Ariella’s POV
I should have been overjoyed by the offer. I should have jumped on him and hugged him, but for some reason, all I could feel was anger. The worst thing was, I wasn't even sure why I was angry.
"You think giving me a second chance now will change anything?" I snapped, unable to contain my frustration. "You waited until I was at my lowest, disheveled and tormented, to grant me another shot. You’re only doing this out of pity."
I didn't realize I was yelling. I prayed no one else in the mansion had heard me. Sebastian’s eyes widened slightly, but he remained composed. My anger flared again. "It shouldn’t take seeing someone broken to offer them a chance. It's pathetic that it took this for you to reconsider!"
As the words left my mouth, a wave of panic washed over me. What was I doing? I hadn't meant to lash out like this. My emotions were a tangled mess, the stress of the past weeks breaking through my carefully maintained facade.
