Kaelen remained perched in the crystalline tree, observing as the two armored figures came to a halt. For a moment, the forest was eerily silent, save for the occasional crunch of crystal leaves underfoot. One of the figures finally broke the stillness, their voice was low and hesitant.
"Maybe this is as far as we should go... We haven't seen any signs of it."
The second figure sighed in response, their body language was showing a mixture of frustration and reluctance.
"Alright then."
They muttered, though they both seemed unsure if turning back was truly the right choice.
Just as they prepared to move, a deep, bone-rattling roar echoed through the forest. The sound was so powerful it seemed to reverberate through the crystalline trees, surprising kaelen a bit. Even the figures below stiffened, and their postures immediately alert. One of them whispered to their companion:
"That must be it..."
