Volume 2 Chapter 39: I'm Here to Learn, Not to Be Tempted!
Tall, alternating blue and black ear feathers, silvery-gray hair, and a dignified yet alluring face.
A woman who seemed like a noblewoman walked gracefully, leading Garde to her office. Placing her peculiar staff aside to show goodwill, she said,
"Mr. Garde, please have a seat."
The last time they met was a month and a half ago. In reality, they had never met before. During the journey through the Hotlands, without the help of this woman before him, Garde and his team wouldn't have won their final victory so easily.
Ho'olheyak—when Garde was trapped in the Nightzmora' dreamscape, she had helped him rescue Saria and other operatives from Rhine Lab.
She woke Saria during her battle with the Nightzmora Knight and, during the final fight against the Nightzmora Khagan, plotted alongside Kal'tsit to destroy the Khagan's core.
For this, Garde owed Ho'olheyak three favors.
He thought that after coming to Columbia, he wouldn't meet her so soon. Yet here she was, appearing before him as a guest professor in the History Department of Trimounts Polytechnic University.
Ho'olheyak's attire wasn't much different from what Garde had seen in the dreamscape. In fact, the scene before him seemed to replicate their first meeting, down to the smallest details.
Whether in dreams or reality, every movement of Ho'olheyak was captivating.
Her pure white, form-fitting attire was tightly stretched by her impressive chest. Even as she sat down first, her movements drew Garde's attention to his mistake.
Who said Terra doesn't have girls with soccer or watermelons-size breasts?
If not, then what were the sights before Garde's eyes?
The sight he saw in the dreamscape dimensions was no exaggeration.
A bust of 102.68 centimeters—what did that signify?
Between heaven and earth; this was a chest broad enough to encompass all of life's wonders!
G-cup!!!
Even someone as composed as Garde couldn't help but glance at her. No man could resist such temptation—it was only a matter of time.
Garde managed to avert his gaze in less than a second.
Stay calm!
Even though Ho'olheyak was a Liberi, she exuded a dangerous aura akin to a serpent. This danger didn't come from her strength but from the confidence of a mature woman.
Garde admitted that, in this regard, as an eighteen-year-old with limited life experience, he had lost—utterly defeated.
Looking around, Garde recalled what he did in the dreamscape and casually chose a couch that offered a full view of Ho'olheyak to sit down.
The languid woman leaned back in her chair, her long, glossy snake tail coiled around her thighs. The cold, scaly texture slid over her equally smooth, black-stocking-clad legs, exuding an exotic charm.
Though Saria and Gavial also had tails, they would never act as provocatively as Ho'olheyak.
Garde wasn't a seasoned veteran—he was a passionate young man. His mental maturity might surpass his peers, but that didn't mean his body had escaped youthful impulses.
He could be impulsive too!
However, having faced countless confrontations with Renekton's fury, Garde had learned how to control his emotions.
The temptation before him wasn't too much to handle.
"Miss Ho'olheyak, long time no see."
Garde leaned back on the couch, gradually relaxing. After quickly adapting, he had shifted from a gaze of desire to one of admiration for Ho'olheyak.
Because, truly, wasn't she beautiful?
Whether it was the bountiful, fruit-like chest or the full, rounded hips that jiggled with every step, they were all manifestations of beauty.
There was nothing wrong with maturity, and voluptuousness was a virtue.
He had come to Trimounts Polytechnic University to learn, not to visit a brothel. He should approach everything he encountered at this university calmly.
This included chests and hips!
From initial discomfort to present tranquility, Garde's demeanor didn't seem feigned. His adaptability as a hunter had allowed him to withstand Ho'olheyak's pressure.
So what if he owed favors?
These days, debtors were in charge!
And Garde was confident that, on this land, there was no one or group he needed to fear.
Confidence came from strength.
Between him and Ho'olheyak, he was not the prey—Ho'olheyak was.
"I wonder why Miss Ho'olheyak is looking for me. In Sargon's Hotlands, it was thanks to your help that we succeeded. I'm always patient with friends."
Garde exhaled softly, looking at Ho'olheyak calmly.
"So, Miss Ho'olheyak, what do you need from me?"
Golden eyes met emerald ones.
Ho'olheyak had reviewed Garde's profile. If the information was correct, Garde was truly only eighteen—still as inexperienced as a fledgling in this vast world.
However, Garde's adaptability surprised even Ho'olheyak. After all, he had been staring at her chest just moments ago.
"Hehe, Mr. Garde, didn't I mention this earlier? I'm a guest professor in the History Department of Trimounts Polytechnic University. My team just happens to need an exceptional student, so I chose you."
Ho'olheyak's gaze swept over Garde's statuesque, muscular frame. She licked her lips slightly, a captivating curve forming at the corner of her mouth.
"Or are you suggesting that as a guest professor in the History Department, I'm not qualified to teach you Originium Arts?"
Whether or not she was qualified could easily be discerned from Ho'olheyak's Outstanding-level Originium Arts Adaptation.
While Originium Arts Adaptation didn't always directly correlate with a practitioner's strength, what other caster could deceive a Nightzmora Khagan in a dreamscape from thousands of miles away?
Garde merely felt that Ho'olheyak's appearance was too coincidental—almost as if she had been waiting for him at Trimounts Polytechnic University.
If Garde were to voice his suspicions, Ho'olheyak would confirm them without hesitation. Yes, she had been waiting for him here deliberately.
Although she held the title of guest professor in the university's History Department, Ho'olheyak had no obligation to teach there. It was just one of her many identities.
Yet, to wait for a great hero returning from Sargon's Hotlands—an Adakrys who had saved the world in places unknown to the people of Terra—she had stayed in Trimounts for a month and a half.
As a historian, Ho'olheyak refused to miss any moment that could mark history. The stars had told her that an Adakrys man, whose existence itself was an epic, was destined to emerge.
Wasn't that fascinating?
In the long river of history, who could guarantee their mark on it?
An Adakrys, a Sargon tribal heir, a Rhine Lab Defense Department Head of Defense in Trimounts, and yet also a young, untested king—what role would he play?
The only thing Ho'olheyak could foresee with certainty was that in the grand and tumultuous future—where even Kazdel would rise again and the Lord of Fiends might return to the earth—this Adakrys man would remain the brightest star on this land.
Such a definitive prophecy made it seem as though this outcome was inevitable.
She had read in historical records that the great Khagan of the steppes once had a teacher. So now, why couldn't she be the teacher of this Adakrys man?
Ho'olheyak gazed at Garde with the intensity of a serpent ready to devour its prey. Placing her hands over her abdomen, she attempted to present a more dignified image.
But to Garde, it felt like pure temptation.
Ho'olheyak's attire clung tightly to her overly voluptuous body, emphasizing her ample curves.
Her fitted pencil skirt and full, shapely legs formed a slightly indented triangular space between them, and now, Ho'olheyak's hand rested precisely in that spot.
"Mr. Garde, would you like to become my student?"
Garde heard her question but couldn't help glancing at Ho'olheyak's alluring figure. She didn't appear aged at all; in fact, her body seemed almost too youthful—temptingly so.
If he had to face such a sight every day, Garde, as a healthy young man, doubted even his strong willpower could withstand the distraction.
He came to learn, not to train his self-control!
After a brief pause, Garde responded with a firm tone.
"I refuse!"
