratory but slid swiftly beside a table on which there were a lot of glass containers.

'Slide,' he said as he used his left hand to push all the containers off the table and at the end of his slide, he caught one with his right hand and threw it towards one of the scientists. It hit the scientist in the head and he took cover behind a thin wooden table. 'Throw,' said Despair.

Despair smirked and opened fire on that table and yelled 'FIRE!' with all his might. Continuously emptying the magazine as the bullets easily passed through the table, at last only 10 bullets remained and he emptied all of them and the very last bullet hit on the head straight through the table and killed him.

Despair went back into cover 'Shot and killed once again and oh, quadra baby!' yelled Despair as he ran out of cover once again and jumped on top of a table. He had reached the end of the laboratory now, so he turned towards the left and jumped off the table.

There was a scientist who was standing near that table and as soon as Despair jumped down, the scientist started shooting and blasting at him. Fortunately, none of the bullets hit Despair, instead, he slides towards the scientist's legs and shoots at them causing him to fall. He jerks his body back up and swiftly kicks the scientists in his crotch, then he uses his USP to shoot him in the head and kill him. 'I have destroyed five people and a generation in mere seconds.' said Despair as he headed towards one of the cupboards and took cover on the side of it.

'Despair, Light, cover me! ALl of those damn bullets are coming towards me!.' Yelled Terror from behind cover.

'As you wish, sire. No tension when Despair's there.' said Despair.

'You are here, that's the only tension,' said Terror.

'Give me a break, I'm the hero here.' said Despair.

'You're not a hero, you're a villain!.' yelled Terror.

'Yes, I am the best villain, but for them.' said Despair.

Meanwhile, Light was dueling with one of the scientists; when one peaks, the other doesn't.

Everytime Light peaked, he saw that the scientist was behind cover. Soon enough, he got fed up and rushed towards the second wooden table that Despair had flipped and he slid behind it and started pushing it towards the scientists at an extremely fast pace. He slammed the table into the scientists, pinning him against the wall. The scientist panicked and started spraying with his AK. Light swifty ducked and rolled up while pushing the table even harder. As the scientist kept shooting, all the bullets were going above Light. Soon enough, the magazine was empty and Light used his USP to shoot the table. The bullets passed through the table and hit the scientists on the leg. This distracted the scientist and he looked towards his leg; Light took advantage of this and stood up, he then pointed his gun straight at the scientist's head and said 'Bye.' as he pressed the trigger and started emptying the magazine on his head. As each bullet hit his head, more blood started coming out and splashing on Light's face. The bullets started ripping his skin off and making black holes in the place of his eyes. Soon enough, the magazine was empty, the dead body was completely red and its jaw was visible as the skin had ripped off and its left ear had fallen off.

Light's face was covered in blood as he released the magazine from his gun and equipped a new one that he took out from the pouch. But he was quickly surprised by bullets flying past him. He grabbed the dead body by its shoulders and started using it as a shield. Bullets were coming at him but he slowly made his way to cover. The five scientists who were shooting at Light were standing near the back of the laboratory in front of a glass wardrobe, they had started shooting at the cupboard behind him. The glass started to shatter and fall on Light as started to move to-and-fro to avoid the glass falling on him.

'Distraction action!.' yelled Despair and Light looked at him. Despair peaked from above the cover and started shooting at the glass wardrobe behind the scientists. The shattered pieces of glass fell on the scientists and they got distracted and started to move around and avoid the glass shards.

Light was waiting for that moment as he peaked from above and started spraying. The bullets went flying towards one of the scientists and obliterated his chest. He then shifted the spray to another scientist whom he killed with a simple headshot. He then moved the spray towards the right and aimed at what seemed like one scientist, but, as soon as he destroyed him, he saw one more body falling behind him. There was another scientist who was hiding behind the first one but light had simultaneously killed both of them. At last, he slowly aimed his gun even more towards the right but he kept shooting, the scientist was pretty far away from his gun but he still kept shooting and wasting ammo. He slowly took his aim towards the scientist and on the very last bullet, he hit him straight in the head and instantly killed him. 'Eight,' he said while grinning and reloading his gun.

