2. Clues unlock

The next morning, at work Lim couldn't stop thinking of all the things that have been happening lately and due to the lack of sleep for two nights she couldn't concentrate at her work.

" Lim you seem very unfocused at work today."

"Sorry Sir, recently there have been so much going on ."

Lim's boss looked very disappointed. He was short, fat, and always wore a blue coat with his old crampy face every morning.

" Don't bring your home problems to work leave 'em at home. Continue what you have been doing."

" Yes, Sir I understand."

Lim was not found of her boss, he was always money minded and selfish. Every morning he would go shouting at all the office workers, some how or the other he always found a fault at their works even in the smallest mistake. Everyone at work didn't like him much, office was a living hell with him around shouting his short ass in everyone's business.

" Hey Lim is everything alright? You don't seem too well today."

"I'm alright but thanks for the concern, Sam."

Sam was a very kind and gentle man. He always made the office a brighter place, he smiled at everyone even including the crampy boss. Everyone would wander how he did it everyday.

" Do you want to get coffee?"

"Yes, I think coffee is a great idea."

"The cafe nearby is the best let's go there, my treat."

The cafe next to our office building was always busy and full of people, their coustomer service was amazing which also added to the food they served.

After a long and tiring day with extra work hour Lim was going back home dreaming of the hot shower and cozy bed when man bumped at her.

"Young lady, be aware of the time. When one rises one dies."

When she turned to ask the man what he meant he had already disappeared into the dark road. She didn't remember what he looked like but the only thing she remembered was that he was wearing a long worn off of brown jacket. She thought what a strange man and what did he even mean.

After reaching home she went straight to shower, the warm water touching her face and flowing down to her body and the fragments of hers soap filled the whole room.

A warm shower and a cup of beer was the best thing after a long day at work.

* BRRRRIIIINGG

The phone rang loudly on the side table of the bed, she rushed to the phone to pick it up.

"Hello Officer Nolon. Did you find anything?"

She was anxious and worried if something came up again or another new findings was found.

" Hello Lim, recently I have been going around her family interviewing them one by one on and i also interviewed her boyfriend as well."

" Did you find anything?"

Lim was disparate to know everything,She wanted the thuth.

" I did find something interesting but you'll have to come to the police station tomorrow again around 11:30 am."

" Ok I'll see you at the station tomorrow."

She laid on bed, tears running down her cheeks. Her heart hurted so much it felt like lots of needles poking her heart, the bitterness in her mouth made it hard to breath.

She missed her bestfriend.

" Good morning Officer Nolon, what was the thing you wanted to talk about?"

Lim was an hour early at the station, she was anxious and didn't sleep a wink last night which made her woke up early. She didn't wanted to wait for 11 'o' clock which made her more anxious so she just went to the station early.

"Good morning Lim, your came quite early considering the fixed time."

" I know, I was just so anxious that I couldn't wait. Is it possible to just begin since I'm already here?"

" Follow me."

Officer Nolon took her to a different room for her second interrogation, this room seemed more normal than the first. It was another small room with two big windows, off white walls and green curtains. A small glass table at the center with some magazines and a small green plant on the center, one large grey sofa on the left and two single sitter grey sofa on the right.

" Recently I called Max's boyfriend to office and we had a short talk, where he mentioned that the argument they had was just about a trip they were planning on taking, there was nothing useful from him. We also had a talk with Max's sister but nothing from her either or her parents but they did mention something interesting about a co-worker whom I was hoping you might know."

"A co-worker-?"

" Take your time thinking about it, in the mean time I'll go to the office to get some paperworks."

A co-worker who Max had a on and off relationship?

Looking up at the plain off-white ceiling she thought hard of the things Max told her about, Nolon walked in some files.

"Did you remember anything?"

" I'm not really sure who it is but if I'm guessing it right it might be Louis. When Max was promoted as manger of Beauty Fifty, Louis was really jealous. I head from Max that according to the age of promotion Louis was supposed to be promoted as the manager ."

" So your telling me that Louis was supposed to be the manager but why did Max get it?"

" I'm also not really sure of how she got it be it seems like the owners of the company really liked Max from the day she joined."

" Where was Max working again?"

"At Beauty Fifty."

" Thank you for your time today. I'll contact you again if anything comes up."

It was passed 2 'o' clock when Lim walked out of the police station, the ground was still wet from the rain and a bright, clear, big rainbow was across the sky.

A rainbow? Doesn't it means good luck? Will this case be a success? Will the murderer be found?
