After the beta shifter departed, the party lightened up a bit, people relaxed. But the brothers, Vlad, and Lilith were all on edge. The thick tension in the air could be cut with a knife. They knew nothing good would come of this, and knew a meeting would happen after the party was over.

The shifters never cared about their parties before, but the one involving their future queen, that didn't set well with them.

Violet noticed the change in demeanor; however, she tried to let it go. She tried focusing on her guests and party and the new kitten that's now hiding in her room. But she couldn't. they were projecting their worries and concerns outwards, and she couldn't shake their suspicions.

And then there was Ursula and her friend. What was her name? Violet doesn't remember catching it.
