Onward Once More

The third layer's morning mist clung to the air, casting an ethereal glow over the quiet expanse of the land. The day had arrived—the day they would finally leave this mystical place behind.

All of them stood outside the main entrance of Sylas's home, or rather, the colossal tortoise that served as both his sanctuary and resting place. The beast lay still beneath them, with its massive form blending into the natural landscape, as if it had always belonged there.

Thane shifted his weight, crossing his arms as he stared up at the creature's hulking shell. He then turned to the group, gesturing toward it with a tilt of his head.

"…What do we do about him?"

Silence followed as they exchanged glances, each of them wondering the same thing. It was an odd thing to consider—leaving behind a home that wasn't truly a home, yet had sheltered them nonetheless.

Then—before anyone could answer—Fauna stepped forward.
