Evelyn's POV
Inviting someone like Sebastian to a meal was something I never imagined I'd do. He was the kind of man who dined in upscale restaurants, probably used to five-course meals with expensive wines, not greasy fast food. But I didn't have much choice. My budget was tight, and honestly, I wasn’t ashamed to admit that I loved the simplicity of a good hamburger and crispy fried chicken. They reminded me of the few moments of comfort I had as a rogue—simple pleasures in a life otherwise defined by hardship.
When I finally gathered the courage to ask him to dinner, I half-expected him to decline, or worse, suggest some fancy place where I couldn’t even afford the tip. But he didn’t. Instead, he accepted with a curious look that made me wonder what was going on in his head.
