Study Compromises

Jimin: Wouldn't a coaching center be better for you?

Inna: Come on, you know my grades Ican't keep up there. (gestures dismissively) You're so smart, always in the top three. Please help me!

Jimin: Alright, alright! But really, I'm just looking out for you. Wouldn't it be...

Inna (interrupting): Stop right there! Thanks, but I'll just come to your house instead, okay?

Jimin: When are you going to start taking your studies seriously?

Inna: Huh? Did you say something? I didn't hear you.

Jimin: Never mind.

Inna gave a slight smile, waved her hand, and said goodbye before walking to her house. Jimin watched her leave with a small smile of his own. He then returned to his house, unlocked the door, and went straight to his room.

Jimin's room was tidy and well-organized, with a cherished childhood photo of him and Inna on his desk. As always, the room was spacious, a testament to his family's comfortable financial situation.

He headed to the kitchen, where he prepared a package of instant ramen for himself. Despite having a caretaker aunt who handled his meals, Jimin occasionally enjoyed some alone time and would request that she not come on certain days.

After dinner, he returned to his desk to study.

A while later, the doorbell rang.

It was Inna.

Inna gestured and signaled, pleading with Jimin to let her into his house.

With a resigned sigh, Jimin went to the door and opened it for her.

Inna said, "Thank you so much," her voice filled with relief.

Jimin nodded briefly and retreated to his room.

Inna stepped inside, her hands burdened with food and books, and followed Jimin into his room.
