In ancient Egypt, the young and progressive King Neferkare is determined to choose his wife based on merit rather than social status. He selects two finalists - Amunet, a kind-hearted commoner, and Ankhesenamun, a manipulative royal princess - and puts them through a series of tests to assess their wisdom, compassion, and integrity. As Amunet impresses the king with her exceptional performance, the royal family, led by Ankhesenamun, conspires to undermine her at every turn. But Neferkare becomes suspicious of the sabotage and secretly investigates, ultimately uncovering the royal family's scheme. In the final test, Amunet's unwavering integrity and dedication shine through, and Neferkare chooses her as his wife, defying tradition and expectations.