'Hey, those were mine! A sidekick can't get more kills than the hero!' yelled Despair who had now hidden behind cover and said to himself 'I gotta get nine.' Despair was distracted at this point and was not paying attention to what was going on behind him.

Suddenly, he felt a hand grabbing on to his gun. He quickly glanced behind and saw a scientist grabbing on to his gun. He instinctively used his hands to put his fingers in the scientist's mouth and pull his jaw downwards as he heard a crack.

'Are you hungry?' asked Despair.

The scientist shook his head while trying to say something.

'Oh, I see you're very hungry, I'll serve you with bullets.' said Despair as he took his gun and put it in the scientist's mouth and blasted his mouth with the bullets.

'Stop with your dialogues, you're not here for a movie shoot.' yelled Light.

'Nah, I'm here for the audition.' said Despair.

Light was breathing heavily as he switched to the other side of the cover and got ready with his gun, he could not see anyone in the open laboratory meaning, two scientists were behind him. As soon as he realized that, he stood up and turned 180 degrees just to see a scientist pointing his AK at his head.

'You're dead meat!' said the scientist.

'Sometimes, death comes from behind.' said Light as Despair ran out of cover and jumped up on a table, he then leaped towards a cupboard on the right and grabbed the top of it.

'Lemme teach you some action verbs.'He said as he swiftly leapt off the cupboard and on the ground, crouched and shot at the scientist's legs.

'That's an action verb.' said Despair and shot his hands.

'Experiencing pain, that's an action verb.' said Despair and shot the scientist straight on his head.

'Another a- sorry, not an action verb.' said Despair.

He saw another scientist coming out of cover and as soon as he tried to shoot Despair, he shot the scientist in the legs and he fell.

'You're my last one before I kill Joe, you shall not have a pleasant death.' said Despair as he left his gun there and moved towards the scientist. He picked up a glass beaker from a table nearby and smashed it on the ground. He squatted down on the ground and grabbed the scientist by his hair and lifted his head.

'D'you think your face is ugly?' asked Despair.

The scientist shook his head.

'Oh! You do! Well then I have the perfect treatment to cure the ugliness of your face.' said Despair as he dragged the scientist towards the broken glass and said 'Three, two, one.' and started banging his head on the glass covered floor.

'Light, don't let Joe escape.' said Despair as he kept banging the scientist's head on the floor. The floor was covered in blood and the man's face was also covered with blood and glass shards. After banging his head a few more times, he finally stopped and flipped him over.

'Look how beautiful your face looks, but you still have that double chin, lemme cut that fat away for you.' said Despair as he picked up a glass shard from the ground and swifty gave two deep cuts in his chin.

'You look better now, but you need some acupuncture but, I might've forgotten my needles but, I do have bullets.' said Despair as he pointed his gun towards the scientist's face and emptied the magazine on him. The floor was pooling with blood and so were Despair's hands.

'Done, now I'll get my last and final kill.' said Despair as he headed towards Light who all this time had been holding the angle where Joe was hidden.

'Joe is hidden behind that table.' said Light as he pointed towards a metal table right in front of him.

'Don't worry, I got this.' said Despair as he darted towards the table while grinning widely and jumped up on it. He saw Joe preparing to run out of the cover. Despair got distracted by it and accidentally let go of his gun.

'Shit! Light shoot him!' yelled Despair as Joe ran out of cover towards the secret passage. Light started shooting but Joe was moving very fast so he couldn't hit his shots. Despair also ran after Joe. Joe had reached the passage but Light had fortunately managed to hit one bullet which hit Joe on his shoulder.

Joe groaned in pain and grabbed his shoulder but still managed to swiftly run out of the passage but he was followed by Despair. Despair ran at full speed and entered the passage and followed the trail of blood for a few moments till he finally reached the outside of the alley but, the trail of blood had stopped, Light and Terror followed behind Despair and saw him standing at the exit. They all got out of the passage and stood there discussing.

'Where'd he go?' asked Light.

'Probably in the backrooms.' said Despair.

'Might be,' said Terror. 'I mean, he vanished in thin air.'

Joe was there, present behind the walls, listening to everything they were saying…
