Chapter 57

Zhang Zheng's Bedroom

Zhang Zheng picked up his phone and saw an unfamiliar number. He initially thought about not answering it but then reconsidered and pressed the answer button.

"Hello, is this Zhang Zheng?"

As soon as Zhang Zheng put the phone to his ear, a pleasant voice came through the receiver.

"This voice sounds familiar," Zhang Zheng thought to himself, not giving it much thought at first.

On the other end, the voice grew impatient when Zhang Zheng didn't respond, raising its volume. "Zhang Zheng, you jerk, speak up!"

"Damn, it's Morgana!"

"How did you get my phone number?" Zhang Zheng was stunned for a moment when he realized it was Morgana and blurted out a silly question.

Indeed, it was a silly question. For a civilization as advanced as the demons, acquiring a phone number is trivial.

As expected, Morgana immediately mocked Zhang Zheng.

"With your Earth's technology, what's so surprising about me getting your number?"

Morgana's voice carried a tone of disdain that irritated Zhang Zheng. He resolved in his mind to link his communication system to the Skynet and then connect it to the Mind Stone, making it impossible for anyone to hack him again. Then, he would find an opportunity to mock both Kaisa and Morgana, who had both belittled him over communication issues before.

Zhang Zheng wasn't the type to let things slide.

"Morgana, just get to the point."

"You're not exactly the patient type, so let's skip the small talk," Zhang Zheng responded to Morgana with some irritation. He didn't believe that Morgana would have any goodwill toward him after he had tricked her.

"I want to meet with you. We don't have any direct conflict, do we?"

Morgana could sense Zhang Zheng's impatience and quickly stated her purpose.

"Alright, since the Demon Queen herself is inviting, I'll definitely come."

"Just tell me the time and place."

Zhang Zheng, confident in his abilities, left the time and place up to Morgana.

Morgana cursed silently. If it weren't for Karl telling her that the Grand Clock hadn't yet calculated a way to kill Zhang Zheng, she would've considered this the perfect opportunity.

This guy, not only is he coming alone, but he's also letting me choose the time and place. He's completely underestimating me.

Despite her thoughts, Morgana said, "Fine, I'll keep it simple. Tomorrow at 10 a.m., at the café in the Angel International Building. I'll be waiting."

"Alright, 10 a.m. tomorrow. I'll be there on time."

Zhang Zheng wasn't one to waste time. Since Morgana had laid her cards on the table, he was curious to see what scheme the Demon Queen had in mind.

After agreeing on the time, both Zhang Zheng and Morgana hung up the phone.

...

Zhang Zheng walked out of his room and went straight to Yan's door, knocking on it.

Knock knock knock.

"Come in," Angel Yan's lazy voice came from inside.

Hearing the response, Zhang Zheng didn't hesitate and pushed the door open.

"Ah...!" Zhang Zheng screamed.

Initially, seeing that it was Zhang Zheng who entered, Angel Yan was about to scream, but Zhang Zheng's scream interrupted her.

What the heck? Angel Yan was confused. In her 7,000 years of life, she'd never encountered someone like Zhang Zheng before.

Are you serious? You nearly saw me naked, and I'm the one who should be screaming. Why are you, a grown man, screaming? And why haven't you turned around yet?

"Still staring? Get out!" Angel Yan gritted her teeth and cursed under her breath.

"Oh, oh," Zhang Zheng quickly responded and turned to leave.

That was intense—Zhang Zheng was a bit overwhelmed. Just moments ago, as he entered, he saw Angel Yan facing away from him, taking off her clothes. She was down to just her underwear.

Zhang Zheng initially thought she was giving him another angelic "benefit" and didn't pay much attention until Yan suddenly turned around.

At that moment, Zhang Zheng felt like he was done for. The sight of her two prominent, snow-white peaks, along with the delicate red buds, was burned into his mind.

Noticing the change in Angel Yan's expression after she saw him, Zhang Zheng made the smartest decision.

Before Angel Yan could scream, Zhang Zheng screamed first.

That shout completely threw Angel Yan off. Without worrying about her exposed body, she hurriedly told Zhang Zheng to get out.

If Angel Moy or Angel Zhui had seen Zhang Zheng screaming in her room, Angel Yan felt no one would believe her, no matter how much she explained.

In the living room, Zhang Zheng sat on the sofa, knowing that Angel Yan would definitely come to find him.

However, before Yan could come out, Angel Zhui and Angel Moy arrived in the living room first.

"God Zhang, what happened just now? Why did you scream like that?"

Angel Moy was the first to speak, her voice full of curiosity. What could have caused the powerful God Zhang to scream in such a way?

Angel Zhui remained silent, quietly observing Zhang Zheng, waiting to hear his explanation.

Zhang Zheng glanced at Angel Yan, who had just come out of her room, unsure of how to explain. He gave her a look, hoping for help.

Understanding the situation, Angel Yan knew it was best not to let this incident spread, so she quickly changed the subject.

"Zhang Zheng, why did you come to see me?" Angel Yan asked directly.

She knew that Zhang Zheng must have had something important to discuss; otherwise, he wouldn't have come to her door at this hour. Normally, Zhang Zheng never sought her out at night.

This was also why she had allowed someone in while changing, assuming it was Zhui or Moy. She hadn't expected such an awkward situation to arise.

"Morgana is back on Earth," Zhang Zheng said after a moment of thought.

His tone was calm, without any extra emotion, as if Morgana, the universe's greatest evil, was nothing significant to him.

Though Zhang Zheng's tone was flat, it was undoubtedly significant news for the angels.

Led by Angel Yan, the three angels stood up from the sofa.

"Is this information accurate?" Angel Yan asked seriously.

Her reaction was understandable. After tracking Morgana for nearly two thousand years, Angel Yan was about to pass the mission to Zhixin. Now, Zhang Zheng suddenly told her there was news about Morgana. It was no wonder Angel Yan was surprised.

"Relax, beautiful Yan. It's just Morgana; there's no need to be so tense."

Seeing the angels so nervous, Zhang Zheng tried to reassure them.

"Just Morgana? Just?" Angel Yan thought Zhang Zheng was being arrogant.

In the known universe, only Queen Kaisa could match Morgana.

Angel Yan didn't understand where Zhang Zheng got the confidence to dismiss Morgana so lightly. To her, Zhang Zheng seemed a bit overconfident.
