“She is no longer your responsibility. She is mine to deal with now,” the lycan said.

A Mate For The Last Lycan

But it didn't feel right because obviously this person wasn't Khaos.

Zuri opened her eyes and she saw this man. She knew who he was, but she didn't think she would meet him here, let alone to have him inside the carriage.

However, before she could do anything, he covered her mouth with wet cloth and all she could feel was this strange taste on the tip of her tongue that burned her throat and confused her mind.

"Ssh," he said. "Sleep Zuri. It will not be hurt." He caressed her head, but Zuri could see the anger and resentment behind his eyes. He was livid. He was ready to kill her if it was necessary.

And then everything turned dark. She lost her consciousness.

Zuri felt like she was floating in the darkness, it felt like she was drowning under cold river water, but then when her senses came back slowly, she finally realized what had happened to her.
