A Grave Mistake

The night cloaked Sylas's sanctuary in a surreal splendor, the fractured sky casting shimmering ribbons of light across the garden. Indigo and silver hues painted the world, bathing everything in a soft, otherworldly glow. The air hummed faintly with the presence of Aether, giving the garden an almost dreamlike quality.

Kaelen's companions had retired to a spacious room within Sylas's house, one large enough to accommodate the four of them comfortably. Yet, sleep evaded Kaelen.

He wandered into the backyard, crouching by a cluster of luminous plants that seemed to pulse gently in the dark. Their colors shifted subtly, from azure to gold, and the sight held Kaelen's attention as he traced the veins of a massive, glowing leaf with his finger.
